Ok, I can't see a May thread in here so I guess I will start one! According to the NHS due date calculator my EDD is actually 30th April but I think that makes me more likely to be having a May baby anyway!

Am feeling very tentative about starting this thread as I had a mc in June and it's very early days for this one but...anyone want to come and chat through these nerve-wracking first few days?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lolablu · 14/09/2013 08:50

i think im the only one who sees this thing as real at the moment :( everyone i speak to (midwives included) just tell me to wait a few weeks.

Im so tired and etc etc. it feels so real.

Would people rather I just carried on how I was until 12 weeks and then tell me I shouldnt have eat/drank that?

agh
im 5+1

I have the sense of smell of a bloodhound!! Everything makes me gag Confused

At least I get out of changing the litter tray now though, whoop!

First weekend of not drinking, smoking and eating crap. Had to tell my best mate as we had a boozy lunch planned today!! Going to get my nails done instead Smile

Hi lola if you go on the NHS website there is a list of food there to avoid i hope this helps

AliOh · 14/09/2013 09:42

Hi clarey congrats! Agree with you on getting out of changing the litter tray hehe DP was not best impressed when I explained this to him lol. In all fairness he has been very good, cooking and cleaning after finishing work every night because I've been heading straight to bed :) he does look after me :)

Feeling better today, no nausea as yet! Fingers crossed :)

5+5

impatientlywaiting · 14/09/2013 10:04

Hi everyone,

I'm 7 weeks today. Feeling fairly sickly although I think I'm a long way from being sick. I'm constantly starving though. My stomach grumbles and feels so empty even though I'm eating so much. I've already put on so much weight. I'll be the size of a house by the time I get to 12 weeks.

7 weeks today

Chip86 · 14/09/2013 11:07

I think i been counting my days wrong i did a +7 but that would be day 1is that corrrct? so i think I'm 5+4? Confused

PixieBumbles · 14/09/2013 11:39

Lots of new Maybies! I got my scan date through yesterday. 21st October. Feels like ages away! I'm feeling really fed up with constantly feeling sick and spending a large chunk of every morning dry heaving. I have to just keep reminding myself that it will get better and will be well worth it in the end!

AliOh · 14/09/2013 11:58

Yes that's right chip a +7 would be day 1 of the next week :)

So exciting that you have your scan date already Pixie hoping ill get even my first appointment soon with the midwife! My first scan should be around the end of oct, would love to have a date set even though it's so far away, got lots of birthdays/weekends etc planned between now and then to try and keep me busy :)

Chip86 · 14/09/2013 12:04

Thank u so much alioh for conferming that for me Smile yay im further than i though hehehe
And i hope you get a scan soon good idea to keep urself busy take care

JessicaRRRabbit · 14/09/2013 12:28

Hi everyone and welcome clarey Thanks Hope you've all managed a lie in this morning.

(Crunchy, bland) cornflakes for breakfast this morning - am going shopping later on to see what takes my fancy. Might nip to bravissimo while I'm out and get remeasured as boobs are alreadyloads bigger and painful - it's got to the point where I dread putting a bra on because it's so uncomfortable to do the scooping and hoiking. Can you tell I'm a bra thread convert? Grin

Try not to worry about weight gain impatiently - you're doing well to be getting food down at all and I'm sure each of us Maybies will look all fab and glowy as we hit 12 weeks

Can't wait to get my scan date but I've got a while to go yet:
6+0 today.

moominleigh94 · 14/09/2013 14:08

Should I call and ask when I'm likely to hear from a midwife? I'm around 7+4 today.

Beeblebear · 14/09/2013 15:34

Lurkey lurk lurk. Gp appt on Monday to confirm. Cb digit said 1-2 Weeks when I tested Tuesday and the internet cheapies keep getting darker (yes I have already POAS about 6 times lol) edd around May 19-22 depending if I go by lmp or OV dates. Trying to have a read through... I feel that I recognize a few of you, impatientlywaiting, and yikesherewego from other threads! Hello all!!

impatientlywaiting · 14/09/2013 16:40

Congrats on the BFP Beeble. SOOOO Exciting.

CoffeeGuzzler · 14/09/2013 18:02

I haven't much symptoms yet except I seem to have lost my appetite.
Are you guys counting the weeks from last AF or day of ovulation?

LongTailedTit · 14/09/2013 18:10

Ello and welcome Beeble!

Ladies - I have had a revelation - H&M maternity jeans rock.
None of my old trousers fit ie the only ones that do have worn through into holes and the rest are summer cropped things or frankly impossible to fit around my massively bloated belly the new ones arrived today and they're great. Skinny fit indigo jeans with an over bump, £29.99.
Sorted, comfortable jeans at last. :)

LongTailedTit · 14/09/2013 18:23

PS size up if you try them - I'm a small 14, the 16 fits brilliantly.

impatientlywaiting · 14/09/2013 18:39

Coffee I think the official amount of weeks is taken from the first day of your last period. Which I'm happy as you get 2 free weeks when you weren't even preggo.

Supercalafraga · 14/09/2013 18:45

hear you on the bloat long! turns out I have tonsillitis which is why I have been feeling extra shoddy Sad another night on the couch for me! Poor dh!

rebeccasbrain · 14/09/2013 19:23

I'm totally new here and 4 weeks and 5 days. Pregnant. It's so early, I kind of don't believe it. But the tests say so! When will I start to notice anything but the exhaustion?

CoffeeGuzzler · 14/09/2013 19:25

That's a weird way of counting isn't it impatient? In that case I am 4 weeks pregnant, which sounds more substantial than 2 weeks. Grin

CoffeeGuzzler · 14/09/2013 19:38

rebecca...I know what you mean. i'm 4 weeks and can't fully believe it either!

ThePFJ · 14/09/2013 19:43

Impatiently is right... your pregnancy weeks are taken from the the first day of you last period :)

5 weeks 5 days here... and my nausea is clearing up.... temporarily at least!!
Chinese birth predictor says this is a girl.. but the bounty predictor says its a boy..... the things I do when I have too much time on my hands.... :P

Love to you all.... hugs xxxxxx

ThePFJ · 14/09/2013 19:45

And good luck Beeblebear!! xxxxx

Chip86 · 14/09/2013 20:26
