I know some of you aren't feeling much movement yet, but I on the other hand seem to be growing an Olympic gymnast In there!! constant flipping and kicking going on, woke me up at one point last night!!
went on an online splurge for clothes for myself today!! bought 6 dresses and some more leggings from new look. finally definitely not fitting in my normal clothes anymore!! bump seems to have popped out even more the last few days!! here's hoping my swimsuit still fits for aquanatal tomorrow before my maternity one arrives!!

Slippysnow · 27/05/2013 19:00

Great to hear your experiencing an energetic baby, hope they don't keep you up too many nights.

Re the bugaboo, in London they are very popular. I had a look at them and they look great size wise and foldability (great as I have a tiny car/boot) but I was put off at how low the baby would be.

Natalieand · 27/05/2013 19:14

With regards to chinese gender prediction chart it worked for dd but not for this pregnancy x

thatsnotmypineapple · 27/05/2013 19:34

pseudo I very much doubt I am going to get a new pram, like yours, my DH is insisting that we have everything we need. He is also worried that MIL (who bought our existing pram for us) would be upset if we got another one.

Flyer747 · 27/05/2013 19:49

I took my bugaboo apart yesterday to wash all the fabrics, now I can't seem to put it back together, haha! It's like a jigsaw it's so confusing!

DP and I were struggling with girls names and only had Olivia that we both liked, I was telling our cleaner last week and since she has been texting all different names through. Anyway about an hour ago she texted through a name and we both said straight away "we love it" Emmy so that's going to be our girls name....does anyone on here know any other Emmy's or what are your opinions on the name, no offence taken if you aren't keen, honest answers.

Flyer747 · 27/05/2013 19:53

Excuse my terrible Grammar on the last post, the lack of ?

MrsO27 · 27/05/2013 20:10

I did the Bounty gender predictor too and it said boy so I guess one of them will be right! Wink

textbook · 27/05/2013 20:13

flyer Emmy is a lovely name - it's on our list but as a nn for Emmeline Smile

JellyCurls · 27/05/2013 20:17

We call dc1 Emmy as a pet name, she is an Emma so I live Emmy as a name.

Gender predictor is correct for us, and correct for dc1 & 2 so 100% accuracy for us.

JellyCurls · 27/05/2013 20:17

Love Emmy not live Emmy (stupid phone)

Natalieand · 27/05/2013 20:22

I love the name Emmy too! Good choice and not heard that often but not rediculously unusual either says me with a dd called honey lol

claphammama · 27/05/2013 21:49

Lovely name flyer.

According to the Chinese prediction I'm having a boy - lets see how good it is in 8 days! I also tested it with DS dates and he was supposed to be a boy - he is indeed.

I've never had a bugaboo but a lot of my friends have had it. They really liked it but most of them found that they needed to buy another buggy when babies were 9 months or so as bugaboos were too small by then. Worth bearing in mind.

Lovely sunny weekend in Cheltenham with MIL. She hasn't seen me in over 2 months so loved finally seeing the bump. She bought us a lovely snug for the baby (instead of the moses basket). Will try to post it later on Facebook.

Hope you are feeling better pseudo!

My anterior placenta is beginning to frustrate me... Strangely I felt movements between 16-18 weeks but nothing for a week now... Trying not to worry and remind myself that it's normal but very frustrating as I felt so many movements with DS...

Flyer747 · 27/05/2013 21:54

Thanks for your opinions ladies.

Claphammama I didn't know you had an anterior placenta, I remember you saying about movements so I thought you were 'normal' so to speak! It is a tad frustrating isn't it....Do you have any preferences for the sex of your 2nd?

thatsnotmypineapple · 27/05/2013 22:13

Had to laugh at dd today. We went to central London on the train, watched DH in the London 10k, then had a BBQ and ice cream, and then she went out with DH to buy a surprise birthday cake for me. MIL then asked her on the phone what the highlight of her day was. Answer: having to do a wee behind a tree because the queue for the toilet was too long Grin

claphammama · 27/05/2013 22:20

yes, so frustrating flyer... And yes, strangely I felt distinct movements for two weeks and then they stopped... perhaps something has moved to a different position... I will ask when I go for my scan.

