Ok, I can't see a May thread in here so I guess I will start one! According to the NHS due date calculator my EDD is actually 30th April but I think that makes me more likely to be having a May baby anyway!

Am feeling very tentative about starting this thread as I had a mc in June and it's very early days for this one but...anyone want to come and chat through these nerve-wracking first few days?

Evening all! Welcome & congrats to the newbies & sorry to hear about the troubles. It's such a lottery isn't it!

Lollywig we booked our early scan here:
www.ultrasound-direct.com/mobile/ScanDetails.aspx?scanId=1&catId=4

Hope the link works ok! They also offer 4d scans so, fx everything goes ok with the pg, we will hopefully have one of those later on. You're so right about time going slowly! I only found out I was pg about a week & a half ago but feels like I've been pg for months now!! Can't wait til I've had the 12 week scan & can announce it properly :)

Lollywig · 12/09/2013 20:23

Thanks Mrs and Thistle, will check out that link. Thistle hope you are doing ok tonight.

Moomin... It's going to be tricky re the booze. Perhaps you could tell people you've been I'll over the summer so been having tests and been told to lay off alcohol until drs know what's up. Keep it vague and hope people will be sensitive and not too nosey. And if you have a close friend you can trust perhaps tell them for moral support. (And what you say does not sound awful! I would guess most of us have been there... And enjoyed every minute - except the hangovers...)

Very excited for Yikes and sad to hear about your previous losses, and those of others too. It's a heart-breaking business this. Frankly I'm terrified!

Take care ladies xx

Hi all, lots to catch up on!

That spreadsheet is scarily detailed but so easy to fiddle about with! Thanks for the effort you have put in.

Jessica this is my second and I am definitely noticing a protruding belly, which concerns me! How will I keep it under wraps? Last time I wasn't showing until around 20 weeks and didn't have a proper bump until the third trimester. I am going to struggle to stay in my normal clothes until the end of the first this time I think.

Sickness has really kicked in here over the last couple of days, which again is sooner than last time :-( Am hoping I can keep it concealed again until we are ready to go public. It's still just us for now but we're thinking of letting our parents know after our scan next week.

moominleigh94 · 12/09/2013 20:40

Thanks lollywig. Best friend knows (I'm living with her and her boyfriend as well as OH this year), she's so supportive and lovely and has asked if I'll make sure she gets home after nights out and not be too mean the morning after ;)

I think as soon as I turn down drinks people will guess... everyone knows OH and I have been together three years and he's The One and everything... there are so many judgey people at my uni but I've got one hell of a support team now that my mum's on board Grin

ThunderbumsMum · 12/09/2013 21:13

moomin can you say you don't want to drink after what happened last year? Or you want to concentrate on your course and don't want to spend this year drunk or hungover? Start acting a bit uptight and prissy??

moominleigh94 · 12/09/2013 21:25

Thing is, not a lot of bad stuff happened when drunk last year... just a few videos of me falling over, running around, falling over, screaming out of windows, drunk karaoke and more falling over... and people will know that's just not me Grin think I'll go for the "doctor's orders" one, thanks guys :)

thistlelicker · 12/09/2013 22:00

Bleeding seems to stop in the day but its very present in the morning!! Consultant tomorrow :-(

Lollywig · 12/09/2013 22:01

All I can think is... Thank god camera phones hadn't been invented when I was a fresher!

Lollywig · 12/09/2013 22:02

Hugs thistle and hope things go ok tomorrow xx

ThunderbumsMum · 12/09/2013 22:19

Congrats Broody.

Chip86 · 13/09/2013 08:36

Hi Broody congratulations Smile

Lollywig · 13/09/2013 09:01

Congrats Broody and morning everyone.

I don't know what is wrong with me. Keep crying uncontrollably this morning with no idea why. DH is away for a few days so thank god dog is being sympathetic! Is this normal?! I feel like a lunatic, I'm normally pretty together.

Anyone else had this? I'm working at home today and need to focus!

moominleigh94 · 13/09/2013 09:15

Lolly I don't know if it's normal but I've had it too so we're both abnormal if so Grin

Adverts set me off, ones that wouldn't even set me off normally! Although the one that really gets me is the one about the Barclays premier league, the one with all the fans that go to the games and then their team loses and they're all upset including the old man :'( that one turned me into a wreck the other day!

loopylou52 · 13/09/2013 09:16

Hello ladies, please can I join you? I'm currently 5+5 and this will (hopefully!) be DC1. Due on 11th May. Symptoms so far are relatively mild nausea and occasional crampy pains. I'm so terrified of the sickness getting worse though as I'm such a wimp when it comes to being sick!

Sorry to hear of those who've had troubles - it's such a scary time!

moominleigh94 · 13/09/2013 09:29

Welcome and congrats loopylou

Chip86 · 13/09/2013 09:51

Hi loopylou congratulations

AliOh · 13/09/2013 10:40

Hello and welcome to Broody and loopylou and congrats to you both.

Sickness kicked in good and proper for me last night :( feeling ok this morning, guess I'd rather have night sickness if anything!
