Teddybear4 · 24/06/2013 13:43

Hi

Is there an antenatal thread for March 2013?

If not, can I start one? I've just found out Im expecting our third (and final!!) baby, due 4 March.

Fingers crossed tightly for a smooth ride (I had early bleeds with both my previous pregnancies).

Anyone else out there yet?

Congrats all and welcome.

Ladyflower we got upduffed quickly too - and as Rock says, don't worry yourself over labour. I had an EMCS which I had convinced myself would be the worst outcome and it was really not so bad. And think positive! Don't let anyone (especially health professionals who should know better) make you more stressed about what could happen. At the moment, you've got those two little lines and a poppy seed in there and that's all that matters right now Smile

snapple21 · 27/06/2013 17:30

I'm hoping for an early scan after my prev miscarriage and tfmr, anyone else hoping for an early one? Anyone made an appointment for booking yet? Xx

maja00 · 27/06/2013 18:37

I'm thinking of going to a private scan at 7-8 weeks. You don't book in here til 10 weeks and then the dating scan is around 12 weeks so quite a long time to wait.

Coolhand · 27/06/2013 20:20

Don't think I'll get an early scan - last time round had my scan at 10 weeks but then seemed like ages to the 'big' scan - also panicked that something could have happened at 11/12 weeks. This time I think I'll hold off until my 12 week scan but it all depends on the hospital appointments.

Today I felt exhausted - really surprised me as didn't expect to feel quite like this so soon! Anyway, off on hols Sat morning so have that to look forward to.

Rockchick1984 · 27/06/2013 23:07

Snapple I rang the midwife a couple of days ago and she said I'll be eligible for an early scan or 2 because of previous miscarriage. I'm not certain if I want to though - had scan at 7+5 last time and saw heartbeat, everything perfect etc. then at 12 week scan we discovered baby had died at around 8 weeks so I know I wouldn't be reassured this time anyway Sad

Cool have a fantastic holiday, are you going anywhere nice?

IceNoSlice · 28/06/2013 10:11

So just had a little cry. I was playing with DS and thinking how far he's come in 10.5 months and how he'll have a brother or sister soon. I was also thinking how I am so lucky and happy. So blubbed. Symptom I think!

floatyflo · 28/06/2013 18:46

Hi all may I join? After a couple of faint lines and an unsure start, am now confident with me bfp. According to mumsnet due date calender, am due 6th March!

Hi rock and ice Fellow jsers.

Can't believe how quickly I have conceived. Me and dp had been 'not preventing for a couple of months, but June was the first month we estimated when id be ovulating. We are very very lucky and so blessed.

Exciting times ladies! Been really crampy today. But generally feeling well.

Oooh could we do a roll call? Had one on another thread and its good way of getting to know you all. Something like this? -

Name: Floatyflo
Dc's?: 1ds 2.9
Approx. Due date: 6th March

I dunno what else we could say! :)

Teddybear4 · 28/06/2013 21:37

So, for the roll call...

Me: Teddybear4
DCs: ds - 5.5 and dd - 3
Due date: 4 March (or thereabouts)

Not much to report. Queasiness is increasing in the morning and evening and I have had to come to bed tonight as I am so tired. All after I said to H last night that I was concerned about a lack of symptoms!

It took us (what seemed like!) an age to conceive this one - bit of a shock after falling quickly twice before.

Welcome floatyflo and apprentice .

It hits everyone differently LadyFlower. Hope you feel better soon.

Had a think about clothes today. I have to say, the idea of putting my maternity clothes on again does not fill me with joy. I think I may need new ones Wink

floatyflo · 29/06/2013 11:18

apprentice Oh yes I am clueless as to how I may cope with two!

And I cannot possibly imagine how this little speck will fit into our little family.unit at the mo.

Seems so strange to think im going to have two dc because I cannot imagine how I will love new dc as passionately and as strongly as I do ds. (obviously I know that I will and prob already do, and in a years time I won't remember how I thought 'aaah what if I dont!' Grin)

Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I am so incredibly tired today! Feel like I be been zapped with a energy zapping zapper.

