shropshire just to warn you I'm lining sir wilfred up as my future son in law. I hope you don't object. I promise I'll provide him with a life partner who likes adventures, taming dragons and doesn't mind living in a castle. There just aren't enough gallant knights around these days.

vix if I manage to persuade DH on George we could have a nice little pair in February! Ours would be George Alexander which is VERY royal.

champagne congrats on the NT result - still waiting for mine having had the measurements and bloods on Friday.

shropshire love Wilf! According to wiki about the BBC drama Merlin, there are some suitable girls names such as:

Alice is a sorceress who lived in Camelot before the Great Purge, possessing a great natural power with a specialty for healing spells.

Freya was a Druid girl who lived in a village near mountains and a lake. After killing the son of a sorceress out of self-defense, Freya was cursed to become a magical monster that resembled a large panther with bat-like wings on the stroke of midnight, with an insatiable desire to kill that she would be unable to control.

Grunhilda was a pixie who served as the nanny to Princess Elena, a changeling child who had been 'implanted' with a Sidhe when she was an infant

Hunith is the mother of Merlin. She sends him to Camelot hoping that he will be able to develop his magical talents, but he soon discovers that the use of sorcery there is expressly forbidden and punishable with death.

Isolde was a smuggler along with partner Tristan. She discovers Merlin and Arthur (who is under one of Merlin's spells) and holds a sword up to them

Mithian is the Princess of Nemeth, a neighboring kingdom of Camelot.

Morgause was a skilled warrior, sorceress, and the half-sister of Morgana Pendragon.

Nimueh was an antagonistic, yet beautiful witch.

Ygraine Pendragon was the wife of Uther Pendragon and mother of Arthur

laura wish I had your enthusiasm - poor DH hasn't gotten any since conception in June!

Right really must get back to work!

LovesToBake · 14/08/2013 14:32

Jazzcat and Vix my DS is a George and I think it's a fab name! I also had Wilfred high on the list, love your name Shropshire, you should definitely go for it! I also find myself liking strong, traditional boys names but am more open minded about pretty, slightly more wafty names for girls!

Am working from home today and feeling pretty queasy. Just went to bed at lunchtime for a little sleep and while I think I needed it, I've woken up feeling like a zombie, can't see much work getting done for the next hour or so, oops!

Great news on the nuchal results champagne. Expecting mine in the post in the next few days, but assuming no news is good news as they said they would call if it was high risk.

pettyprudence · 14/08/2013 14:35

Shropshire Wilf is on my maybe list too! Obviously I love Arthur as I have one Grin

gnittinggnome · 14/08/2013 14:44

Yay champagne good news, and good luck at the hairdressers...plenty of sinks at least? (sorry)

shropshire I like Wilfred - my cousin dated a Wilf when I was little, and he was v good looking - tall and strong and with a fantastic smile. He was also the first black man I ever met and in my youthful ignorance (I was very little at the time) I asked him if he hoovered his close-cropped hair, or washed it. To my gratitude, he found that amusing - I think my cousin was mortified! So go forth for Wilfred. Also becoming a knight sounds good Smile

Also sharp stabby pains quite likely to be constipation or wind. I was in agony every time I stood up at the weekend, and have just acquired some Fybogel, which was the only thing the pharmacist would recommend and we can also get it on prescription, so bear that in mind if you've got your prescription exemption card thingy.

Shropshiremummy2b · 14/08/2013 14:46

Great news champagne! Woop!

Just wanted to establish, before you get the wrong idea, that I am not one of those people that reinacts medieval banquets at the weekend, my our wedding did not feature lute players and spit roasts (stop getting the wrong idea laura) and I don't think I resemble a boardy wench. But jazzcat your Merlinesque efforts are appreciated.

Sunflowered, duly noted.

So, in summary, if I don't have a Wilfred were all going to be disappointed.

laura0007 · 14/08/2013 15:13

You don't do a very good prude impression!!Shock It's only 3pm and talk of spit roasts already Wink

pettyprudence · 14/08/2013 15:21

No pressure Shropshire Wink

Somanychanges · 14/08/2013 16:11

Hi all,

It was all good news. Baby fine nuchal test results good. Baby has very long legs just like my other children. She put my dates forward said I was 13 weeks and due 19 Feb.

