Good luck for the scan babybump - it's so lovely to see them again (even though I was SO nervous before hand).

I've just booked a 4D scan for the 20th for my birthday - I'll be 25 weeks! Anyone had one before - i'm not really sure what to expect!

In underbump maternity jeans today, they're pretty comfy so far - though the band bit is obviously across where baby is as I can feel him wriggling around underneath it a lot more than when in baggy clothes!!

Looking forward to pulling out the floaty summer stuff this weekend! 27 degrees! :-)

Babybump26 · 04/07/2013 16:55

Scan all went went well - happy with baby's progress!

They are booking me in for a 36 week scan though as my placenta is only 2cm from the 'exit' point, as she put it! Hopefully my placenta will move as the pregnancy goes on.

getoffthecoffeetable · 04/07/2013 18:46

Excellent news babybump.
There are a few of us with low lying placentas, hopefully they'll all move as babies get bigger.

Wibblypiglikesbananas · 04/07/2013 19:07

Hi all, thanks for the FB tips. Might have to give it a go!

I had a 4D scan, but didn't know it was going to be! I'm British but in the US and the Dr was doing the regular 20 week scan and then all of a sudden, without warning, flipped to 3D pics and sound. I nearly fell off the table! Was fab to see though and got great pics, just like a mini baby really! Interesting though that it was the same kind of GE machine they use in the UK, and the same as the one they used 2 years ago when I had DD in London, but 4D scans are a pay for thing back home...

Re low lying placentas - me too. I have a 28 week extra scan to see if things have moved. Fingers crossed as its any excuse to give you a c-section here. One local hospital has a 70%!!!!! c-section rate... I'm not against c-sections per se btw, just it'll be hard to care for a toddler if I have one as have no family support here.

LuckySocks13 · 04/07/2013 19:16

Hi all. Just checking in. Had my 20 week scan today. All looks well :) girl confirmed as told at we weeks .

Babybump26 · 04/07/2013 19:20

Glad I'm not the only one in the low lying placenta club! Wink

Wibblypig - I'm with you on the c-section. Not against them at all, if they are needed then so be it but I really hope I get the chance to have a go at it naturally. Our baby is a right old wriggler, so hopefully that combined with it growing, it will pull things into place!

Babybump26 · 04/07/2013 19:21

Congrats luckysocks13 Grin

harverina · 04/07/2013 20:15

Cornish I could feeling rigging too with my. Under bump jeans on. They felt pretty comfy so I assumed it was ok. Most of my under bump jeans are extremely uncomfy now and have been put to the back of my wardrobe Hmm I am going to try and order a couple of dresses online so that I can wearing super comfy stretchy leggings with them Grin I am not the most confident when it comes to clothes - tend to stick to skinny jeans and floaty tops or slightly over size t shirts but beggars can't be choosers when it comes to maternity clothes!

I have felt a bit breathless at times today. Not consistently throughout the day but it worried me a bit. I have also noticed that I can't lie on my back anymore without beings breathless which I I know is normal. Anyone else been breathless at all? It was worse after I'd eaten.

HMT13 · 04/07/2013 21:30

I'm getting the breathlessness too. Had it yesterday at work and felt quite faint. My blood pressure is low too. The midwife seemed to think it was quite normal?!

Babybump26 · 04/07/2013 21:37

A walk up our local country park tonight nearly finished me off! Luckily I had the dogs assistance as he's quite keen to pull!!

I'm having trouble searching the lady for the FB page, any ideas? x

harverina · 04/07/2013 21:51

Ah so I'm not alone then. It's about unsettling isn't it?!

Fairydogmother · 04/07/2013 21:56

I'm def breathless too at times - especially first thing in the morning and going up the stairs to work!

Wibbly - I so want a 4d scan!

Urgh, awake since 5am with chronic heartburn. Gaviscon is going to be my friend today!
DS has woken up in a foul temper and is having a monster tantrum over goodness knows what.
It's going to be a fun day!

Animol · 05/07/2013 12:39

Was up all night coughing and spluttering - poor DH - don't suppose he got much sleep either. Feeling very breathless a lot of the time but it might just be this wretched cold.

Welcome new ladies

GwenStacy · 05/07/2013 13:49

Hello all! I've messaged Louise to be added to the FB group, I only really use FB for groups, I have no personal stuff on there at all!

I've found my local Primark is doing maternity skinnies for £11 a pair which are really comfy - those plus their basic long tees are doing me for work at the moment :)

I'm finding I'm getting loads of kicks in the evening, but nothing J can feel - apparently my placenta is lying on the front, so this might be impeding it?

We're moving house in a couple of weeks to a totally new area of London (anyone live in Harrow?!) so am nervously looking forward to that. I'm also looking forward to the commute changing - I currently get the Piccadilly line in, but I'm on the same line as Heathrow, so every morning it's stupidly crowded, and it's getting quite hard. Even with bump and badge, I'm lucky to get a seat, and low blood pressure makes me quite faint if it's warm! Luckily I have a very understanding boss who doesn't bat an eyelid when I'm late in :) Anyone else doing a London commute and finding it tricky?

Hi Gwen.
I'm nowhere near London but with last pregnancy I slightly changed my hours to avoid the rush hour. Would that be a possibility?

CuteLittleToes · 05/07/2013 22:37

Hi ladies,

Can I jump in? I haven't been on any of these threads before, simply because I have a terrible baby brain couldn't find them as I was looking in general pregnancy section... Confused

20+4 today, so due in November too...

harverina · 05/07/2013 22:40

Animol I was checking online about being breathless and apparently it can start in trimester 1 so I feel a bit better knowing that. When I am very full it doesn't help so my aim is to try and eat smaller portions - I haven't been at to manage huge meals anyway recently.went it for dinner tonight and made the mistake of ordering 2 courses. Could barely manage my main course which is not like me usually! Shock

I got new bras today for the first time! My cup has been fine but the back was beginning to get very uncomfy. When I was breathless I wanted to rip them off! So I have a bigger back size now and can't wait to wear them tomorrow! M&s had a sale so I managed to get 3 at a decent price. Tried on some of their maternity/nursing bras and they were awful. My breasts were not supported at all and because of that they were not comfortable at all. My aim is to look online for sole decent nursing bras that are also underwired too.

Hope everyone is well.

Getoff I feel your pain with the heartburn, gaviacon is my new best friend Wink the dual action ones are very effective but they taste disgusting.

Is everyone's digestive system working ok? Tmi sorry but I am struggling to poo again which is not good. I have a bottle of lactulose but have not been able to look at since I had morning sickness. I spent a lot of time gagging trying to swallow it and the memory is still vivid! Will maybe give it a go tomorrow. It's not like it actually tastes that bad.

So happy that it is Saturday tomorrow Grin I won't be getting a long lie as dd will run through at 6.30 as always but the weather is to be lovely and it's great being off work!!

harverina · 05/07/2013 22:40

Welcome cute!!

HMT13 · 05/07/2013 22:45

I'm struggling in that area too harverina. Got some prune juice coming in the shop tomorrow. If that doesn't help I'm going to try lactulose or probiotics i think. Quite used to this issue but its so much worse with a baby in there at the same time Confused
