Sound like a very emotionally draining day saggy. Have a good rest tonight. Very upsetting to know you could have had that done days ago, but it's done now.

Not so very long to wait for the first results but I'm sure it will feel like an eternity to you. FX for the best possible outcomes for you.

commsgirl · 19/09/2013 22:30

Owl Thanks

Saggy Glad to hear from you. Sounds like you've had a stressful day. I hope time goes really fast for you between now and getting your results. Fingers crossed x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 19/09/2013 22:34

Oh Saggy what a long day. I hope you manage to have a restful night. And it's good to have another Essex girl here Wink

OwlinaTree · 19/09/2013 22:36

Thanks comms

Prambo · 19/09/2013 23:41

Saggy, I really hope it's the happiest news for you on Tuesday and beyond. Tough day.

I have just been practising my squatting technique over th'usband's knob and my dancing days have served me well. I haven't Body Pumped in a good few months but my legs are still very strong. I guess it will be far more problematic when there's a mammoth bump in the way.

You okay, Jolls? You still my pie buddy or do I need to settle for one of these sausage roll fuckers?

MummyPig24 · 20/09/2013 07:03

saggy, what an emotional, stressful time you are having. I hope you get good news on Tuesday.

SoSurprised · 20/09/2013 07:33

Saggy such a long day for you. Will be thinking of you. Hope you get the best news on tuesday

MTBMummy · 20/09/2013 08:15

Not been on for a few days - so will go back and catch up, but just wanted to ask - is anyone else still suffering with being sick? Was sick all Wednesday evening, and several times this morning - when does the glowing start?

Have had to drag my sorry arse into the office because it's my last day before I have a week off to move house and it looks like the vendors aren't ready to move out yet - sob

Good morning everyone - wishing you all a better day than I'm having

FrankelInFoal · 20/09/2013 08:17

Saggy, hope you have as restful a weekend as possible and that the call comes promptly on Monday.

Beccadugs · 20/09/2013 08:32

MTB I am still being sick nearly everyday. Still on meds, but they are starting to work less I think. I'm 16 weeks so I don't think I will ever glow!

Rockchick1984 · 20/09/2013 09:00

Morning Martians!! Good luck for the move MTB remember that you're not to lift anything too heavy!

Sorry for those of you still being sick. A good friend of mine had constant vomiting until week 17 with her first then it was like someone hit a switch and it just stopped one day, so there's still hope that the glowing will start!

My mum came round for tea last night and she got to feel the baby kicking, and I got the new Doppler out so she heard the heartbeat too. She cried - think it all feels real for her now!

Was it on here too many threads that people were talking about it not feeling real yet? With DS it didn't feel real until I started getting regular kicks, whereas this time its felt real since the 12 week scan so think it just depends.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 20/09/2013 09:07

Saggy that's rubbish that they've messed you about delaying things unnecessarily like that - it's not what you need at a time like that!

MTB I haven't been actually sick for just over two weeks although there have been some close calls but in my other pregnancies I've sometimes had gaps of three weeks before throwing up loads again so I'm not counting my chickens yet.

Pirates I might be remembering wrong but I thought the official line was that there is a small increased risk of retained placenta due to the uterus shrinking down more quickly but that they consider this is outweighed by the supposed reduced risk of PPH. But if it's a small increased risk then that would still mean that most people who have retained placenta would have had it anyway.

And Bear I second *Owlina"'s recommendation of the Sands website - I wish everyone had read it when we lost our baby.

commsgirl · 20/09/2013 09:19

Sorry people are still being sick! Nausea has started to ease off but definitely no glowing here still.

Beccadugs · 20/09/2013 09:25

I've just had my 16 week appointment. Found the lobsters heartbeat straight away. 150beats per min, and sounded like a galloping horse. Which gender should that be?!

Rockchick1984 · 20/09/2013 09:30

Becca that would be girl however the theory has been completely disproved re heartbeat and gender.

faithfulandtruthful · 20/09/2013 10:19

Saggy Pleased to hear that you've survied your amnioetc. Rubbish to hear they could hsve done it sooner. Will keep everythimg crossed that your redults come bavk quickly and with a positive out vome for you and baby.

Bee you are most definitely not alone. It felt a bit more real when I heard the heart beat and could feel little flutters.

I have finally started to look fat develop a bump I'm pretty certain eveything has moved up as I can no longer feel many flutters :-( I still don't look pregnant that's for sure!

My 20week scan is 22nd October. We are not planning on finding out the gender.

rescoonetwothree · 20/09/2013 10:50

good luck for the move mtb

would you be adverse to me 'attempting' a spreadsheet for gender guesses for the fb and then you have the option of fixing it (when you're not moving / don't have actual useful things to do) when i give up and make a right pigs ear of it?

justmuddlingthroughit · 20/09/2013 10:55

jolleeeiiiggghhh! Where are you? Sad

AbiBub · 20/09/2013 12:01

Hey.

saggy big hugz to you and well done for being so brave, glad the needle wasnt as bad as you thought, pain wise. Im keeping everything crossed for you znd hopefully you'll get the results sooner rather than later. x

Cant go back as on my phone, but with my ds I had ms till just gone 16 weeks so there is hopeful blooms on horizon for you ladies still suffering yep that includes me still suffering here, I really do hope it subsides for us all still suffering very soon.

Placenta keeping just not quite something id do, but far be it for me to judge anybody that wants to! I had the injection and but I was epiduraled up aswell so didnt notice that or them stitching up my episiotomy thank goodness

I was in the bath last night and im sure I felt flutters :0) it felt comforting. :0)

So as I'm fairly new on this thread, just wondering who here is expecting their first? Im on my 2nd (obv) with a fair few chem pgs in between. Some stuff feels like brand new yo me again because of the age gap!

coolhand waves hello

My 20 week is 11th November so ages away!! :0/

IceNoSlice · 20/09/2013 12:10

Hey Abibub, have you seen the marvellous stats thread that MTB did? That has all the info about whether DC1, 2 (or 5!) and people's ages etc. There is a link on page 1.

MummyPig24 · 20/09/2013 12:24

MTB, hope the move goes well.

I feel much better now. Almost 15 weeks and have been feeling better for almost 2 weeks. I feel like it is going so slowly. I want to hear baby's heartbeat and see him/her on the scan again. I'm so worried that something terrible is going to be found on the next scan.

I did have a weird dream last night about the scan though, we told the sonographer we didn't want to know the sex but she told us anyway, it was a girl. I've been having strong boy feelings but I'm doubting it now!

commsgirl · 20/09/2013 12:32

MTB good luck with the move!

Jol reveal yourself, it's been too long.

Abi I'm having my first :)

Teddybear4 · 20/09/2013 12:32

Fingers crossed for you Saggy. Get those feet up and have a Brew

I had a very stubborn placenta first time but all was fine second. I still find it the scariest bit to think about in terms of the birth this time round.

Sensitive content below.....

I just found out a lady at my toddler group lost her baby at 33 weeks. Poor lady was due at the same time as three other mums and has a toddler already. I'm a bit shaken by it to be honest. By that stage I expect you think you're on the home stretch so it must be horrendous. I can't stop thinking how she must feel.

TotalShock · 20/09/2013 12:37

My initial results came back as normal so baby doesn't have downs, Edwards or patau.

I had heart failure when she called and had a wave of panic that cos it was quick it must be bad.

The full results should take 2 weeks so hopefully they will be ok..

Thank you for all your support, thinking of you saggy x
