Aw, Jolls, lovely news! Good luck with bowel evacuation project.

Foxy, no I will not be finding out, however, I feel slightly ridiculous holding on to this seemingly-old-fashioned determination to not find out the sex.

FoxMulder · 17/09/2013 14:54

Well call me old fashioned then, because we're not finding out either.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/09/2013 15:09

Brilliant news Joll! 1.8 is perfect. Good luck with operation poogate. Keep us informed Wink

That's great Pram. The EPU here isn't the best. And they will only scan you up to 12 weeks. Anything over that and you have to go to the antenatal department.

Jolleigh · 17/09/2013 15:13

( Did think that was odd Fox - made me giggle )

Materials purchased to evacuate my innards: prunes, syrup of figs, dried apricots, fruit and fibre cereal, fybogel, orange juice.

MY BOWELS WILL EMPTY BY BED TIME!

FoxMulder · 17/09/2013 15:15

Hehe, sorry Jol I must remember to address the person I'm talking to by name!

faithfulandtruthful · 17/09/2013 15:20

Joll I believe anything under 3.5 is within 'normal' range BUT obviousley that alone will not give you the result you will have to wait for boods to come back. Good luck with the evacuation! You'll feel loads better.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 17/09/2013 15:34

F&T I don't think you're being precious at all. This is the longest I've ever been pregnant without it being public knowledge (it's usually public knowledge by about six weeks due to how ill I get) because it's the first time I've had good enough treatment to keep it quiet and (aside from a few close friends and the Pregnancy sickness support group) I'm determined to not announce it IRL for as long as I can get away with it just because I want to enjoy the experience of knowing while the whole world doesn't as long as I am able to.

x0gawjus0x · 17/09/2013 15:37

Seen bump pics on fb omg!! My belly just looks like flab so jeloussss althou fairly easy to hide from parents still!

had to renew my expired passport, dr wouldnt sign optician wouldnt sign so i got a taxi driver to.. Surely thats someone in good standing with the public? Hope so...

commsgirl · 17/09/2013 15:41

Pram We're not finding out either :)

Prambo · 17/09/2013 15:44

Come on, Jolls! You can do it!

Prambo · 17/09/2013 15:45

Erm..do NOT look at that link if you are eating!!

HotCrossPun · 17/09/2013 15:47

Your Dr isn't accepted as a countersignature anymore gaw it needs to be somebody who knows you like a friend or a work colleague.

There is a list on the Gov website that gives you all the acceptable professions. Taxi driver isn't on their and I've never heard of them being accepted.

It has to be somebody who works in a professional job or in a trusted position.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 17/09/2013 15:47

Prambo, yes you can call me BWP. I think it's just that they are different children and have different personalities and different needs. DD2 is definitely a hungrier baby and I seemed to produce a lot more milk than with DD1 and DD1 was very routine whereas DD2 is not really - my mum still talks about how you could set your clock for when DD1 would start grumbling for dinner at five o'clock.

F&T, yes the plan is for the new baby to cosleep. We're currently (since she stopped feeding in the night and I got pregnant) gradually moving DD2 who if all goes well will be in a bed sharing a room with DD1 by the time this one arrives. Currently she is in the cot which is still right next to the bed but we have put the side on.

HotCrossPun · 17/09/2013 15:48

But you only need to get your form countersigned if you look a lot different now than you did on your last passport photo.

If you can still be recognized from your old photo them just leave section 10 blank.

MummyPig24 · 17/09/2013 15:49

Saggy I have my fingers and toes crossed for good news from your amnio.

Joll caffeine always does it for me, coffee in particular. I will need to poo within half an hour of having one.

I've had a manic day, still got my friends little girl here, no idea when she is being collected, and I'm supposed to be going over to my aunts because its her twin girls birthdays today. I may get over at some point! Gammon for tea, as requested by ds.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 17/09/2013 15:52

We found out the gender with DD1 but not DD2. WHen she was born it was actually a few minutes before I remmebered to check which she was. I was considering it this time but now I've had people ask if we are "trying for a boy" which makes me want to not find out in order to illustrate that I don't mind which I have. I have stacks of girls clothes and a girl would give me an excuse to have another one as people would assume we were "trying for a boy" again.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 17/09/2013 15:54

Well, today we discovered that DD2 has slapped cheek disease which can pose a risk in the first twenty weeks so I've just had a blood test to see if I'm already immune or not. I'm really hoping I am otherwise there'll be all the stress of whether I do get it and waiting to find out etc. etc.