No preference this time really... for some reason I wanted DS to be a girl and had a clear preference then. Not now! I think I'm slightly leaning towards a boy... but probably only because it's my comfort zone and I know what to expect! What on earth would I do with a little girl??? I'm sure I will figure it out if needed :-) I really can't wait until 4th June now... Initially I wasn't bothered about finding out this time but really keen to know now.

claphammama · 27/05/2013 22:41

ps. just saw your earlier post. I also need to wash our buggy but it has so many pieces, I'm scared to take them off and not be able to put them back on!

Shirehobbit · 28/05/2013 07:37

Morning and good luck scanners Smile

Had a lovely, but busy long weekend, but I may have been a bit enthusiastic about gardening yesterday, as I am a bit stiff and sore today. Sometimes I kind of forget I'm pregnant.
No forgetting it now though - despite obsessive moisturising, I've just discovered stretch marks on my boobs Sad
I've gone from 36B/C to a 36DD. And now I think I need to go up to a 38 as my ribs seem to be expanding.
It's not like I go flashing them around or anything, but I don't like the way they look and it's made me feel a bit bleurgh. I guess I just have to hope that they'll shrink afterwards and the scarring will be minimal.

moonblues · 28/05/2013 08:36

Morning. Scanning at 12 o'clock today and starting to get a bit nervous... Hope everything's ok.
I had a lovely weekend too. It was lovely and sunny and we had a bunch of friends round for lunch - was great.
Sorry about your stretch marks shirehobbit. I managed to get to 39 weeks without any with my DS, but that last week was obviously too much for my poor skin and they suddenly appeared. Luckily they have faded and I never really had a bikini figure to start off with!
Hope everyone has a good day.

Haylebop12 · 28/05/2013 08:43

shire don't worry about the stretch marks, I only got them on my boobs with dd and my stomach was great after! and the ones on my boobs are barely noticeable.

OMG I'm soooo excited about tomorrow!!!

Natalieand · 28/05/2013 08:51

Good luck to all those scanning today!! Is anyone finding out the baby's gender today?

Back to miserable old rain here boo

Warlin · 28/05/2013 08:58

Morning all

So exhausted after a manic weekend. My dad's retirement do on Friday, then DS's first birthday party on Sunday and his actual birthday yesterday. We had 40 adults, 17 kids and 8 babies so was exhausting! After the kids entertainment turning up late and me getting massively stressed, everything worked out well. Can't believe my little baby is now 1!

My friend had her DS2 at 33 weeks yesterday too and he's 6lbs and doing great!

clap I have a bugaboo and don't know what you mean about it getting too small?! The child seat is bigger than most other prams? I am going to have to get a double and am thinking of a babyjogger but I worry as the seats are half the width as the bugaboo and ds looks squeezed in. I love the bugaboo to walk from the house but don't really take it anywhere as I hate taking it apart to go in the car. I want someting that folds down in one as hate prams being in 2 bits. I'm going to keep my bugaboo too though as it's much bigger and more comfortable for one child than the double I'll prob end up getting. Really not sure how I will manage logistically though!

flyer Emmy is a lovely name I think.

Can't believe we are nearly through this thread again! I need to read back as I've missed a few days so will get caught up asap

Have a good day everyone x

MrsAFlowerpot · 28/05/2013 08:59

Morning all - good luck to today's scanners! I also love Emmy, am really struggling to think of little boys names. DD has a very Irish name so wondering if it's odd not to go the same way this time.

Shire I did some gardening last Sunday and by Tuesday was in pain walking - ridiculous!! Have people been keeping up any exercise? I haven't but now feel I should!

Haylebop12 · 28/05/2013 09:12

Do you recon because dh and I can only agree on a boys name that were having a boy? My mum seems to think so. We can't agree in girls AT ALL!

TheFalconsmistress · 28/05/2013 09:12

so tired today, I second placenta frustration no less than 5 movements all day 11pm comes and she is full on disco dancing for hours! I think i am going have my hands full with this one!

TheFalconsmistress · 28/05/2013 09:21

Still think you are having a girl haylebop :)
