GetOff- I can definitely relate, I feel like he's trying to break out, some shooting pains up my foo are agony! Wish it was eviction time already!!

I heard movement is meant to slow down due to lack of space?? Not with my little one, he seems to be getting more active by the day, rolling around and kicking where he shouldn't be Grin xx

Hello!

Mycat I have semi packed my bags - taking 2 - one for me one for baby and even though this is dc2 for me too, I can't quite think what to put in mine either! Baby's is all packed with vests, baby grows, hats, muslins, nappies, scratch mits, a sponge, a little brush and comb and cotton wool. All I have in mine so far are jammies!!

I am 36 weeks today so hope I still have plenty of time. If I did go into labour early I would just need to deal with it!

I am still getting huge movements - can now feel a foot swirling last at the top of my tummy which is nice to feel. Movements shouldn't decrease towards the end but they are likely to feel different as baby has less room.

I am having lots of back pain and pelvic pain. I have also been getting bad pain in my sides which my gp and midwife think are muscular. They said I should go back to physio but I kinda think it's a waste of time now???

Hope everyone is well - Monique sorry to hear you are poorly, hope the antibiotics kick in soon Thanks

Hi, haven't posted for a while but seem to be waking at 4am every morning now so I'm at a loose end! Might have something to do with my husband being due home from a 4 month work trip this morning though. So excited to see him and finally have someone to look after me. Starting to slow down a lot now which is frustrating as nesting is seriously kicking in. The kitchen cupboards got emptied, cleaned and reorganised on Saturday. Then yesterday the whole house got bleached, wiped, washed, descaled etc.
I'm 34+2 now and was told last week the baby is back to back - anyone else with this? I've bought a gym ball to bounce on on the midwife's advice. It is worrying me though. Although I posted on the main forum and a few people said there is plenty of time for the baby to move. It's my first so still no idea what I'm doing. And the hospital bag still needs to be packed, thanks for the tips!

MotherOfCleo · 07/10/2013 07:30

hi hmt. Wow, exciting about your OH! Enjoy Grin Wink

Re thwle back to back baby Im scared re this too, although mine is ok at the mo. I was told lots of aitting leaning forward as the weight of babies spine will help him stay the right way round. So sit leaning forward, either on ur gym ball or on a dining chair but facing the back of it. Also cat/cow yoga pose is good. There is a website called 'spinning babies' which might have other tips. Grin

I am 35+4 and agree re nesting, I organised all my tupperware yesterday Confused and feel the need to make jam Blush Very odd.

GreenGiant3 · 07/10/2013 08:01

HMT you must be very excited to see your hubby! Thanks

I also am worried about back to back, my first born was back to back, they had thought he'd turned but he didnt, I'm not sure if it brought me extra pain or strain as it was my first but I did tear pretty badly, that is what I'm dreading now. I'm 36wks and my MW was on holiday lasy week, the MW stepping in for her didn't feel my stomach to tell me baby's position, so I don't have a clue where he is!!

Hope baby turns for you, you do have a lot of time, if you also try going on all 4's and crawling around the house, this can help baby turn too xx

HMT13 · 07/10/2013 08:26

Ha thanks. My DH will think I've turned into a strange woman when I tell him I need to crawl on all fours around the house! Willing to try anything though!
I sit on a saddle seat at work so I'm surprised the baby is back to back cos my positioning is pretty much as it would be on a gym ball. But no bouncing at work obviously!
I'm very excited. Mostly about not having to walk 2 very energetic dogs on my own anymore, haven't told DH that though Wink
He's been delayed now though til later this evening so going to get some batch cooking done for the freezer Grin
Hope all is going well with your pregnancies x

mycatlikestwiglets · 07/10/2013 08:44

harverina I'm in the same position with back pain and PGP. I saw a physio a couple of weeks ago who said I have loose ligaments in my back and a pulled muscle in my pelvis Confused and gave me a massive tubigrip to wear around my lower back. It's so uncomfortable though I hardly wear it and like you I don't really see the point of going back at this late stage! I'm getting by with a lot of grunting and general complaining!

For those with back to back babies, try not to worry as they often turn during labour. DS was found to be back to back when I was in labour despite me having used a gym ball for weeks beforehand and while it wasn't a good experience, he did turn before he exited.

I'm a bit worried about the position of this one as I'm sure she's still transverse/oblique at best. All the kick haves been right over on my left side and pretty low down, and her back very obviously is right across where my belly button used to be. The midwife hasn't said anything though so I'm contemplating a private scan to check the position properly.

harverina · 07/10/2013 09:18

Hmt how exciting! You must be so happy to have him home Grin

Mycat I also have a tubie grip but it makes my already rubbish heartburn utterly unbearable!! So I have ditched it which I probably shouldn't have Shock

honey86 · 07/10/2013 10:23

hi again motherofcleo Smile

i feel your pain with the pgp, im using crutches atm cos my hip joints keep twisting and popping Shock
my movements have gone right down too, but still getting enough to assure me. got midwife today at long last. after the last 2 weeks of on/off false labours im hoping he'll at least have dropped down.
if hes still high up after all that im going to be gutted Sad ive always had difficult births i want it to be normal this time x

MotherOfCleo · 07/10/2013 10:33

Hi honey Smile oh wow that sounds painful!! Sad Hope you're coping ok!

I am now taking rasberry leaf tea and evening primrose oil, plus sitting on my ball each night, walking, doing some yoga positions and cleaning floors etc to try and get him in position....its so attractive being pregnant Wink

honey86 · 07/10/2013 13:42

ooh me too... been on evening primrose oil too and just started popping one up 'there' at night... caused some stabbing pains down there and some irregular contractions but its always died off again x

Kittyb78 · 07/10/2013 17:24

Hi ladies, another latecomer here, hope you don't mind me joining too!

I'm 34+4 and due on 15th November - our first baby and he's a boy! I'm already on maternity leave (started last Tuesday) so it's definitely feeling like the home stretch now.

I feel mahoosive and am seriously wondering where the next 6ish weeks worth of baby growth is going to fit Hmm but thankfully am feeling fit, well and mobile so I'm not complaining!

Midwife appointment tomorrow and being evaluated for the local birth centre... Fingers crossed!

Not sure what happens on the FB group but will send a pm to you Angus to add me there too please.

honey86 · 07/10/2013 19:52
