Ok, I can't see a May thread in here so I guess I will start one! According to the NHS due date calculator my EDD is actually 30th April but I think that makes me more likely to be having a May baby anyway!

Am feeling very tentative about starting this thread as I had a mc in June and it's very early days for this one but...anyone want to come and chat through these nerve-wracking first few days?

OP posts:

moominleigh94 · 11/09/2013 19:35

I share an EDD with two other Maybies Grin although I'm hoping to go under/over... future SIL wouldn't forgive me Grin

CoventGarden75 · 11/09/2013 19:53

Impatiently you're a star

AliOh · 11/09/2013 19:57

Wow Impatiently !! Very impressive! Just added my age from my phone so very easy to use :)

LongTailedTit · 11/09/2013 20:01

Cor! Good work impatiently! :)

Spreadsheets still baffle me, so always very impressed at others techy skills.

mrsmummytobe · 11/09/2013 20:24

Impatiently you are amazing!! :) What a brilliant spreadsheet & how exciting to be able to track all our pregnancies :)

impatientlywaiting · 11/09/2013 20:31

Glad you like it. The credit definitely does to the person on the January or March thread who inspired 's idea I stole for the spreadsheet.

MacCrackles · 11/09/2013 20:43

Thinking of you Viking, Thistle and Bug.

Nice work impatiently, thank you!

Welcome MrsRadders.

Chip86 · 11/09/2013 20:45

The spreadsheet is amazing thank you impatiently im even more excited now Smile

Allypallyjelly · 11/09/2013 21:17

Wow great job impatiently!!
I think symptoms slowly drifting back in with me feeling like I'm having a bit of a hangover and headache. Still spotting a bit but just gonna live to the fullest until the train of Morning sickness n first trimester hit me hard !!

moominleigh94 · 11/09/2013 21:36

Sickness and headache are back for me. Think baby's nocturnal, I have morning sickness in the evening Hmm

Cupcake11 · 11/09/2013 22:19

That's brilliant impatiently Grin

McRedHead · 11/09/2013 22:37

Thanks, impatiently, a great idea (borrowed or otherwise!!)

I'm expecting DC3 so haven't found much time to spend enjoying the idea of pregnancy or the reality of another new baby yet. In my first post I said I'd just started having symptoms. One of these was a horrible rash. It is still here and all over my torso. I was seen at our of hours and the doc said he didn't think it was the type of rash that could be harmful to baby. It is now spreading down towards my legs. .. How long would you leave it before getting in touch with your own GP for a 2nd opinion? Don't want to be that over-anxious pregnant woman!

6 ish weeks

RosesInTheRain · 11/09/2013 22:43

I've had evening sickness in every pregnancy that's gone beyond 6 weeks moomin. Tiredness (for me anyway). At the moment my cure is sipping cold lemonade... not doing much for my teeth though Hmm

well done impatiently too

RosesInTheRain · 11/09/2013 22:45

McRed if it's still spreading I'd go back, pregnant or not!

Allypallyjelly · 12/09/2013 07:06

mcred - same for me rashes on my waist and also my legs but I just thought that's normal. I've read it's because of additional blood flow causing the itchiness which usually I will apply some hydrocortisone but since bfp not touched the cream. Do let us know if you end up seeking second opinion and see what the gp says. Hope you feel better soon x

snoozysleeper · 12/09/2013 07:15

Morning everyone

I hope you don't mind if I join?

Had a positive pregnancy test this morning and am very excited but nervous too

This will be #1 for us and due date 26th May 2014

Can't believe I'm on the antenatal boards Shock

impatientlywaiting · 12/09/2013 08:21

Congrats on your BFP snoozysleeper it's so exciting its it?

I've added your details to our stats page.

Saw people have started to add scan dates on there. I'm still undecided whether to have a private reassurance scan? I really really want one, but not sure if it's a good use of our money. I flit between thinking yes definitely and and thinking no I'll wait for the 12 week scan.

But as yet we still haven't told people and its getting difficult now as its unheard of me to not drink for 1 night, never mind 3 weeks. As I MCd last time I want a scan before I tell people (just my closest friends and family, not announcing to everyone at that point) so I can know everything is ok.

I think I'll book one for 8 weeks. Going to check the website now.

6+5

JessicaRRRabbit · 12/09/2013 08:33

Hi everyone, please may I join? I'm 5+5 with DC2 - EDD 10th of May (if my dates are correct!) My body's behaving exactly as it did with DS - I am falling asleep at the drop of a hat: very Blush as last time I dropped off at every pregnancy yoga session I attended in the first trimester. Boobs are more sore this time around and am already struggling to fasten my trousers Really don't want to unearth/buy maternity clothes yet but might not have the option for much longer...
The thing is, I didn't show until 25 weeks with DS! Is this normal for subsequent pregnancies?

So sorry to read Viking's news - wishing you all the best.

AliOh · 12/09/2013 08:50

Welcome snoozy and Jessica and congrats!

I am thinking the same impatiently, don't know if I'm just being too impatient and overly cautious!! I'm not very reassured at having to wait so long to see the midwife, and having next to no info from GP etc it's driving me insane, it would be more reassuring knowing you have that support from the very start whatever happens!

moominleigh94 · 12/09/2013 08:53

I've got a scar on my tummy from an operation as a baby and the skin in the dip where the drain went in always gets irritated, I've got steroid cream for it but it's flared up and I was worried about whether to use steroid cream or not... is it safe? I managed to lose the instruction leaflet at uni Grin

snoozysleeper · 12/09/2013 08:54

Thank you impatiently and for adding my stats too, that's very kind of you Flowers I can't believe how I excited I am!

I think a private reassurance scan sounds like a good idea all things considered

And congratulations Jessica ! Afraid I don't know I it's normal but I'm sure someone will come along who can answer that

JessicaRRRabbit · 12/09/2013 09:36

Thanks snoozy and congratulations to you too Thanks

I can see how an early scan would be reassuring impatiently and AliOh - it does seem strange that women have the least support at the most delicate stage, esp women who've mcd previously or had problems ttc, for example. The first 12 weeks is a time of worry even without experiencing those troubles Sad

Hi moomin I was given my usual course of steroid treatment for an MS relapse when I was expecting DS so I think topical steroids would be okay but I would double check with GP to make sure.

Hendricks · 12/09/2013 10:36

Fantastic spreadseet impatiently - thanks for setting it up Flowers

Congratulations on your BFPs MrsRadders, snoozy and Jessica (with apologies to anyone I've inadvertently missed)

I've rung up for my first midwife appointment - Tuesday afternoon. Was surprised I managed to get an appointment that soon. Still, at least it should get me in the system and hopefully mean I'll get an appointment through for my first scan a couple of week later.

Really, really can't be arsed to eat at the moment - I just don't feel like it. Which doesn't help with chasing after two children or work. Had to fill the car with petrol yesterday too - really didn't help with the sicky feeling. Was at run club last night and we were doing sprints, which again really didn't help - at least there were quite a few people feeling vomitty afterwards, not just me!

Hope everyone's doing okay today - current saviour appears to be apple crunch tea - possibly a bit healthier than the Haribo Goldbears I mainlined when pregnant with #2!
