Ok, I can't see a May thread in here so I guess I will start one! According to the NHS due date calculator my EDD is actually 30th April but I think that makes me more likely to be having a May baby anyway!

Am feeling very tentative about starting this thread as I had a mc in June and it's very early days for this one but...anyone want to come and chat through these nerve-wracking first few days?

Hi everyone and welcome new May-bies!

Lovely news Thistle yay! Also really pleased your parents are coming round moomin. I don't think many people would notice if you weren't drinking as long as they are!

I had a lovely day off work with my DCs, really lovely, however now so tired!!! Smile

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 13/09/2013 18:23

Had to search for this thread as I hadn't posted for so long! Just been feeling so, so ill with constant nausea and absolute terror of the vomiting starting. Sorry to sound so negative but feeling really ground down by it and I know from my previous pregnancy it is likely to get worse. Am trying vit b6 supplements but not really sure how much to take.

Got a scan date for 14 Oct - a long way off still!

7+2

Hey jelly that's near my scan date. Anyone else 18 oct?

They're only booking me with midwife at 12wks the legal max is the policy here. Bit poor?

7+1Grin

JessicaRRRabbit · 13/09/2013 20:05

Very exciting to see scan dates starting to pop up - it's starting to feel really real now Smile

Thanks for all the meal suggestions everyone - will be going shopping for lots of plain, crunchy food tomorrow lol.

mrsmummytobe · 13/09/2013 20:13

Ahh I'm jealous of those of you who have 12 week scan dates!!! Our dr surgery is so crap I have had to wait weeks to even get an appt to see my gp! We are finally going on Mon so I'm hoping they refer me to a midwife quickly!

SarahJinx · 13/09/2013 21:17

Hi all, this is such a fast moving thread! I've spent the past six days post bfp in a nauseous fug. It's like doing the test sets off some sort of switch. With DS1 I had it constantly for 17 bloody weeks and this time it's constant again, just worse for knowing how long it might be before I start feeling better. Nothing helps, except eating stodge, this time I don't seem to have any appetite which isn't helping.

I work four days so today mostly lay on the sofa while DS placed cars about my person.

So so pleased about that good strong heart beat Thistle, amazing news for you. Really sorry for those of us not getting good news, it's such a fragile time.

I saw my GP today, was booked in pre BFP but mentioned it. He booked me in with the midwife there and then for booking in, and said I'll have a nine week 'booking scan' what's that? Any ideas? Why on earth didn't I ask him? Idiot. Nine weeks is too early for Nuchal too isn't it?

Off to bed, thank god, happy sleeping Maybies.

SarahJinx · 13/09/2013 21:18

Sorry 5 + 6

moominleigh94 · 13/09/2013 21:44

So pleased for you thistle

All stuff moved in, car journey there and back (hour and a half each way) was torturous. So much nausea :( backache and headaches and no midwife letter so no sign of an appointment yet.

On the bright side, watching Knocked Up - always loved this film but me and OH keep exchanging sly grins Grin

thistlelicker · 13/09/2013 21:54

Thanks For all us may-bies :-)

YikesHereWeGo · 13/09/2013 22:21

Fantastic news thistle!!!!!!

thistlelicker · 14/09/2013 03:22

These boobs of mine are rock hard!!!! Can't get comfy!!!

thistlelicker · 14/09/2013 03:43

Oh and I feel really sick???? Is this the signs beginning to kick in now ??

Halfbaked · 14/09/2013 06:31

Morning all, welcome to the new BFP'S. So happy for you thistle

I've been awake since 5.30am, which is better than yesterday when I woke at 4.30am!!
Despite being exhausted all the time I can't seem to get back to sleep, anyone else having insomnia?

I had to get crackers to, they seem to help with feeling sick. My smell has become my new super power, although it normally sets off a wave of nausea, especially anyone's deodorant/perfume - heave!
Booking appt on Weds, it makes it all feel a bit more real.

6+6

clareyfarey · 14/09/2013 07:09

Morning all! Got my BFP on Thursday, from my dates I am 6+1!

Going to Drs on Monday to get referred to midwife.

Still in massive state if shock, feel like crap, nausea, rock hard boobs, shattered ..... Yay!!! SmileSmile

Congratulations to all of you, looking forward to sharing all our experiences on here.

thistlelicker · 14/09/2013 07:40

Congrats Clare! I'm also 6+1 ;-)

mrsmummytobe · 14/09/2013 08:09

Welcome & congrats clarey :)

Halfbaked, I am exactly the same. I've woken up really early every morning & can never get back to sleep.

I find that I am worrying & stressing out over every little thing to do with pregnancy & if I could have harmed the baby in some way, if it will be born normal, etc. I watched The Guilty the other night & a little boy on there had autism, which some people think can start in the womb but you wouldn't necessarily know about it until the child was a bit older, so now I'm worrying that this baby might have autism!!! Aghhh I really need to stop stressing but I can't! Can't go through another 7 months of this though :(

Chip86 · 14/09/2013 08:31

Welcome clare and congratulations

Yes pins and needles woke me makes a change from needing the loo but had to go there too not going to go back to sleep now

Boobs are mahoosive but so pain full
But im happy i have symptoms i know some thing going on is a good sign

Have a greet weekend May-bies Thanks

Chip86 · 14/09/2013 08:33

5+3 Smile

moominleigh94 · 14/09/2013 08:37

I officially 'feel' pregnant now... will probably feel it more once I've actually been to see someone in the medical profession but hey ;) ... I'm peeing like there's no tomorrow, yesterday's nausea was horrible, I'm off my food, sense of smell is incredible but every smell makes me heave.... these had better be good signs or I'll be really annoyed if they're there for nothing! :P
