I came home from work and decided to vacuum and clean all the downstairs carpets and rugs. Does that count as energised or just daft?

Claphammama · 26/04/2013 20:12

lol. daft shire :-) as too early to call it nesting instinct!

soup and orange - also eagerly awaiting the energy boost and the glowing stage...

Shirehobbit · 26/04/2013 20:21

I have since collapsed on the sofa with a jumbo bag of Skittles. And of course, I can't go anywhere now to do more housework, as all the carpets are damp...bring on Masterchef Grin

Claphammama · 26/04/2013 20:29

yes! masterchef! also on the sofa waiting for john and Greg. DP busy cooking faijtas. who goes today? my money is on the Asian guy... he messed up last night. can't remember his name...

Shirehobbit · 26/04/2013 20:44

Larkin? But he'd been so strong before yesterday.
Dale's been up and down, too - but seems to really pull it out when he needs to.
They love the flavour of Saira's food, but it seems quite rustic at times.
Natalie has gone from strength to strength, but wobbles under pressure.

I really think it could be any one of them!!

Soupqueen · 26/04/2013 20:48

I missed the start of Masterchef so waiting for it to start on I player. I think Natalie might win.

Claphammama · 26/04/2013 20:53

They are all amazing. Quite happy for any of them to come and cook for me! I love Larkin's food and Natalie is so sweet. So young!

DP just opened a bottle of red wine to annoy me...

Shirehobbit · 26/04/2013 20:53

Oh dear... I think I've just worked out where the dropped chocolate pud they've been teasing us with in the flash clips for weeks is coming in...

Natalieand · 26/04/2013 20:54

Claphammama · 26/04/2013 21:18

poor larkin!!

had a glass of rose last night... it was amazing... my one a week allowance

MrsO27 · 26/04/2013 21:25

Thanks orangeblossom will have a look back over the last few pages. My 16 week appt is actually at 17 weeks because of my holiday, so 16th May. I'm hoping I'll get more info then on my bloods and the full results.
I guess the worrying will never end but really looking forward to getting past the 20 week scan. It's not until 7th June though. Thanks again everyone.

Shirehobbit · 26/04/2013 21:28

Wow - thought it would be between those two to go, but was shocked by the final outcome.

(Think I managed to avoid spoilers there?)

Haylebop12 · 26/04/2013 21:33

clap rose next week Wink I'm off the meds and heard the hb so a little tipple was a must tonight with my curry Smile

Claphammama · 26/04/2013 21:35

fully agree haylebop have to celebrate!

Natalieand · 26/04/2013 21:54

Nice to see(hear) you coming out the other end of all that horrible sickness hayle

Sorry to hear your results weren't what u were expecting mrsO I hope your midwife gives u all the answers u need xxx

I think I will save my drinking tipples for the weddings and parties I have coming up over the next few months as I wouldn't usually drink at home anyway its just he knowing I can't that makes me want too

I had strawberries and evaporated milk then thought is evaporated milk safe in pregnancy?

Tarlia · 26/04/2013 22:13

Nat Evaporated milk is fine as far as I'm aware. They used to water it down and feed to tiny babies in the war days.

I can't watch MC over here, I want to know who went out now from all those teasers!! :D

MrsO,try not to worry and enjoy your holiday.

My scan is the 14th May, rox I think you are my buddy? Mine is at 9am followed by a consultant appointment.

Flyer747 · 26/04/2013 22:14

Has anyone else got really greasy hair at the moment? My hair is super greasy at the roots, never suffered with this before, just washed it and it already looks like I've just dunked my head in the chip pan! Also my nails keep breaking...I'm a right minger at the moment

Natalieand · 26/04/2013 22:16

flyer the greasy hair was what made me test lol it seems to be dying down a bit now xxx

Tarlia · 26/04/2013 22:17

Oh and all I've bought so far is a teeny tiny (may never fit!) cream ribbed cotton cardi. It just jumped off the sale rail (half price £3ish) when I was buying maternity clothes. H&M have a sale over here, managed to grab a couple of bargains (including summer under bump shorts £5, nursing long sleeve top £5 and maternity tights for late pregnancy £2), worth checking if UK stores have a sale too.

Flyer747 · 26/04/2013 22:18

Tar Natalie I hope my minger phase buggers off ASAP haha x

roxvox · 26/04/2013 22:52

tarlia yes! We are scan date buddies Smile - mine is at 10am. Can't wait, but also very nervous!

I haven't bought anything, but I do have a list of stuff I want and I regularly spend my lunch breaks/evenings Internet browsing and adding to the list... Keeping it hidden from DH at the minute Blush

Wickedgirl · 27/04/2013 06:40

Pregnancy is a scary time

You spend the first 12 weeks almost too afraid to breathe

You get to 16 weeks and hopefully can breathe a little easier if you get to hear the heartbeat but you know you still have the 20 week scan to get past

You get the scan ok and then think. "I hope I can get to at least 23weeks" as you know the baby will have a fighting chance of survival

Then it's "I hope I can get to 28 weeks" as the baby's chances hugely improve from that point on.

Then 37 weeks so that you have a term baby and hopefully no complications

Then you hit 40 weeks and really pray that the baby comes soon as you can't breathe, can't sleep, can't walk, need to go for a wee every 2minutes (but only manage a tiny dribble) and you really want to meet this new little person

Hopefully we will all be done by 42 weeks!