Jolleigh · 17/09/2013 16:06

Pram - I looked while eating my fruit and fibre cereal topped with chopped prunes and apricots. I actually saw it as inspiration...I'm not easy to gross out Wink

Jolleigh · 17/09/2013 16:07

BWP - forgive my ignorance...what is slapped cheek disease? Sounds very 1950s Confused

Jolleigh · 17/09/2013 16:11

Mummy - I used to drink a lot of coffee so seem quite immune to the affects unfortunately. I reckon the quantities I'd have to drink would far exceed how much the docs would agree with.

PiratesMam · 17/09/2013 16:11

Hello my beauties.

badlywritten hopefully you'll have been exposed. Fingers crossed. We've just had hand, foot and mouth disease in this house. Such medieval sounding diseases! Is DC ok? What meds are you on for the ms? I've just come off cyclizine but still being quite sick. The pills were making me so tired I couldn't concentrate on looking after the DC.

Joll happy pooing. A difficult poo is good practise for labour!!

gawjus I'm just flab on my bump at the moment too. I'm desperate to start feeling some proper movement because at the moment I just feel like a right lardass.

Prammy I've known you virtually long enough now to have hovered over that link and then thought "actually.... no". Wink

DS is still going great guns at school but the school run is a right shag. It's a 35 min walk or a drive, but driving means I always lose my parking space. OMG I just read that back, that's such a first world problem!

My cold had me up at 4am this morning and then DD wet the bed at 6am. There, that's a better problem. I'm knackered but strangely the exhaustion has given me focus and I've sorted and packed up all of DD's old small clothes, and this afternoon after school me and DS baked some choc chip fairy cakes, so I don't feel too guilty about just mn-ing now!

rescoonetwothree · 17/09/2013 16:12

saggy sorry to hear you're not having the easiest time of it at the moment, i hope you get the answer you're hoping for

comms me too, i would have been completely fine with it had she had a conversation with us at all because we make decent money and would have been happy even to put down a few months rent as an act of good faith ya know - it put a bad taste in my mouth so now I'm very glad though! we've since heard from the letting agents that she is pretty much saying no to everyone so it's an isolated incident, it worried me that others would be like it but we've never had that problem before! hope everything goes well with the baby pup x

thanks pram i agree, id hate to have moved in and then had her being difficult! I've not actually met my landlady here, she just sends people when things need fixing, i like them that way. good news on the scan! but will you be able to resist finding out if you have a prambino or prambina Grin

f&t you don't have to be friends apart from with one of us (otherwise you cant be added) and the group is completely private so no one can see that it even exists except those in it! but we'll stop pressuring you now and you can miss out on all the fb fun ;) just kidding

yay jol!!!

lumpylumps · 17/09/2013 16:16

Bloody he'll you lot, slow down, I have loads of comments to make but can't keep up with who said what!!!!

saggy thinking of you.

lambchop mmmmmmm. Sorry just your name makes my mouth water!!

pram £135 on a coat, I wish!! £1.35 more like. The h&m one looks good tho. New look have some nice ones too!

Mat jeans and bums. They will stay up better with a bigger bump, it might be worth keeping them!!

Feeding at night. I took mine out into their room. They were both ff it disturbed dh less. I know some people don't think that matters cos it's his baby too but I think if he's working 12 hour days at work then he deserves a full night sleep.

I'm getting pulling crampy pains too and pressure down there and my heartburn/trapped wind is awful.

jolls sending strong pooing vibes your way!!!

Teddybear4 · 17/09/2013 16:27

Sorry to hear that Saggy. Hope the next few days whizz by for you.

Apologies for being awol. Lots going on at the moment and hardly got time to break (trapped) wind.

Waiting at the GP surgery to see the midwife right now and hoping to hear the heartbeat so I can stop worrying about lack of movement. They seem to be running the antenatal and geriatric clinics at the same time so the room is full if fat ladies and people using wheels and sticks - a health and safety nightmare.

We'll be finding out the gender. Kids are desperate to know and I'd like to know as I'm a compulsive planner. We've found out both times before. I've had enough surprises over the last 5.5 years to make up for the ones I didn't get in the delivery room Wink

faithfulandtruthful · 17/09/2013 16:31

grey Just have very strange self inflicted 'rules' about FB, I didn't join for years. I was broken by a boy... who is now my husband (so worth selling my sole for!). So I have a Only RW friends rule and due to privacy issues regarding family no pictures/info that could identify me to RW people who I don't want to know about my life. So I am worried I'd end up being a bit voyeuristic and FB stalking all your pics without ever posting my own. Did I mention my no foetus' on FB rule? (I say foetus but anything to do with baby generally). There's always one and its usually me!
