are you going anywhere nice sanji?

soup no worries - I reverted to some older versions and managed to retrieve what you deleted so it's all good and all there now

I've just woken up from a really distressing dream. We had a newborn baby girl, only 3-4 days old, and DP wouldn't let me BF her. He would feed her himself with a bottle and wouldn't give her to me and let me hold her at all. I then saw that he was feeding her 3-6 months formula and was crying my eyes out saying he would kill her. His dad and mum were there and his dad (I've never met as he died years ago) was telling me what a b my DP has always been. I woke up exhausted and super upset, on the verge of tears. DP is getting a lot of s* this morning and didn't understand why so just told him about the dream. He thinks I'm losing my mind. Can't believe he didn't let me hold my baby!! Still so angry with him...

Haylebop12 · 25/05/2013 08:54

Yes sanji I'm your buddy! I think we're due date buddies too (13/10)?

Soupqueen · 25/05/2013 09:01

Thanks clapham, I'm blaming baby brain, I use spreadsheets every day!

What a horrid dream. I often have dreams where DH is vile, cheating etc. it happens so often and I wake up in such a snit with him that we've come up with a name for his evil alter ego. It helps me distance myself a bit from it.

Looks like lovely weather here, hope it stays for a few days!

thatsnotmypineapple · 25/05/2013 09:41

Good morning everyone. I am hoping to join this thread (very late), although I have been lurking since the very beginning.

I am due on 3rd Oct and already have DD (3). We had our scan on Monday and apparently I am having another girl, but they couldn't see everything properly so when I have to go back in a couple of weeks I am going to get a second opinion Grin

HotSoupDumpling · 25/05/2013 10:11

Welcome pineapple!

Re dreams, I also have dreams where DH is mean, and wake up still feeling the same vivid hot anger! Poor guy wakes up and I'm hissing at him.

textbook · 25/05/2013 14:27

Hi pineapple

I've had a few dreams now where my dp has cheated on me - once with 17 women he had met online (!) and another time he had a secret gf at work. They are so vivid I actually feel furious when I wake up, and have been known to be grumpy with him for days after Grin

Slippysnow · 25/05/2013 14:59

I make a nuisance of myself by sleep walking/talking. The other night I shook dp until he woke up saying the ceiling was falling down. He ran out the room- I woke up properly asking him why he was outside and he was very angry when I started laughing. But, I realised I'd been left in bed!! Poor thing has to put up with my shenanigans even at night.

Smitten1981 · 25/05/2013 15:03

Hello and welcome Pineapple.

Sooo I went to Debenhams today to get fitted for a proper bra. My usual size is 36F, I didn't tell the woman that though and she measured me and I'm still a 36F even though all my bras are way too tight. Weird.

Anyway, she said as I was pregnant she wasn't allowed to suggest anything other than a soft cup bra as underwires are a no no and said that I should go up 2 back sizes as it would be loose on tightest fitting then I can expand as I go along. As per they didn't have anything in the soft cup above an E, so I ended up with a normal underwired one in a 40F. It's Massive. Hopefully won't give me heartburn like the others though. I'll see how I can get on.

Soupqueen · 25/05/2013 15:14

smitten, underwires are fine as long as the bra fits well. I doubt you're the same size if you're feeling your bras too tight.

Do you have a Bravissimo anywhere near you? I've found their fitting and advice to be better than anywhere else.

Smitten1981 · 25/05/2013 15:58

We have one in Cambridge and Milton Keynes but they're both a bit of a trek. I hate bra shopping at the best of times!

roofio87 · 25/05/2013 16:45

Happy sunny bank holiday to everyone!! I'm loving this weather!! went to a big market this.morning and got a full body pregnancy pillow for £10. its so comfy but I'm not sure there is going to be any room left for dp in the bed!! went with two friends who bought baby a baby grow that's black and white stripped and says "just done nine months inside" on it, its too funny!!Smile

Natalieand · 25/05/2013 16:50

I'm with u on the pillow roofio I have recently started using mine (I had it when preggo with dd) and if I get up for a wee and go back into bed when I walk into the bedroom I think woah do I really need that much room in the bed haha.

