saralou100 · 29/06/2006 14:46

i've joined all these clubs... waiting for something to arrive!! maybe i'll get something anti-ageing!!

Debz99 · 29/06/2006 15:11

The hair mask is quite good I have thick hair too and spend hours straightening it (that's gonna have to stop when I have baby) !!!! the stretch mark stuff not sure it works but it smells nice !! and the No 7 foundation is wonderful doesn't feel like you have any on at all !!!

eeyoreuk · 29/06/2006 18:55

Hi All
got my midwife appt in the morning - is anybody else having pain under there rib cage. I am quite short in the body so wondered if that was the cause see what the midwife says tomorrow.

NatalieJane · 29/06/2006 20:38

I haven't done this time Eeyore, but I did in my last pregnancy, I think perhaps I was a bit further on though, I know towards the end I felt like I wanted someone to take my bottom two ribs out!

I am sure it is nothing to worry about, it is just all of your organs that would normally be in your belly are being squashed upwards, and then kicked by the baby!

Good luck

NatalieJane · 30/06/2006 11:59

Morning Well, nearly afternoon actually

I have been in town all morning, feet are killing me, back is aching, I am boiling boiling boiling hot, and it is DS's summer fair this afternoon that I somehow got roped into helping on one of the stalls for, am not looking forward to it one bit. I suppose it wouldn't be as bad if it was inside but it is going to be in the playground with no shade, and DS is going to have to sit and wait until I am free for him to go round and have a look.

Anyway, I will stop moaning and get on with it!! Wish me luck!! And have a good weekend if I don't get back on xxx

fatbetty · 30/06/2006 13:05

Stacey, I admire you for at least venturing out and going somewhere on the train! I have friends who are down in London tomorrow and feel horrible that I'm not going in and seeing them - but can't even faced taking two kids into London on my own (DH is gone for the weekend). Instead, I promised to take DS1 (and 2) to the local car show this weekend (DS1 is a car fanatic and can name practically every car at 3.5!). Hopefully that will knock them out early and can have a nice night to myself.

Very hot here too! NJ, good luck with your fair. Take an umbrella along for some shade and plenty of water.

NatalieJane · 30/06/2006 16:12

Well we are back Feet are the size of... errr.... swollen feet I guess!! LOL My back is killing me, DS is absolutely shattered after about 10 lots on the bouncy castle, but the best thing is we made about £30 on our stall for the school, which is fantastic!!

Am now waiting for DH to get home so I can have a nice long soak in the bath

eeyoreuk · 30/06/2006 16:25

Hi all
midwife is happy with me - she thnks the pain under my ribs is because my stomach muscles are holding the bump in!!! I have not got to see her for six weeks. The only thing she did say was that there was a slight trace of sugar in the urine and i should eat a little less ice cream.
I am being refered to the anasthetic clinic as a precaution as i cracked my coccyx(tail bone) a few years ago and am noticing a little discomfort.

It is hot here too speak later

podglet · 30/06/2006 16:25

Hi all

Well done NJ for the money raised although it sounds as though you may pay for it tomorrow!

Stacey - I'm going to London tomorrow to see my cousin & my friend and I am dreading it (not seeing them but the travel and the fact it always seems 5 degrees hotter in London than anywhere else) - think you are very brave to take a toddler there too!

Officially half way tomorrow - hurrah!

Hope everyone else is ok and not melting too badly in the heat - am beginning to think Greece was not such a clever idea for a holiday

eeyoreuk · 30/06/2006 16:27

podglet glad i am not travelling anywhere this weekend they say the weather is going to be hot hot hot.

NatalieJane · 30/06/2006 16:30

Podglet, that is one thing I don't get about the weather, when it gets hot in the UK, it gets really muggy and it is a horrible heat, but even in 35 degrees abroad, it is hot but it isn't an all enveloping heat that tires you out. I am sure you will find it's lovely!

