Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Poor DS, something :(

tired I went for the lovely Knuffi with the green Tshirt. DS wanted us to buy the two tone Ricky bear but to appease him we asked him to name the bear and it's going to be Snuggly Bear (or Snuggy, I can't remember), which will go quite well with his Soggy Bear.

(And in case I haven't explained to you lot why it's called Soggy, it's because DS used to suck its ear when he was a baby!)

I've done some sorting today but not as much as I wanted, but I then moved onto going through the last few boxes of my childhood toys and primary school work that my parents gave to me when they solds their house. Memories!! DH is a bit Hmm that I'm keeping all the immaculately boxed Sindys I had, but I can't possibly get rid of them until MiniWing has had a chance to play with them Grin

Right. Feet up and then I may head to the cafe before for cake before I pick DS up if I can be bothered.

WingDefence · 20/03/2013 15:11

That reads like I may not be bothered to pick DS up from preschool! Shock Of course I meant if I can be bothered to go to the cafe! Brew

MrsBri · 20/03/2013 16:42

H ha...sorry, son, I need cake, so you'll have to stay there! :-)

Yay for the green t shirt teddy now known as snuggly bear, very cute.

StuckOnARollercoaster · 20/03/2013 17:49

Ooh catching up and I liked the green t-shirt one!!! Very cute

Another thumbs up for Isabella Oliver. I got quite a few bits on ebay and they are my smartest workwear. The other stuff that I like has been my jojo maman trousers and swimsuit. Have got a few mamas and papas bits but for the price I think the quality is poor. The H&M stuff I rate as similar quality than M&P but wins because the price is so low so I don't expect too much from it.

Well I'm on countdown - only 6 days left at work! Starting to feel tired so I'm glad there's not long left.

I think I have started having Braxton-Hicks contractions - my belly goes all tight and low level of pain (like really bad wind), which then causes the baby to kick and create! Its happened twice, but I'd read about it so I wasn't too freaked out and just think of it as a bit of practice for my body!

Now off to watch the video on FB!

WingDefence · 20/03/2013 18:15

Hi Stuck, glad you haven't got long left at work either!

I've been having BH for a few weeks but they aren't painful, apart from when I'm sitting down scrunched over so they may me stretch out to give MiniWing room (like yours is complaining about too)!

Which video are you going to watch?

Oh and I stand corrected on the new bear's name: it's Snuggle Bear apparently :)

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 20/03/2013 19:18

I get BH contractions very frequently - so often that I thought I was in early labour the other day Confused. I don't seem to be able to walk 10 paces without getting one. Plus whoever described them as 'painless tightenings' is a man LIED!

Glad you're finishing work soon Stuck, bet you're counting down the days.
Part of me feels like I'm on maternity leave as teaching has finished, but I've still got this research report to write up before I can put my PhD stuff 'down'. Really want I want to do is nest, eat cake and watch TV all day. Ho hum, not too long now I suppose...

Lovely to know Fern was the first she'd ever registered before Tired, I bet not many people can say that. The name we have chosen is not common, in our area, but it's not 'unusual' at all. 'Classic' hopefully.

DS is having a meltdown upstairs whilst putting his PJs on so I must go and intervene. Hope you all have a lovely relaxing evening.

StuckOnARollercoaster · 20/03/2013 20:02

Was trying to look at hooya's scan video but am in a hotel and it doesn't seem to be working on their WiFi so I'll have to wait till I get home...

Pineapple80 · 20/03/2013 20:25

Ooh thank u ladies for the birthday wishes! Grin

I had a lovely day, was at work but spend evening with DH, we got pizza and he had bought me cupcakes too. If only every day was like that!!

I have bought a few maternity basics for work, few stretchy work pencil skirts, a pair of black trousers. Funnily enough no tops as I've managed with stretch longer vests and cardi's over the top.

I also get braxton-hicks, nearly once a day if not every second day. Not painful but can def feel them when happening. Think I first got then 29 wks onwards?

Yay Something, great to hear Henry's registered Smile.

Hooya - ahh thanks. I know things will improve, it's just the waiting part and all this uncertainty with DH's work. I've always been impatient and hate not knowing what the future holds!! Uncertainty scares the hell out of me. It's silly I know!

Hope u all have a great day x

Pineapple80 · 20/03/2013 20:58

^ oops meant I started getting BH from 19wks onwards

MrsBri · 20/03/2013 21:01

I did wonder when you'd gained 2 weeks on me!! :-)

He he bloody iPhones!!

