Yayh! Fabby stuff rock that's great that both of you can feel movements now! :0)

Happyhoppy · 15/09/2013 23:18

abibub I've got my scan tomorrow too. Excited but nervous! Hope all goes well for you.

AbiBub · 15/09/2013 23:28

Ahhh fabby glad that someone else is being scaned tomorrow as well! I hope all goes well with yours too happyhoppy :0)

RaspberrysAndIcecream · 16/09/2013 06:14

Good luck Abi and Happy with ur scans today.

I'm telling the boys that I look after about the baby today - I'm not sure how they're going to react!! Their dad thinks that they'll be excited and their mum thinks that the little one will think its going to be his brother!! Lol!!

Have a good Monday everyone, I'm struggling to get out of bed. The weather is shit and cold!!!

SoSurprised · 16/09/2013 06:29

Good luck with the scans Abi and happy.

I hear ya raspberry, took me ages to get out of bed today

MummyPig24 · 16/09/2013 07:02

Morning everyone. Good luck for the scans today!

I've got a massive spot erupting on my chin and it fucking hurts. Lying in bed listening to the kids singing "spongebob square poo". Delightful.

x0gawjus0x · 16/09/2013 07:07

Good luck on scans today ladies :-) hope everyones doing well! Seems to be going sooo slow :(

Keep getting pains in my sides and also in my foof when i really need a wee :-(

Those of you who can feel movement are so lucky must be really reassuring for you! 16 wks tomorrow and i felt nada :( xx

x0gawjus0x · 16/09/2013 07:09

Ooft mummy spot squeezing is such an addictive pain!!

FrankelInFoal · 16/09/2013 07:09

Morning all, good luck for today's scanees!

Can't quite believe I'm 16w tomorrow Shock Seeing the midwife on Thursday and hoping to hear the foal's heartbeat - not sure what fruit/veg we are this week Wink

Quick question, I think I might be getting a touch of heartburn/acid indigestion after eating. Are those of you in the same boat using Gaviscon or is there something better out there? It's not really bad, but it's quite uncomfortable so I need to go out and get something today.

OwlinaTree · 16/09/2013 07:40

I don't like gavascol, I just take the cheapo chalky fruit flavoured Morrison's ones and seem to work OK.

Rockchick1984 · 16/09/2013 07:44

Frank if you can get to the dr they will prescribe enormous bottles of gaviscon so its free :) I couldn't stomach gaviscon last time so coped ok using Rennies, and vanilla ice cream which was probably the best thing! Oh, and 16 weeks is an avocado apparently :)

Good luck today Abi and Happy

BNmum · 16/09/2013 07:56

Morning ladies, I'm so Envy of all the movement talk.

Result on all the freebie stuff prambo and congratulations on overcoming your fear and facing your ex-dealer, that was a huge deal!

Has anyone bought any nice maternity skinny jeans/jeggings? I must order some this week, pjs and tracky bums just aren't suitable for public appearances.

BNmum · 16/09/2013 07:56

Good luck for all the scans today too!

commsgirl · 16/09/2013 08:08

Good luck to today's scanees!

BN I've got some H&M over bump ones which fit quite nicely and are pretty comfy. I didn't like the New Look ones but I think some others on here have had more luck with them! Want to try the Gap ones.

I felt movement yesterday too :). So exciting!

lumpylumps · 16/09/2013 08:33

I'm on the gaviscon. Luckily I love it, a highlight of pregnancy. Which is a good thing really seeing as though I suffer really badly with heartburn!! It might be worth checking what the others say cos some say they shouldn't be used during pregnancy. No idea why.

Good luck scanees, will we get our twins today??

rockchick that's lovely. I think it helps them when they can feel it too, makes it more real for them. Dh is useless, he never feels it till around 25 weeks!!

LyraSilvertongue · 16/09/2013 08:52

I lived on Gaviscon throughout the second half of both previous pregnancies. I couldn't sleep without it. I had heartburn in bed last night so looks like its started already. Great.

I think my baby is a large Cadburys Fruit and Nut this week. At a guess.

DP is coming home today and I can't wait Grin

BNmum · 16/09/2013 09:43

Thanks comms, the H & M catalogue came through the door this morning so i've just had a look. They look nice but i have to have under the bump, i cant cope with overbump ones. I'll check out the gap ones, thanks for the tip.

How long has dp been away for lyra, do you have anything nice planned for your happy reunion?

LyraSilvertongue · 16/09/2013 09:47

Only two weeks but it feels like two months. I expect he'll be tired when he gets home after a day of travelling so nothing planned except big hugs and kisses Smile

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/09/2013 09:52

I bet you can't wait Lyra! Will he come bearing gifts?! Wink

BN check out seraphine as well for jeans. Their under the bump ones are so comfy!

Good luck for the scans today! Are these our last two?

faithfulandtruthful · 16/09/2013 09:56

Raspberries I am interested to hear how it goes, my boss is also pregnant so waiting for her to tell the kids about their baby bro/sis first before I tell them about my bump. I'd be interested to know how you tell them.

BNmum Why do you favour under bump maternity trousers, I'm a first timer so wondering which to get. What makes under more comfortable verses over?

When roughly should you OH start to be able to feel the baby move?

F&T

MummyPig24 · 16/09/2013 10:01

I couldn't handle gaviscon. So I munched on rennies. I've been through one pack already as they seemed to help with nausea a little. I'm ok now though.

I favour over the bump jeans, I found under the bump just fell off my arse and I was forever pulling them up.

FoxMulder · 16/09/2013 10:12

Morning all. Have lots to catch up on, not been on since Fri. Hope all is well?

I have rather gone off rennies since they made me throw up & I saw that my stomach contents consisted entirely of foam!!

Am loving my first pair of maternity jeans (under bump). Elastic top jeans are the way forward!

faithfulandtruthful · 16/09/2013 10:14

Mummy that is what my boss said but I was curious to discover that BNmum favours the opposite, love a good counter position. I have no bump to pull maternity trousers over currently, so awaiting the arrival of bumpdom before venturing into the maternity section! My MW recons I'll get away with larger sized 'normal' clothes, I guess I'll have to wait and see!

Am thinking about venturing over to the facebook group, now I've heard the heart beat and can feel ot moving, seems more real.

F&T

MummyPig24 · 16/09/2013 10:20

Me too f&t. I'm still in my regular clothes. I would like to actually look pregnant now rather than just fat! It's really hard to find skinny over the bump jeans though. I've just been looking online and most of the skinnies seem to be under the bump and I do like skinnies to wear with boots in winter.

LyraSilvertongue · 16/09/2013 10:21

I'm hoping so, Maybe WinkGrin

I have a pair of over-bump leggings which fall down sometimes because my large bump is just not large enough yet. I did have some under-bump trousers last time and I found I was forever hoiking them up.
