Good morning everyone. I hope everyone has a great day.

Nixnoo - I am with you anticipating baby engaging and relief from heartburn. I am going to take myself off for a walk this morning to try and encourage it.

HumphreysCorner · 15/06/2006 09:36

Morning ladies

OldieMum-hugs to you-I can't begin to imagine what it is like to have so many failed IVF treatments. ((xx))

Still have a sore throat from hell and am a bit chesty which means wetting myself everytime I cough-feel really rough to be honest. Hope it goes in the next week or so or I will have no energy to push.

Hope you all have a good day-off to take 2 paracetamol and sit in a cool ????? room.

Bye for now

hi girls. Not long now. I was in hospital again feeling really unwell. It was due to low iron and high blood pressure.
Baby doing really well though. Started taking raspberry leaf tea aswell as the tablets and also primrose oil. Hopefully not to long now.
Still trying to get house and garden sorted. Having a big party in 5 and a half weeks for ds2's
1st birthday.
Hoping everyone is well and your babys are doing well.

Hi Everyone

Welcome Snook

Oldiemum - Sending you lots of hugs

Twirl - Glad you got everything sorted, hopefully now you can relax a bit (smile)

HC & Jane - Have also lost appetite, just don't want to eat anything at moment either

Jersey - How's the essay going? Managed to get some of mine done yesterday but it's going slowly. When does your's need to be in? Mine's next Friday (DS's birthday).

Had a bad night's sleep last night. Woke every hour, so feeling totally shattered, really painful hips. Off to see mw tomorrow to discuss birth plan (wonder if it will be yet again someone different, not seen same one more than once) Take care of yourselves

37 weeks today

puddytat99 · 15/06/2006 11:03

Forgot to say had a scare about DH yesterday. Some idiot left a suitcase outside where he worked yesterday, so bomb squad was called to blow it up. Good job bp is low, don't need stress like that.

Anopheles · 15/06/2006 11:57

HI Everyone,

Wow it really is getting close now, HC 15 days for you, and all of you having CS's at the end of this month!! Four whole weeks for me, though I feel ready to burst now. Looking at the June thread, they're popping all over the shop!!

Was wondering what I would do if I went into labour at work!?? Would I get the tube home or go to a hospital near work!! Imagine if your waters went on the tube! Aaaah!! Doesn't bear thinking about.

Must start thinking about packing a bag I suppose. Had another 'discussion' this morning about what to do with DS when I'm in labour, DH of course could only come up with worst case scenarios, whereas I'm just going to wait and see what happens. I've got him to ask his friend (who DS loves, but has never been on his own with, or at night) at least, if he wouldn't mind being on standby. DH still thinks his parents should come down (from way up North), to 'help out', but I just don't want them there, while I'm struggling to cope with sore bits, boobs and a new baby. Anyway that's another story...

Lilianna, Oldiemum, HC, kbaby, koshka, hope you are all feeling better, not long now...
Good news about your CS, Twirl, and welcome Snook Smile

Take it nice and easy now everyone, mind them bumps.

Annie 36 weeks today YIKES!

IamBlossom · 15/06/2006 12:07

Morning.

Hi Snook, welcome!

Oldie Mum, your post brought a lump to my throat, so hearfelt, and can only imagine what enduring 8 failed IVF attempts must have been like, I remember saying it when we first "met" on this thread but how miraculous to have concieved naturally, all will be fine, I feel sure. Spoke to my friend yesterday who has just had her second failed go at IVF, she remains upbeat but it must be hard, I shall cite you as a positive example.

Just taken DS to a new toddler group which was marve - lots to do and really nice women there, we made a Father's Day card which was a bit of a coup as have not done anything about that so far!

DS has started saying "I wove voo mama" (I love you mummy). Makes me melt, he is SO affectionate at the moment, I hope it lasts.

No signs of anything this end, and tiredness seems to have receded today.

HC there you go then - the solution to not being able to wee is to sneeze at the appropriate time! Wink

Hope you all start to feel better those that are poorly, rest up as much as poss.

Bloss

agalch · 15/06/2006 13:41

Afternoon ladies

had my reflexology this morning and baby was jumping around like mad atcertain points during the treatment. Was sooo relaxing and felt really pampered after it.Have booked another session for next week too.

Saw mw this afternoon and she was not sure whether or not baby is still breech or now cephalic.I see her in a fortnight (thurs) and she will book me into day bed unit to be scanned with a view to having the ecv if poss on the monday after.

