Community MW has been

She has reassured me a good bit basically she said this drawn out labour process is more common than my last fast due date labour I had first time and not to worry. However she says its quite possible for it to go for weeks :(. BP 138/84 so the same as when i left hospital and Willows HB 134 so fine. She has had more movement since. She says they wont induce me unless they have a really good reason so its just a waiting game and that it will be sore but I will get there so to speak.

I am going to try and forget everything and just hope she comes soon enough that the pains don't go on for weeks.

I am sorry diege and nat that your having same issue with hospital care.

heffa watery discharge I have had this too thought my water had gone but not.

warlin I am sure baby has not turned for you are you getting the low down feelings and squirms or just at either side?

HeffalumpTheFlump · 15/09/2013 13:20

diege - sorry to hear you have thrush :( I have had it in the past when on antibiotics and can honestly say I was fucking miserable. I did not cope well with it at all.

roofio - I didn't think it was enough but i've read quite a lot on here about women who just had a tiny trickle when their waters broke so I wasn't sure!

falcon - Glad your mw was able to reassure you and it must have been lovely to hear willow's heartbeat when you were so worried about her. Sorry to hear this might go on a while though, I'm keeping my fx that things start properly progressing for you.

PseudoBadger · 15/09/2013 13:42

Glad you've been reassured Falcon and that Willow is moving again.

Sorry you've got thrush diege :(

Warlin part of the reason I've been so off sex is that I am so sore (stinging!) afterwards. I think it's through underuse in my case though :o

Tarlia I didn't have protein at last test (didn't get it until just before DS was induced last time). Thanks for the 3x BP tip, just took it at lunchtime and it was that 'perfect score' of 140/90....

Nat - we react to the jab as we've had the other elements like tetanus so many times before. It's a good thing really, shows the immunity is working!

Falcon pleased to hear you got some reassurance. Keep drinking that raspberry leaf and fx she will be here ASAP, we are all cheering for little willow to make her appearance. Thanks

I don't know how much more of these kicks and movements I can take, it's so bloody painful I reckon I've got some 13lb baby in here it's so strong and my bump just isn't dropping its still really high up.....I'm finding breathing a bit uncomfy....

roofio87 · 15/09/2013 14:17

flyer I agree, this baby is getting uncomfortably big now!! mw doesn't think he's particularly big, but at 37 wks I suppose he's a pretty big size and I'm not that big of a space for him!!

PseudoBadger · 15/09/2013 14:33

I agree! I actually begged DP to make it all come to an end last night as I was so uncomfortable. That led to him spouting some rubbish about swallowing semen being a sure fire way to bring on labour. So I said bugger that and went to bed :o

OP posts:
MotherOfNations · 15/09/2013 14:35

Same here Flyer. I feel like I have to consciously think about breathing now. I can really only breathe clearly when I'm lying down. I'm desperate for her to move head down so that I can breathe easier.

MotherOfNations · 15/09/2013 14:38

Grin pseudo. That sounds like the kind of thing my do would say.

Natalieand · 15/09/2013 14:43

pseudo as much as I would love to disagree with your dp I have also read somewhere that swallowing semen is more effective lol

Flyer747 · 15/09/2013 14:46

That's that then Pseudo you'd best tootle on and find dp and let him assist you in ending this pregnancy Grin I'm sure he will happily oblige.

PseudoBadger · 15/09/2013 14:53

Well I would you know... but I've got my section date to aim for and everything....

OP posts:
MotherOfNations · 15/09/2013 15:09

Ooh I've just googled and apparently there is real proof that it can help prevent pre-eclampsia too.

PseudoBadger · 15/09/2013 15:11

Oh stop! I can't tell him that! I bet the research was commissioned by hard up young male doctors...

claphammama · 15/09/2013 15:39

haha go pseudo go pseudo!!! Grin Grin

falcon so sorry to hear there is no progress for you... it must be so frustrating... surely the end must be close now x

warlin my baby is super active too. I can remember DS being as active when I was pregnant with him but can't remember him being as strong. I think this baby is much bigger and much stronger. Ouch...?!! Shock but I'm hoping I have simply forgotten some things in 5 years and this baby is also small and normal...

mrsH yes, please PM me your Vietnamese recipe!

I hope terrified is OK today. She's been quiet...

Rainy day here today so think an afternoon of cooking and watching TV. We are cooking chilli con carne today and I'm tempted to put 10 birds eye chillis in... I know it's too early to evict the baby at 34+5 but I've already had enough...

claphammama · 15/09/2013 15:41

although I feel guilty saying I've had enough reading what some of you have to go through... so I'm taking it back. xxx

Flyer747 · 15/09/2013 15:46

Get a few scotch bonnets in there as well. Baby Clapham will be begging to come out then Grin

PseudoBadger · 15/09/2013 15:47

And then give DH an after dinner treat Wink

OP posts:
Flyer747 · 15/09/2013 15:52

After all that chilli you'd best not give him his after dinner treat straightaway or else his man bits may be on fire Grin

claphammama · 15/09/2013 16:16

haha flyer! I say - whatever gets the baby out! Grin

just told him about this new theory and he said he's read about it too. Good try!

HeffalumpTheFlump · 15/09/2013 16:23

Oh lord I won't be showing dh that particular lot of research! I'm lucky to wake up without it in my face as it is. Something about my 'womanly curves' and the fact I'm growing his baby has turned him into a horny teenager. It's just a shame my libido buggered off at about 30 weeks!

Completely agree about this baby running out of space. If you press on her bum, her head pushes into my cervix, it's very odd. Her movements are breath taking sometimes, it really feels like she is trying to escape.

BowlFullofJelly · 15/09/2013 16:37

This thread is moving crazily quickly.

Sorry to hear still nothing progressing falcon, you must be very frustrated.

Dp is cooking a roast at the moment before going out this evening, which we had a big row about this morning. After having the drinking convo a few days ago he has still drank over the driving limit evertyday. I told him if he stinks of booze tomorrow he can't come to 38 week appointment with tomorrow, so he got in a sulk and had a tantrum about not going then. I swear if ds wasn't here he would hjave got a punch in the face.

This semen talk is making me boak! Defintley would prefer to wait a few weeks for baby Grin

MrsHoratioNelson · 15/09/2013 16:42

Hardly any room here either - baby seriously dislikes me resting my arms on my bump while I'm MNing and pushes its bum out to object. Then I get a heel waaaay round my side; it's very odd.

Clapham I'll dig it out and PM you when I'm on the laptop tomorrow. I've got one for rice paper rolls and a nice one for seafood salad.

claphammama · 15/09/2013 16:43

heffa just mentioned to DP that I miss morning sex a bit and he said that I always wake up too late. Excuse me??? I asked him which of my toilet visit wake up slots he would prefer to wake him up too - 3am, 4.30am or 6am?

bowlfull don't blame you. I'm also planning to impose the drinking bab very soon. I anticipate it will be a cause of at least several major dramas...

Shirehobbit · 15/09/2013 16:43

I have jutting discovered super dark chocolate infused with chili and lime.
Oh boy. Definitely better than sex right now Grin

Flyer747 · 15/09/2013 16:50

Lush shire who makes it, I love chilli chocolate. They sell Tabasco chocolate I was thinking of getting some.

I wanted something sweet and all the chocolate has been eaten, so just russled up some golden syrup flap jacks, yummy!
