Ok, I can't see a May thread in here so I guess I will start one! According to the NHS due date calculator my EDD is actually 30th April but I think that makes me more likely to be having a May baby anyway!

Am feeling very tentative about starting this thread as I had a mc in June and it's very early days for this one but...anyone want to come and chat through these nerve-wracking first few days?

How the hell do you keep this secret? It's killing me - I'm away with my bosses on a work trip in Amsterdam and everyone is drinking and I'm exhausted and just want to sleep. I'm so excited I want to be talking to my man about it but he's away too. Help me, oh May 2014 club. How do you manage to keep it secret!

rebecca I have no idea... maybe find a complete stranger and tell them....? Hold court with your pets and announce it to them while wearing a crown? But you are in Amsterdam.. so find a random tourist... preferably one who doesn't speak English and gleefully announce it to them... and erm.. does Amsterdam have a Zoo??

ThePFJ I am also having a girl according to Chinese birth predictor and boy according to Bounty!

Thistle always found it easier to think of boys names, now I'm actually pregnant I can't find any boys names I like but can find loads of lovely girls names! Picked a few out for each anyway and asked DP to too - we haven't discussed yet though :)

Hi Thistle !! On the bounty site there is a gender predictor. Google Chinese birth predictor for the other one.

AliOh I am the same.... I have a girls name picked and done.... Boys names... arghhhh I can't even find one I like..... I am thinking about asking the family to come up with some.......... LOL We have a lot in common - high five!!

I actual had my boys baby name picked out for a long long time, but that went down the pan when I met DP - he has the same name! And my second choice, his cousin has the same name! Too many difficult decisions lol, hoping to pick a few options and then decide after baby is born rather than have one set in stone :)

I've got a girl name. If it's boy, DP has to pick a name, we've been talking about it a lot, but haven't decided yet. We're not even sure about the surname, it doesn't like his, but he doesn't like mine either . And the nationality? Apparently we've got a choice of 4. It's all so complicated!

Oh my gosh you all sound so cheerful! Just got back from holidays and dp has now gone to benidorm for a stag do for a WEEK, I have got a cold, I feel SICK all day and I am stuck at home with an irritable 2 yr old that also has a cold.

Oh and the inlaws are coming tomorrow....
I am grumpy! And moany. And also very cry-y humph.

Yep names all picked two names for a girl and a boy plus middles names then we can look at baby and decide which one is best, did a mumnet big no no and told perants and shock horra they liked them and agreed
