Hi all, exciting to hear about some early csections/inductions - good luck to everyone! Fairy sorry to hear you're still in discomfort - at least you have a date for things to start happening for real now.

38+6 here but not expecting this one to be early as DS was 10 days overdue. I am hoping she'll make an appearance by bonfire night which will be 8 days over so hopefully not too optimistic! I've been in agony for the last couple of days after deciding to decorate DS' bedroom (seemed a good idea at the time but my back has been torture ever since!) and if that hasn't brought on early labour nothing will Grin.

MotherOfCleo · 20/10/2013 16:28

fairy I had a panic a few weeks back that bubs wasnt moving, was at work so couldn't do much but called triage who suggested I had some ice water and that sorted him out.

Cleo is actually my dog Blush she's uber clingy at the mo, so think she may be a bit upset about sharing me. Confused

I'm ready to meet bubs now, really really hope I don't go overdue kind of know I will though

MotherOfCleo · 20/10/2013 16:29

cat really hope yoir back is better soon!!!

Fairydogmother · 20/10/2013 16:50

I know Cleo is your dog! I have 2 as well lol

MotherOfCleo · 20/10/2013 17:07

phew Wink yeah she definitely knows something is going on, don't think she's prepared for all the crying though!! Wink How are yours? Are they more clingy like Cleo? I'm sure she'll be fine when we bring him hom, think she might adopt him as her pup.

I may have overdone it on the woodland dog walk! My fanjo bloody kills now, the pgp pain has kicked it up a notch I think....wowsers its sore.Walking like john wayne lol.

MotherOfCleo · 20/10/2013 17:08

How was your overnight hospital stay fairy? Ok I hope!

Wibblypiglikesbananas · 21/10/2013 04:05

Hi - update - baby boy is here!!!

He was born at 4:25 Sunday morning and weighed in at 7,7 - not bad considering he was 38+2. All scarily quick - went to bed as usual, had some stomach pain when I woke up but thought it was wind, then my waters went at 2:45! So much for the Braxton Hicks I wrote about yesterday!

Straight into hospital cos of the little guy being breech and emergency c-section - was having contractions every 3-4 minutes by this point. Honestly, it seemed like they popped him out in about 2 mins!

Just recovering now - stomach tender but have managed to breastfeed which is great.

Looking forward to hearing more good news stories!

harverina · 21/10/2013 05:19

Congratulations wibbly!! GrinGrinGrin

That is super news - glad all went ok in the end. Seems like it was all so fast!!

Hope you are well and not in too much pain Thanks

MotherOfCleo · 21/10/2013 08:15

wow huge congrats wibbly

CheeseandGherkins · 21/10/2013 08:41

Congrats wibbly, great news.

I'm 37 weeks today and hopefully in for a growth scan and try and chat to a dr or my consultant if she's around about a plan as I couldn't make clinic or my scan on Friday.

All feels very surreal. Cannot wait to meet our little girl but stressing a lot.

How is everyone this morning?

Norfolknway · 21/10/2013 09:01

Yey :) congratulations!!

Hope you are all doing well!

Hi everyone. cheese I am trying to make myself get up after an awful nights sleep or lack of
Slipped while on a wet woodland dog walk yesterday and think I pulled a groin muscle....ouch, so getting comfy is even harder than usual. Perhaps an hours woodland walking at 37+3 was a tad ill advised?
Having my hair cut today which should be nice....if I can get in an out of the hair wash chairs Blush Wink

MotherOfCleo · 21/10/2013 09:36

does anyone else go to sleep on their side only to wake up on their back? I know laying on your back isnt good but dont know how I can stop myself in my sleep?

GreenGiant3 · 21/10/2013 09:37

Congrats Wibbly!! SmileThanksThanks Xx

GreenGiant3 · 21/10/2013 09:39

Mother, have you tried surrounding yourself with pillows? This has worked for a number of expectant mums I've spoken with, or a maternity pillow?

Hope you start feeling better soon, xx

MotherOfCleo · 21/10/2013 12:30

Currently I have one cover and my fella has the whole kingsize quilt as I'm far too hot to use it. There isn't room for much else. I don't have a maternity pillow yet, just a pillow between my knees.

Fairydogmother · 21/10/2013 13:08

Thanks Pennie!

Mother I wouldn't worry about ending up on your back unless it causes you to be breathless.

artyone · 21/10/2013 13:56

Congrats Wibbly, let us know when you have a name!

Is it just me or is the FB group broken today? I can't seem to reply to anything..

Fairydogmother · 21/10/2013 14:33

Yes think fb as a whole is broken!

MummaPanda · 21/10/2013 15:41

Thanks everyone! Been up and walking this morning and they've taken the dressing off my incision. Am quickly discovering that US hospital food is just as bad as the UK, with a strange lack of veggie options unfortunately. So far they've tried to offer me chicken broth and Jello?! Thankfully DH arrived with Wholefoods stocks last night...

DD seems very excited by her little brother, which is great. Baby boy is doing well. The paediatrician claims he has a tongue tie, but you wouldn't know it judging by the amount of feeding he's been doing.

So - who's next I wonder? Can't wait to hear!
