Ok, I can't see a May thread in here so I guess I will start one! According to the NHS due date calculator my EDD is actually 30th April but I think that makes me more likely to be having a May baby anyway!

Am feeling very tentative about starting this thread as I had a mc in June and it's very early days for this one but...anyone want to come and chat through these nerve-wracking first few days?

OP posts:

This bloating needs to go away or there'll be no keeping it a secret; had to undo my trousers and I look like I've already got a bump Blush

Having a little bit of pain - nothing major, just kind of very slight cramping and kind of weird discomfort feelings. No blood at all. Is this ok/normal?

LongTailedTit · 05/09/2013 15:21

Moomin - exactly the same here, massively bloated and weird sharp twinges. They were quite bad a few days ago, but all seems ok and they're intermittent now.

To be fair my stomach has never looked the same since DS, so I've looked a bit pregnant ever since anyway, but wow I look like I did at 5 months now! Plus the norks are vast already. I was a 32C before DS, 32E/FF now.

I had a small bump last time and only made it to 36wks anyway - rather looking forward to a big bump this time! :)

AliOh · 05/09/2013 15:30

I'm the same just really really bloated and not quite cramps but can definitely tell there something going on down there!

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 15:47

I need to get a bigger bra fairly soon... didn't expect them to change so quickly. Had to wear a seatbelt differently today because they were so tender on my boobs D:

ThePFJ · 05/09/2013 15:48

AliOh I love the pinging and weird feelings down there... so reassuring.... makes me grin with excitement!!! Grin

mrsmummytobe · 05/09/2013 15:55

I'm really bloated too and I have definitely been getting tummy twinges. My boobs are still really painful & already feel like they've gone up a cup size - going to have to get some new bras soon I think!

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 16:03

I'm so glad others are getting twinges - not glad you guys are uncomfortable, just glad I'm not alone :) these aren't too painful (I'm really clogged up iyswim, so it's hard to tell what's what!) but annoying.

ThunderbumsMum · 05/09/2013 16:09

I have no symptoms at all except insomnia, which I get sometimes anyway. I suppose it's good not to be sick but after a couple of mc already a bit more reassurance would also be nice. I've put no weight on either and have no appetite, it's all a bit strange.

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 16:13

How far along are you Thunder ? My appetite disappeared until the start of last week, when suddenly I wanted to eat everything... and now I just want bread and butter and potato smileys (and lollipops to stop the nausea).

At first I thought I was ill, now I'm wondering if the lack of appetite was a symptom in itself? x

Allypallyjelly · 05/09/2013 16:56

thunder same here re insomnia and I've lost weight but feel v bloated! Not overly nauseous but some mornings are worse than others

ThunderbumsMum · 05/09/2013 17:09

I am 5+1 today. My last pregnancy was a boy and I was so sick from about 4 weeks. The one before that was a boy too and I was also sick. The one before that ended too early to know the sex but I had no symptoms and the one before that was a girl and my only symptom was very sore boobs. So I am hoping all is fine and it's a girl Grin

ThunderbumsMum · 05/09/2013 17:10

Chinese birth predictor also said it's a girl

Choppa · 05/09/2013 17:19

Hi everyone

Wanted to say 'hello'

Got my BFP yesterday at 12dpo and due around 17th May. So excited for a summer baby as all of my family have winter birthdays :)

I have a 4 year old son already and had no pg symptoms all with him except for a bit of spotting in the first 2 weeks after BFP. But with this one I feel ROUGH!! Two stomachs...one is sicky and the other is ravenous!! I already look about 4 months pg... so bloated! I'm sure that constant eating doesn't help either.

I had a mc with my first pregnancy (before my son) but am feeling confident as I can with this one.

Good luck all and I look forward to chatting over the coming months :)

Xx

ThePFJ · 05/09/2013 17:19

Ooooo birth predictor.... lets see.....(googles chinese birth predictor) oooooooo apparently I am having a girl too!! We'll have to remember this when we are due and put it to the test!!!

ThePFJ · 05/09/2013 17:21

Welcome Choppa and congratulations!!!

Allypallyjelly · 05/09/2013 17:39

choppa congrats!

LongTailedTit · 05/09/2013 18:15

Welcome Choppa!

Chinese predictor nonsense thingy says I'm having a girl, which would be lovely! Grin
We will def be finding out, I don't take well to surprises.

ThunderbumsMum · 05/09/2013 18:17

Oh, I'm the same - how could you not want to know as early as possible??

impatientlywaiting · 05/09/2013 18:38

Will definitely be finding out whether I'm having a girl or boy too.
Chinese predictor says boy for me.

AliOh · 05/09/2013 18:52

Welcome choppa and congrats! According to Chinese birth predictor I'm also having a girl. We have decided to ask if we can have the sex written down and seal it in an envelope then open it on my partners birthday (end of march) because he wants to find out and I don't so this is my compromise lol!

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 19:04

Chinese predictor says girl for me... bit confused as to the lunar age thing :P although I'd love a girl. Got a bet on with OH, 50p and the first nappy change says it's a girl Grin

ThePFJ · 05/09/2013 19:39

Arghh.... anyone want to share this sudden nausea and throbbing headache with me???! ..... I may need to curl up and hide myself in a dark room for a while.....

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 19:58

Yet another change of plan... telling his parents tomorrow Shock think they'll take it well Smile

I'm doing a three mile run on Saturday for SANDS... well, it'll now be a three mile walk/crawl Wink

ThePFJ · 05/09/2013 20:08

Yay!! Not long to wait now then moomin!! xxxxxx hugs xxxxxx

moominleigh94 · 05/09/2013 20:18

I know Grin I'm quite excited really, his parents are ready to be grandparents - they were expecting it from his sister first as she's 30 and married, but I think they'll be chuffed when they realise that we know what we're doing... ish Wink
