He'd better do Lyra Grin

Mummy seraphine have some lovely skinny over the bump jeans. I'm planning on buying them when I have enough of a bump to hold them up Grin

I love under the bump at the mo. I don't have much of a bump, but I could not stand anything around my waist.

rescoonetwothree · 16/09/2013 10:36

Felt movement again this morning also! Only second time but took me a bit by surprise!

Also not in maternity yet but looking rather preggo all of a sudden, very noticeable now i think because I'm the runt of the litter. I think I'll go for over bump, no other reason than under bump just seem a little awkward haha!

Yay lyra Wink!

Come on twins!

FrankelInFoal · 16/09/2013 11:13

I'm in over the bump trousers/jeans. They're still a bit big for me at the moment but my god they are the comfiest things in the world Grin

Thanks for the Gaviscon advice, I'll stop by the chemist at lunchtime and ask the pharmacists advice.

FoxMulder · 16/09/2013 11:30

Pram You have GOT to tell me what fishing is? I'm assuming it's not the obvious?

FoxMulder · 16/09/2013 11:41

Is anyone else getting a bit breathless, even when sitting down? I feel like there is pressure on my windpipe. It's not nice.

Also my nose is always bunged up! It makes going to sleep difficult.

Prambo · 16/09/2013 11:46

MummyPig, I have bewailed the H&M maternity range, but their over-the-bump skinny jeans are a beautiful colour of denim. You just need to hoik 'em up a bit (and the cargo pants will not stay up).

Frankel, you won't find a better heartburn remedy on the market than Gaviscon. Who cares how it tastes? It's the racehorse's testicles Wink

Good luck, scannees. Not sure why we're expecting twins on here; there's only 40 of us and 1-in-63 women will have twins.

Fox, ha! Yes, I meant normal pedestrian fishing! I used to competition fish all over Europe but gave it up when I discovered drugs in my early twenties. In more recent years I found that my dealer was an angler and so we used to get off our tits and poach fisheries at the dead of night. We made an absolute fortune.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/09/2013 11:46

Fox I'm exactly the same. Ive been breathless for weeks. And the stuffy nose is so irritating.

Is anyone else finding it increasingly harder to get comfy in bed?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/09/2013 11:48

Prambo I've said it before, and I'm saying it again. Please, please write a book of your life. Please Grin

MTBMummy · 16/09/2013 11:48

Morning all

Good luck to Abi and Happy for your scans today

I was proper posh yesterday and demanded DP take me to KFC for lunch - chicken fillets chips and gravy - lush!

We complete on our house on Friday, I'm so happy/terrified - we've rented for 10 years and can only just afford to buy so I have never been in this much debt (or this broke - having paid our full deposit now) but we spent the weekend, buying furniture for DD who has to move out of the cotbed, because we'll need to turn that back into a cot for flea - and while I know that'll be at least a year away, I'd rather do it now and make the move a big exciting thing for DD.

For those of you needing work clothes - check out

Isabella Oliver and skinny over bump I had a bit of a splurge - but it's all sale stuff so cheaper than I expected.

I'm feeling very heavy and slow. I usually bomb around at 100mph, now I'm so slow and close to waddling. It's waaaay to soon for that!

Apparently pregnancy hormones can make the nasal passages swell, which would explain the stuffy noses. And probably also accounts for why pregnant women are more likely to snore.

FoxMulder · 16/09/2013 11:51

Hahahahaa! Pram you did just mean fishing! It was just when used in a sentence about a drug dealer taking you dogging I assumed it was something deviant Grin

No Maybe Yes to not getting comfy in bed, but I think it's down to the stuffy nose/crushed windpipe/trapped gas at the minute.

LyraSilvertongue · 16/09/2013 11:53

MTB, I MUST have those jeans. I don't want to look or feel frumpy just because I'm pg and those would do nicely.