I just refreshed the spread sheet and I'm suprised how many ppl are keeping the sex a suprise :-)

thatsnotmypineapple · 25/05/2013 19:35

I was thinking today that I need to sort my bras out. I am a 34f. I bought some maternity dresses, and as they are cut to an empire line, even my normal underwire bras give me, what can only be described as a matronly bosom. I dread to think what they will look like with a non wired maternity bra.

I think I will venture out to bravissimo.

Smitten1981 · 25/05/2013 21:34

Pineapple - the soft cup one had a surprisingly good shape, I would have bought one if it wasn't a cup size too small.

Quick holiday query - does anyone know if I will be covered for emergency medical care in Spain on the EHIC card? I've heard travel insurance is hard to get if you are pregnant and the EHIC website says maternity care as well as other emergency care is covered. Do I need insurance at all?

Haylebop12 · 25/05/2013 21:56

Your dream stories have given me a giggle. I also have vivid dreams mainly about spiders in the bed or daddy long legs in the room. When I'd just had dd and was feeding in the night I'd wake up panicking that I'd left her in bed with me and I was going to crush her! Even though she was safe and sound in her Moses basket Smile

I have a couple soft cup bras from mothercare. Really comfy and give a decent shape.

roofio I have that baby grow too and it's especially amusing in this house as dh is a prison wing manager!

thatsnotmypineapple · 25/05/2013 21:56

Smitten I think the EHIC only covers the cost of treatment. Insurance would be a good idea, if, god forbid, something more serious happens and you need special medical assistance to get back to the UK. It should also cover things like the cost of an extended stay due to accident or illness (not an expert though).

Ellie15 · 25/05/2013 21:59

Pineapple- I have been to Bravissimo and got a really nice soft cup bra made by panache and the fitter was lovely. I have also been to Debenhams and the service wasn't great but after complaining to the manager it got much better. Their maternity bras are quite comfy and surprisingly supportive, I'm now in a 34E.

Natalieand · 25/05/2013 22:05

I'm usually a 42dd and still wearing that size now some days they seem to fit fine and other days my boobs seem to be hanging out everywhere I think I'll just buy cheap and cheerful bras from Asda for now I never brought any expensive ones when I was pregnant with dd either

claphammama · 25/05/2013 22:07

I am now a proud owner of the proper full B cup!! The only time I can achieve it is when pregnant. Not bra purchase related but just wanted to share my joy. I love having proper boobs for a change! Grin Grin Grin Grin

MotherOfNations · 25/05/2013 23:18

I'm normally a 32 E but have gone up to a 34 E since being pregnant. It's great it means I can buy cheap bras in Asda now. They didn't stock anything in a 32 back size in an E cup which is really annoying.
A 32 back size usually means you are around a size 12 and they stock size 8 clothes but no bras that would fit anyone who is a size 8.

Sanjifair · 26/05/2013 07:45

Yay, I have a scan buddy! We do have the same due date as well Hayley. Clapham, we are off to Majorca for 10 days for a beach holiday. My DS is very excited!
Smitten I would defo get travel insurance, EHIC would only cover medical care, not things like re-booking flights, hotel costs for other half if you had to stay in hospital for example.

HotSoupDumpling · 26/05/2013 08:13

Haven't needed to buy any new bras yet... But it's v satisfying the way I do fill out my current A ones ! Clapham we're probably in the same small-booked camp...

HotSoupDumpling · 26/05/2013 08:13

Small-booked? Small-boobed

Haylebop12 · 26/05/2013 08:39

Eeek Amelia has felt baby move this morning! She was giggling away!

MrsAFlowerpot · 26/05/2013 08:46

Hello ladies...can I rejoin? I was on threads 1-3 but had a really difficult time between 8-17 weeks with bleeds, size concerns etc. Have had good consultant led care and had a positive 20 eeek scan on Wednesday - it's a boy! they're bringing me back next week for another as he wouldnt turn so that all 4 chambers of the heart were visible but they were generally pleased.

My pregnancy with DD was v straightforward (until EMCS at birth!) so this has all been super stressful but now feeling positive.

Haven't told anyone in RL that it's a boy so nice to share here - if you'll have me back! Smile