Extremely disappointed shropshire. Unless he is a she in which case she could just have adventures in a slightly curvier suit of army, possibly on a slightly smaller horse.

Congratulations on the positive scans/tests. Getting excited (again) for my rescan next week now Smile

littlestgirlguide · 14/08/2013 17:04

Amazing names Shropshire. My ideas sound boring now!

misskatamari · 14/08/2013 17:38

Oh no - met up with a friend with a baby today and was talking prams and was saying I was tempted to get one which converts to a double as we ideally want kids together and she was saying how good the bugaboo donkey is and now I WANT IT! Hmm Not a chance in hell I am spending that amount of money on a pram tho!

Booooo prams stress me out!

Loving all the names! Some of the Merlin girls ones are definitely interesting Smile

lyndsey90 · 14/08/2013 17:38

You all got me thinking of baby names and I've officially hit a brick wall. Can see my baby getting named after birth. My OH is a pest and says STUPID names whenever we have a chat about it. He sucks lol. We were trying for this baby for 11 months, I'm now 13 weeks pregnant and we STILL have no clue!!!

Milkandtwo · 14/08/2013 17:48

Misskat have you looked for second hand? We found the one we wanted early on (but that couldn't afford) so we'd have 6 months to wait for a second hand bargain to come up! Would have been £820 new (for full package) but we got for £450, 8 months old, great condition and I've washed all the soft bits just to be sure. Still a LOT of money, mind.

CubanoHabana · 14/08/2013 17:49

Aw what a giggle you have all given me!

Although not sure on the Percy test... Could imagine a moonlight night, walking hand in hand and looking up into percival's deep blue eyes, and saying 'oh purrrrcy' before melting into his arms!

Milkandtwo · 14/08/2013 17:49

and if you find one on ebay that's collection only (but too far away) then use shiply - I've used it for sofas and things... opens up the options a bit!

LittlePandaBear · 14/08/2013 17:52

Shropshire, if it's a girl, it could be Wilfreda? Wilfrida?

Not sure if they are actual names Smile

LittlePandaBear · 14/08/2013 17:55

Oh, and can someone please remind me to book my 16 week midwife appointment? I only seem to remember when the docs are shut!

20 week scan was booked at 12 week scan, so I have that on 27th Sep. Forever away...

misskatamari · 14/08/2013 18:15

That's what I'm thinking milkandtwo. Think well decide on budget - find a brand new pram that fits and look at super prices and if there's one we like stalk eBay. Hopefully get lucky and if not get the alternative one. Did find a gorgeous bright pink double donkey on eBay but its I'm Surrey!

Need to go and look in person at a shop with DH and get more of an idea really - online just gets me excited but its hard to know the practicalities!

Lol cubano - I see the scenario! I really like Percival as a name! Thinking Parzival for one of our middles -its the name of the character in ready player one my absolute favourite book and I love it. Maybe Artemis as a middle for a girl as that's the main girl in it and I love it too. God I'm gonna lumber my poor offspring with some right corners aren't I!

pettyprudence · 14/08/2013 18:27

Ohh the Bugaboo Donkey is lovely - i had a play with it in John Lewis even though I have no need for it (unless I can muster the energy for dc3!).

Got my 20w scan appointment through today and its exactly for the date I thought it would be - ie the only date I can't do as my dsis is getting married! Woohoo! DH asked if we could do 5th Nov instead of 4 Oct as that would be better for him.... erm no!

Thingymajigs · 14/08/2013 18:28

Great news somany. Smile

I think I may have felt the baby move today. I was lying on the beach and felt a tickling low down. I can't remember what those early movements felt like with my other two but I think its definitely a possibility. I did eat far too many pick n mix sweets before we got there which would have made baby a little hyper.
Love the name talk. I've become fascinated listening to all the children's names on this holiday. Some very traditional like Emma and George to Nevaeh and a little boy called Sidney.
We like Genevieve, Penelope, Matilda and Caspar, Jasper, Benedict for a boy. Bit worried that Genevieve is too pretentious for our very working class roots but we love it.

pettyprudence · 14/08/2013 18:32

Just asked ds what he would call a baby... Shaun the sheep. Perhaps shouldn't have asked him while watching...