FoxMulder · 16/09/2013 11:55

Lyra Yeah, I heard that about the stuffy noses and the hormones. What a weird symptom. Not sure what I'm supposed to do about it though. Normally I would snort some decongestant spray, but not allowed that anymore.

Prambo · 16/09/2013 12:02

Fox, I knew what you meant; could've been a bizarre (and rather deviant) combo.

Marbie, there's not enough word processing ink in the world to cover the story of my bonkers life. And you know what? It would be so, so depressing to write it, you know?

Lyra, I am actually excited for your fella's return!

I have to go out in this devilishly stormy weather to catch a bus to go and renew my driving license in a nearby town. I am buoying myself by picturing the Greggs pasties I'll scoff when I'm there.

Rockchick1984 · 16/09/2013 12:24

I love my H&M over-bump skinnies! Last pregnancy I had under bump as I think they look nicer when getting undressed Grin but over bump are definitely more comfortable, and means I don't show builder's arse when I bend over!!

Bought myself this coat today, my maternity coat from last time doesn't have a hood and there's no way I'm going to try and push the pram and fight with a brolly! The toggles on it are fairly high up so will be able to shape it around the bump as I get bigger. I'm normally a size 10 so got a 14 and it should last til the end of pregnancy!

Lyra so glad DP is home tonight for you!

Faith I think some clothes are fine in larger sizes, but some things look better as actual maternity otherwise they can make you look fat all over rather than give you an obvious bump. I had some empire line tea dresses pre pregnancy last time which looked fab as tops right til the end last time, I got £2 vest tops from new look rather than maternity ones, but (for example) unless you gain a lot of weight then you will need maternity for your bottom half as normal jeans will just fall down :)

LyraSilvertongue · 16/09/2013 12:28

Thanks Rock and Pram. I'm busy making sure the house is immaculate for when he arrives.

I haven't had to worry about coats before as I had two summer babies so my bump was fairly small in winter. I'm going to try to find a second hand one I think.

LyraSilvertongue · 16/09/2013 12:33

I'm amazed that April are still on their first thread. Are there only three of them or something?

FoxMulder · 16/09/2013 12:34

I know, I noticed that just before!

BNmum · 16/09/2013 12:39

lazy snuggles with the dh sounds lovely lyra, enjoy!

I'm so pleased you said that nomaybe as I'd put a pair in my basket. I've was really pleased with the dresses and tops i got from there last time so thought the jeans should be equally as good. Have you got skinny or bootcut ones?

It's just down to personal preference faithful, I haven't got any great theory surrounding them just that I like my fat preggers belly to feel free Grin. If anything I would imagine that over the belly would be more supportive when you are in the later stages, I just cant bring myself to wear them.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/09/2013 12:47

I've got straight leg ones at the moment BN, but I am getting me a pair of skinnies at pay day!! The delivery is super quick too!

MTBMummy · 16/09/2013 12:50

Lyra enjoy the snuggles (and wasn't it you who asked about rimming? - enjoy that too Wink )

DS started primary school today. I will post a pic of how lovely he looks in his school uniform on the FB group later. I am so proud of him, he was so excited but when we arrived got a bit shy. However once he was in the classroom he got going with an activity and was quite happy to say goodbye. I didn't expect to feel so emotional. DD (2) was so jealous!!

I am still retching but still not getting much in the way of movement. Nearly 16 weeks and want to start feeling it now because I'm getting a bit paranoid!

faithfulandtruthful · 16/09/2013 12:59

Rock Thanks for the advice. I have lost over a stone in weight since the begining of pregnancy, so I am only just back onto my 'normal' sized clothes, I can't quite imagine ever needing anything to go over a bump!

BNmum I think I may also be a freedom to the bump person! However I may change my mind when I'm freezing cold over the winter.

F&T

FoxMulder · 16/09/2013 13:10

F&T I've lost just under a stone, but somehow I have gained a massive bump anyway! Confused

MTBMummy · 16/09/2013 13:38

Woo Hoo! finally got a date for my 16 week check, I'll be 18 weeks - sigh..