Just feel like times running away atm as im due 23rd and still dont know if i can even have a normal vaginal delivery never mind my much desired homebirth.Sad

Anyway off to catch a bit of sunshine so take care all
xx

Snook · 15/06/2006 15:40

Hi everyone - quick catch up before I go and pick up dd from nursery.

Anopheles - I share your concern about waters breaking. I'll just be so embarrassed if I'm in the middle of Tesco or something - or sitting on my chair at work, almost want to put a towel down just in case!

Agalch - dd was breech and I was devastated at the time that I had to have cs, however I have to say it was all so easy, lovely to have a planned date and my recovery time wasn't long at all - plus I really enjoyed having the extra time in hospital to get to know my baby. Let us know how it goes but I'm sure either way you'll be fine.

kbaby · 15/06/2006 20:54

deblaca - God god. It will be interesting to see if theyre predictions are right when LO is actually born.

OldieMum- Big hugs. It must've been horrible for you. Im glad everything is ok for you now.

I spent last night at the assesment unit again also as I had got myself in a state about the pain being placenta abruption or a uterine tear and maybe the hosp were missing it.

Need to get DH to start painting DD's bedroom this weekend. Weve ordered the furniture but its not due to arrive until 2wks b4 edd and then it seems unfair to ship her into a bed so close to lo being born. I may put her cot in there for a while. I need to move her out of her bedroom so I can put the lo's clothes and stuff in the nursery.

iPodthereforiPoor · 15/06/2006 21:17

HEY jULY peeps - I'm a real-life friend of JaneOT and just popping into let you know she's in hospital being induced tonight, so hopefully by tommorrow she will be a mummy!!

She went in for her scan and the placenta had moved but due to pre-eclampsia they want to get things moving - hopefully we will hear something soon!

FIngers crossed for you honey!! xxx big kisses from me and Griffin.

pinkdolly · 16/06/2006 05:25

Looks like Jane is gonna be the first 2 start our post natal thread!! Grin

Doesn't it make it all seem so much closer now people are beginning to pop?

Sending big hugs to Jane, hope everything goes smoothly in the hospital.

I'm still only 34 and a half weeks, but hoping this one might come a little early. I am getting very impatient.

Been awake since 4 this morning, tried to get back to sleep but wasn't happening. So here I am, gonna be knackered later. And so much to do, DD1 has her birthday party tomorrow so have to go shopping for all the bits and pieces.

Have a nice day ladies! Hope the rest of you are all well and still blooming!

maewest · 16/06/2006 08:06

Good luck to Jane, looks like we may have first baby of the thread :) how exciting! Am off to 34 wk mw appt first thing. DH is coming with me which means I don't have to arrive all redfaced having walked all the way down to the health centre (and I never leave myself enough time so end up hurrying - am surprised it doesn't put my blood pressure up!) Second jab of anti-D and hopefully discussion about homebirth after last times scare about glucose tests.

Have a lovely Friday ladies and take care of those bumps.

HumphreysCorner · 16/06/2006 10:34

Morning ladies

The carpet has just been laid in the nursery-yay!

Still got my sore throat so am still downing paracetamol.

Shall we add babies born to our stats list or wait until jane starts a post natal thread?

Sunny again today but just don't feel like going out in the sun-will see how I feel later. Waiting for a blind to be delivered from Argos and a border from Mothercare.

Have a good day-will be back to check for news later.

jersey · 16/06/2006 11:24

wow good luck Jane hope you are well on the way by now, if not already had it.

Hi puddy essay I think is done. Got a friend reading it through for me today as I get word blindness, then emailing it to DH at work to print as my printer is in the loft and unreachable at the moment. Due in next week so should just make the deadline. Thats the last one, looks like I should average a 2:1 so long as these last 2 essays don't drop marks Grin.

Still achy here and just done my back log of ironing, a job I hate. Looks like another hot day today. Got to go sort the mortgage tomorrow as our fixed term is up next month, so a hot visit to town!!!!!!

So hope everyone is feeling ok. So who's going to be next then???????????

No ironing here either!

Good Luck Jane, everything crossed for you, hope it's going ok! Who's next then!!??

Had a midwife appt this morning, everything's fine, she just said to be ready at any time, but there's no way of knowing if it'll be early or late.

We're supposed to be moving at the end of the month, but still haven't exchanged, so I don't know what's happening really. Solicitors eh? Estate Agents eh? Don't they know I want to move before I pop!?

Take care, Ladies, mind your bumps!!