Had a hospital appointment today and did the GCT test for gest diabetes. The Dr did a quick scan too which I wasn't expecting to check on the uterine doppler flow - apparently all looks good and growth on track, we're really pleased. Was really nice to have another glimpse at baby Pineapple! Looking so much bigger Smile

somethingwittynot · 21/03/2013 09:05

well i.booked the appointment online got the register office and there was no record on the system!
luckily i screen shotted the confirmation so i wouldnt forget the time and showed them that so they fitted us in.

off to get the dressing changed and wound packed later nurse thinks were on the home straight though. then were going to get henry weighed and speak to hv about reflix and development

tiredteddy · 21/03/2013 13:02

Ive had some bad news about my mum. Sad Been really upset and tearful. She's been taken back into hospital as she's developed a really nasty infection in her wound for her Breast surgery. They are going to have to remove her implant. I can't imagine how she feels. She will be left with her empty breast for a minimum of three months while they ensure the infection has gone before the try again with a new implant. I'm so scared about her having another operation. And what if its worse on the inside than what they can see? There's nothing I can do except talk and text her and dad. I can't talk to anyone about it as no one knows, they are very private people. I have to keep a brave face on for the boys and I just feel really snappy and anxious SadSadSad

Rockchick1984 · 21/03/2013 13:24

Oh, Tired I hope she is ok. Sending lots of positive energy your way.

WingDefence · 21/03/2013 13:52

Oh no tired :(

Hopefully once this is all sorted she will be able to have another implant and it will all be back to the way it was before. At least they have identified the infection now so they can treat it quickly?

What is it with wound infections at the moment - your mum and something too :(

Thanks and Biscuit (and Wine?!) for your mum.

Kittenkatzen · 21/03/2013 16:39

Oh no tired big hugs for you, how has your mum taken the news? As wing says hopefully they can whip out the implant, treat the infection and plonk in a new implant before you know it. ThanksThanks for you and for your mum.

something how annoying about the registry office but glad you were fitted in. All official now! Smile

tiredteddy · 21/03/2013 16:43

Thanks Wing, and Kitten. She sounds tearful. She's saying all the right things and being brave but deep down I think she's very scared. Unfortunately she will have to wait a minimum of three months before they try a new implant so will have a long time with only one normal breast. Sad

MrsBri · 21/03/2013 18:00

Your poor mum, tired.

I hope the operation is straightforward for her and everything resolves itself sooner rather than later. xx

ChildOfThe1980s · 21/03/2013 18:10

Thinking of your Mum, Tired. Hope she'll be ok.

Wing, I think that Baby will get DS a present, if I can be organised enough. I have recently bought the Ina May childbirth book too. It is quite interesting. I also got a hypnotherapy for birth CD, which I haven't tried yet.

I haven't had any BH and I'm 30 weeks. Hmm.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 21/03/2013 19:31

Tired, sorry to hear about your Mum. Hope the operation is as stressfree as possible and she's 'ok' about having to wait so long for a replacement implant. Thanks for her.

Hurrah for Henry being a 'real' person now something...and a chunky one at that, what fabby weight gain!

Hurrah for Snuggle Bear finding a home too.
Am I just a crazy person, or does anyone else feel like a bastard when putting cuddlies/toys with faces away in boxes?

DS was weighed today, 15months & 24lbs....oh, and he's broken the tv. Grrrh.

WingDefence · 21/03/2013 19:44

Child, I've only got half way through the birth stories. They are... interesting!

I may skip them and head to Part II then go back to them if I have time :)

Gary, Snuggle Bear arrived today and is as lovely as in the picture. She(?) will be sleeping with me from now until MiniWing is born and then go into her Moses basket (probably right down the foot end- I think that's what we did with DS's bear).

I'm in a foul mood with DH tonight. Can't be bothered to go into why though!

Looking forward to the Home Delivery programme on ITV tonight at 9pm though! You must all watch it (I'll put a reminder on FB too)!

tiredteddy · 21/03/2013 20:13

Wing I love that bear. Ds1 has a very old tatty polar bear from mamas and papas called Sunuggles. He's very well loved. Ds2 has a Zutano Zoo Crew baby blanket known as At-it also dirty and frayed and very well loved. The boys chose this for Fern,

www.petalinadolls.co.uk/dolls/organic-nickibaby-pink-stripes-by-kathe-kruse.htm

They've named it Annie, I'm yet to decide whether she actually likes it or not Wink it is sweet though.

Pineapple80 · 21/03/2013 20:22

Thinking of you and your Mum tired. Must be a really difficult time and she is so lucky to have you there for her. I hope the op goes well and things progress positively from there. Big hugs to you Thanks...

somethingwittynot · 21/03/2013 20:37
