Ohhh MoM, I'm so sad for you. You've been so lovely on this thread, always asking after us if we're away for a day or so, you'll be missed.

I wish you all the luck in the world over the coming weeks and I hope you go on to have a happy ending soon.

becks5109 · 02/06/2006 17:42

So sorry to hear that MOM - take it easy and be kind to yourself.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. I woke up feeling really sicky and sorry for myself today and couldn't face going to work. DD stayed at my mums last night and is staying there again tonight. I've slept alot today but the icky feeling just comes and goes. Also still have some brown spotting so trying not to worry too much. Am determined to have a night out with OH tonight while we have the chance. Hope all all have good sunny weekends.

LadyTophamHatt · 02/06/2006 17:55

Had my MW booking in appt today.
She came to my house to do it....how weird is that then???
I always get low BP in pregnancy and she was shocked to see it at 84/40. That is low even for me at such an early stage so hope everything will be ok.
Everything all done and.... ....am going for another home birth.

Please GOD let it be another quick labour.

So sorry to hear that MOM. Hope you're OK and get some good news soon.

I'm still feeling exhausted and sick (not to mention eating continuously!) and had to wear my huge jeans to work today, so wore a baggy top with them to look less obvious. I haven't told everyone at work yet so trying to avoid maternity gear, despite needing it already. I can't sit down in my usual jeans so had to grin and bear it. I felt like I was wearing a big baggy clown outfit!Blush

Mom sending lots of love xx

Well after gettin over my spotting and aching and having had the early scan I have now convinced myself theres something else waiting to go wrong and have boked a private scan for tuesday (£50!) Havent had many symptons tiredness and slightly sore boobs but last few days haven't had these spoke to midwife who didn't seem to think anything wrong. DH said I didnt have many symptns when having DD but think with the m/c in feb and spotting with this one I am ging to keep worrying until I feel it move (then I'll be panicking how many times it moves a day!!) Let you know how we get on

2Happy · 02/06/2006 20:14

So sorry MOM. Will def miss you. :(

Nemo, glad dd is home again.

Fliberty, know what you mean about trousers being tight! Feel like I am being cut in half by most of mine. Do you get bigger quicker after the first?

LTH, My last booking in appt was at home too. Was fine except that when she took my blood she spilt some on the carpet and it would not come out. The mark is still there!

jessddibs · 03/06/2006 16:54

With it being half term I havn't had time to check in.....so,so,sorry to hear all the sad news. Thoughts with mom and mitch, and to be honest everyone one of us.

My hormones are raging at the momentAngry feel like i have extreme pms the whole time! Still having pains here and there...but have been suffering from (wind) so am hoping it's that! Have a private scan booked for wed, feeling very nervous, just want to get it done now!

Roll on the 2nd trimester...then it will be back to the moaning again come the third!

trinityrhino · 03/06/2006 17:07

more hugs for mom and mitch

I also feel like have permanent pms at the moe, it sucks, I don't like being so cross and short-tempered

flibertygibbet · 03/06/2006 18:45

Dragonhart, I'm so glad it's not just me! I was in maternity jeans at 8 weeks the last time so I was ready for it but this time I'm not planning to tell everyone at work until after my 12 week scan. I've found that my stomach muscles have just relaxed completely and so I'm already a completely different shape! I suspect it's worse because it's all been stretched before.

I know two people also pregnant at the moment and one is still very slim after her first DD and isn't even sick Envy and the other is tiny and having her third after a gap of 10 years and she is skinny as ever too!

I put 4 stone on while I was pregnant the first time and I'm still carrying 1 1/2 stones of it Blush. Seriously hoping that doesn't happen again!

2Happy · 04/06/2006 09:00

Hmm, getting worried here. Been on my own all weekend, and ds has been lovely, but it's been hard to properly play with him while feeling sick and tired. It made me think about when this baby is born - what's it going to be like? With ds, I could sleep when he slept, and it didn't matter if I was reduced to a shambling monosyllabic hedgehog in pyjamas. But this time around, I'll have to keep up some semblence of coping for ds. So, come on, Mums of 2 or more - tips please! Smile

trinityrhino · 04/06/2006 09:53

oh 2 happy you have just spoken ALL my fears, I'm cooking no.3 at the mo and worried about looking after dd2 and a newborn. when I had dd2 dd1 was already 5 so more of a help then anything else. when the baby slept we snuggled on the couch with a vid on and I slept and she watched the vid.

terrified about how to cope this time as dd2 will only be 19 months ish, getting s dating scan on tuesday to find out properly.

please give us tips pleeeeeeeaaasseeeeGrin

LadyTophamHatt · 04/06/2006 12:31

the one thing you don't do is fall asleep on the sofa 20 mintues befroe you need to pick the older one up from nursery!

I did and woke up 10 after I was meant to pick ds2 up.....Ds3 was asleep in the cot, I opened my eyes and have never moved so fast in all my life!!

Seriously now, you just have a little snooze when the older one is having a nap, even 15 minutes will make you feel better.

trinityrhino · 04/06/2006 14:57

godness me, I hope I don't spend the whole pregnancy feeling this scared.

I'm hoping that once I find out how far along I am, I'll just get pragmatic about the whole thing and just start getting organised

ish me luck with that Grin

Dragonhart · 04/06/2006 15:35

Not feeling too bad today. Perhaps on the up in terms of sickness (fingers crossed). Went to a wedding reception last night and managed to eat loads of the buffet! Read a web page which said that 9 weeks is normally the peak of sickness and then it gets better after that so hopefully that is true. It also said that acupuncture helps but one lady said that they left a needle in her and she had to press it when she felt sick. I dont really like the idea of needles stuck in you so the idea of leaving one in doesn't appeal!

2 happy and trinity, feeling exactly the same. Suppose that you are bound to feel that way but with having mine quite close feel worried about ds1. Sorry cant rem how old yours are Blush

2 happy, know it was ages ago that you mentioned it but think that the idea of a stats page sounds really good. Would help my pg brain and save time trawling through the posts!

What would we have to do/what info would you need.

lulu25 · 04/06/2006 17:59

Sorry to hear sad news below.

Reading Gowri Motha's Gentle Birth method and not sure whether I should take it seriously (have just had lunch consisting of mango and chocolate banana cake, so message obv hasn't sunk in yet). Any more experienced ladies on here who swear by it?

2Happy · 04/06/2006 18:12

Dragonhart, been talking to the Junie who runs our 05 one. She says "2Happy - I think the kind of stats you want at this stage are more to do with who everyone is, age and what kids they already possess. We just had a separate thread for that kind of info (here's our Junie stats thread , \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=2290&threadid=54806&stamp=050412201318\junie stats}nostalgia-watchers!)" The other link I posted a bit ago was a post-natal kind of page which showed who had what and when. So should we start a thread like that?

neolara · 04/06/2006 18:52

Excellent idea to start a stats thread. I keep forgetting who people are. Preg-head brain.....!

2Happy · 04/06/2006 20:23

Alright then, \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?rn=78011&topicid=2290&threadid=179648&redir=78011\here it is!}

Dragonhart · 04/06/2006 21:49

Nice one 2Happy! Have posted already. xxx