Ladyflower Sorry to hear of your awful sickness! Hopefully it won't last long for you :)

I was one of the lucky ones and never had it with ds, fingers crossed I get such luck this time, although have had waves of nausea in the mornings.

apprenticemamma · 29/06/2013 11:27

thank you ladies and floatyflo your words really resonate , really helpful. thanks hon. My dh isn't into excessive reassurance giving but I'm feeling needy. So I am so happy these forums are here to validate all this stuff and reassure! When I mentioned to my bff who s also ttc ( her first) she did not get it xxx

IceNoSlice · 29/06/2013 12:37

Rock - on 't other thread, you said you did a digi that said 3+, you are 4+4 and due 4th March. I am wondering what I should think of as my due date. My last ERTD was 22 may so that would make me 5+3 and due 26 Feb. But I did a digi yesterday and it said 2-3 weeks? So maybe I'm due a bit later???

floatyflo · 29/06/2013 20:39

Evening all,

Has anybody told any others about being pregnant yet?

Have been very emotional today! Cried today after telling my Mum and not quite getting the reaction I had expected Sad

Souredstones · 29/06/2013 20:46

Evening. Just signing in. Got a complete definite line, no hiding it! Only 4 weeks gone tho due beginning of march.

Symptoms are: bloating, peeing all the time and mild nausea (already!)

Told our parents and no one else

Coolhand · 29/06/2013 20:46

Hi Rock the digi test does it from conception whereas the doctor dates it from 1st day of last cycle. If digi says 2-3 that's in line with you being about 4-5 weeks.

Well I've had an eventful couple of days. Thurs night DS was sick x8 - he was only sick once on Friday. He was a nightmare on the flight - screamed 3/4s of it and repeatedly threw himself around, we were glad to land. 10 mins after we arrived I started vomiting and have repeatedly vomited ever since. Can't lift head off pillow (typing this from said pillow). Anyway don't know if it's pregnancy or DS's bug but I think the latter. Not a good start.

We're in Spain, staying at a place called Caserio del Mirador which I found on mumsnet. I haven't seen much beyond the toilet/bedroom but dh says it's lovely and my DS loved meeting the animals! Sorry for epic post and sorry to hear symptoms setting in with everyone.

Coolhand · 29/06/2013 20:47

On the plus side - the wi-fi is great so can keep up with all you lovely ladies!

Rockchick1984 · 29/06/2013 20:54

Flo we've told our best friends as we were on a night out and they noticed me not drinking Blush but not told anyone else - even parents don't know yet!

Ice the digi tests aren't fantastically accurate for dating (had a scare last time when I expected it to be 1-2 weeks and showed as 3+, thought I must have been having twins :) ) apparently they are only around 85-90% for dating as HCG levels can vary from one woman to another. Do you have a long cycle? Mine is always 27-28 days but if yours is longer then you could be less pregnant than you thought if that makes sense! EDD is based on LMP until 12 week scan anyway so don't worry, it'll be corrected at some point :)

Rockchick1984 · 29/06/2013 20:57

Cool hope you feel better soon! Keep your fluids up as much as possible, and keep focusing on DS not being ill for long so hopefully you will feel better fairly quickly Thanks

IceNoSlice · 29/06/2013 21:31

Ah thanks Rock. TBH I have no idea how long my cycle is - before DS I didn't track ERTD and it just showed up when it showed up. Since DS, only one period so who knows? I'll just have to wait till the scan Smile

Get well soon Cool

KnickersOnOnesHead · 29/06/2013 21:33

Hi all.

Got a bfp yesterday. 4 to be exact! Have been on the pill since December and so this has come as quite a shock. It also memeans I've no idea how far gone I am so hope no one minds me hoping on here. I have a dd and a d's already. Two previous mc.

floatyflo · 29/06/2013 22:08

Urgh! Feel horrid tonight. Raging hormones. Just doubting myself so much. I feel all down thinking how am I going to cope? Is it the right time for another baby? What if something goes wrong?.Please tell me its just hormones and these aren't real.

Dp has just left work and feel all alone! Silly really,.love this time of night usually. Ds tucked up in bed, me time in front of the telly. Can't call anyone as know one other than parents knows I'm pregnant.

Phone call with mother has put such a downer on me. I feel like a child. I am a grown woman for gawds sakes.

Feel free to slap me :)

snapple21 · 29/06/2013 22:45

Floaty I think the doubts are normal I definitely have them. I'm in my second year of uni so I'm going to have to take year out. Oh well. Maybe not the best timing but me and my partner have been desperate since we said goodbye to our first when I was 16 wks in November.

I'm really struggling with the sickness again! I was on cyclizine last time can see it heading that way again!! Xx
