MIL engrossed in Deal or No Deal so some time for myself to catch up on the thread.
umlauf shame about meconium... it's exactly what I had and also had to be induced because I wasn't making enough progress myself. It went OK for me and you can do it! I remember you were asking about epidural the other day and didn't seem too keen on it. Just take one contraction at a time and think how your body opens up with each contraction. It really helped me mentally to imagine it. Also try to breathe into the pain if it makes any sense? They always told me this when I was doing yoga. Our natural reaction is to tense up when we feel pain which makes it only worse. If we relax into it instead and breathe into the pain and tension we cope better. Sorry - I don't mean to be preachy at all as everyone is so different but I really think this is what helped me massively when I was induced. So sharing this just in case it helps you too xxx
anything you just reminded me about something... when I did my NCT classes over 5 years ago, the NCT lady told us that holding a newborn may help bring on labour as we release a lot of oxytocin when we hold a tiny baby. I totally forgot about it! Now... which of our new babies is closest to me...? Have we already had one in London? I'm on my way!!!
flyer this is an outrageous amount for your car insurance if it's only a golf. Saying this, what I found with car insurance is that most popular makes and models can actually cost much more to insure as they are more likely to be stolen. Perhaps something to bear in mind when buying a new car...
natalie so happy about your DH's paternity leave!
and MrsO glad your little one has decided to turn!
I had more stabbing pains down there earlier today, the same ones I had on Sunday and they told me the baby's head was 2/5 engaged yesterday. I really feel like it's even lower down this afternoon but no appointments now for two weeks... am I going to jump the queue too...??