Mummy2Toby · 30/06/2006 16:43

Good afternoon everyone Hope we are all enjoying the weather!
Well - just got back from my scan - I am 22+5 today and the sonographer said that she wasn't 100% but if you were to hold a gun to her head, she would say it's a GIRL!! I am really pleased as we really wanted one of each ..... but now I wan't a 4-d scan to be definate - I am sure she wouldn't have said it if she wasn't fairly sure though Have to go because ds is terrorising the house now, but will pop back later. Take Care all

eeyoreuk · 30/06/2006 17:36

congratulations on your pink baby mum2toby - i am still sticking by my guns and am glad i do not know - i would like a 4d scan but am wary because then i might find out and we have both decided we want the suprise
eeyoreuk

podglet · 30/06/2006 18:13

Congrats MummytoToby - one of each - how lovely! Glad all went well

NJ - I know exactly what you mean - over here it seems to be a very "wet" heat, whilst abroad it seems much drier - maybe it's also got something to do with over here we're at home with all the normal things to do, whilst abroad we can lie there and enjoy it!

Eeyoreuk - am beginning to regret agreeing to tomorrow but couldn't predict the weather, will just have to find lots of shops & cafes with air con!

staceym11 · 30/06/2006 22:11

oh mummytotoby thats brill news, glad everything ok. they say its only 95% or summit, but if they werent sure im pretty sure they wouldnt tell you!

well didnt feel brave afterwards just stupid! lol, well it was a lovely day altogether just the journey on train on our own (after we split up from mum and auntie) was a bit overwhelming!

Morning all,

TMI coming up but, I nippd up for a wee last night and when I wiped there was a pink-ish tinge, I think it was just from walking all round town yesterday morning (with the bags getting heavier and heavier) and then stood doing the stall at the summer fair in the afternoon, maybe I just over did it? It seems to have stopped this morning, and I could feel the baby moving last night, no movements this morning but I don't normally feel them in the morning anyway so trying not to read anything into it. I am still having what I think are BH as well that haven't got any more uncomfortable/painfull so I am hoping it is just as I said.

Obviously if anything else happens I will have to try and see someone, but for now we are going to have a very relaxing day and try not to worry any more.

Why do I get the feeling the next 20 odd weeks are going to be very slow?

Hope everyone else is well

DebbsyandBibby · 01/07/2006 10:20

nj it probably is because you did too much take it easy today and no more carrying heavy bags (stern telling off there)
well i dont think any of us will stop worrying until our bibbys are born,im the same getting a dull ache in my back and lower right side, when i saw the midwife she told me i had a slight tracing of protein and blood in my water, and just too drink more i do 2 litres a day.You dont think its any thing to worry about do you?this ache as i keep feeling these what can only be described as little stings in my tummy then they are gone again in seconds particularly by my appendics scar (lower right side) what do you think this is please?

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 01/07/2006 15:04

Debbsy

I have no idea what those aches and pains are either - all I know it's exactly the same for me - I woke up this morning with such a pain in my lower back and right side, you'd have thought I'd slept on a brick! I generally sleep on my left side so I can't even say I've been lying on it funny. I've also been getting little stabbing pains and have a question - how early do you get BH? I've been getting the odd tightening feeling - only about once of twice a week - if that, but I can't remember how soon you get them. Any answers?

Hi everyone

No more blood, and I can still feel the baby moving about (I think he was playing for England yesterday and didn't realise they had lost and the game was over!) we found a quiet(er) spot on the beach at Blackpool and spent the day building sandcastles and jumping the waves, and more of the same planned for today so I am definatly resting up!

Will be a bit more careful with the suncream for me though, last time I was pregnant I got burnt really easily, and this time I have as well, not like me at all, everyone else was fine but I am red as a melon, very attractive!! LOL Oh well, looks like I will have extra time with DH rubbing my back etc.!!

Anyway, hope everone else is enjoying the weekend and the weather!
