Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Hi everyone, quick check in. I'm back home for now. Contractions are erratic, baby is back to back which is why it hurts so much! 22 hours now with no respite and hoping for a little snooze if the DCs let me. Hoping there won't be much more than 24 hours of this but apparently back to back labours are notoriously long and uncomfortable. Wish me luck....

Kittenkatzen · 24/07/2013 18:41

come on little acrobat, and twizzle round if you don't mind too Grin

GBT fx things kick off you very soon as well - this weekend maybe?!

andie hope the nausea isn't too bad for you, dry heaving is nobody's idea of fun.

Hope everyone else is doing ok too!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 25/07/2013 12:09

Andie, I've just seen your babyname thread! Woah.
I love Luna (it's the name of one of our bunnies!) but the Luna-tic nickname might put me off it for a person, and I like Arya.
Flynn goes well with your other DC's names (so annoyed that Logan got so popular, would've loved to use it!).

If it makes you feel any better my DS's name is apparently very 'Gay hairdresser/toff'.

Still waving my pompoms for you waves!

Nothing much going on here, my mum thought I'd go into labour today so have 12 hours to prove her wrong. Although, hopefully, I'm next after waves!
Just had some old skool JS with DH, and ewww! my lady cavern feels different (never had sex at this stage of pg with DS).

AndieDisestablishment · 25/07/2013 14:17

Gary Is it Tarquin? Wink Yeah, DSS was born the year Logan became massively popular. DP is qiute proud of that fact but I like to make sure the names I pick are well out of the top 20 for the year before.lol. Hope all is well.

Waves Try hula hooping to encourage baby round.lol Seriously though, I hope he turns and you have as pleasant a labour as possible.

Kitten Nausea isn't too bad thankfully, mostly in the evening so at least I'm not heaving at patients.

cookielove · 25/07/2013 17:08

andie dh and I love Arya, GoT popularity ruined any chance of me getting that. As dh is funny about names from shows.

Hello all Smile

Kittenkatzen · 25/07/2013 18:22

ShockShockShock at your name thread *andie...do people seriously have that little social grace in real life too?! So bloody rude.

Fwiw I personally love Arya, and quite like Luna. The looney/lunatic thing would bother me as I think that's an easy playground tease. But all those comments about oh Arya reminds me of Aryan nation - really??! I'd seriously hope that by the time anyone was old enough to even understand what that meant they'd be well past the teasing others for their names stage Hmm

Sorry for the rant, those threads annoy me sometimes - there's just no need for the nastiness. And I'm a bit hormonal and grumpy today!

AndieDisestablishment · 26/07/2013 12:23

Cookie DP named his eldest Logan after Wolverine so pop culture references aren't a problem in our house (and he likes Flynn because its the main character in Tron.lol)

Kitten I know, would they great a stranger with "Your name is AWFUL" or "you named your child WHAT?!" Bet they've all got really middle of the road names. Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 26/07/2013 14:20

cookie WOO HOO for BFP! So excited for you.
And, since it's been ages since I posted here, and I can't remember if I said before...
andie WOO HOO for BFP for you too!

Am having my 16wk check on Monday - first time to hear hb, which I'm looking forward to. Trying to find mat clothes that aren't black/gray/navy. Not so easy. Why must we be frumpy-bumpy ladies? I want COLOUR!

wavesandsmiles · 26/07/2013 14:34

I have not seen your name thread Andie - have some people been a bit rude? My DCs have unusual names, and only a couple of people have been rude about DS's name (and that was a lady at church Confused) DS is an Elijah, and DD is a Tallys-Faith (sounds like Alice). DD's name is inspired by a character in a random book, but I changed the spelling so that the l's can loop into the y which I think looks prettier.

Mini-waves is still inside, but things certainly seem to be progressing. Fingers crossed he is here by the end of the weekend at least! And that is probably also why my post is a bit rambly but full on contractions happening (together with discharge and possible hind water leakage)

cookielove · 26/07/2013 14:49

Urgh sometimes i feel i am worry over nothing, so thought i would ask here.

I work in a day nursery, and we've just had a child diagnosed with chicken pox in my room, on the plus side she hasn't been in for over a week and the unplus side she is my key child so i spend a lot of time with her. I am sure i had CP as a child but its like the second i found out i was pregnant all my worries have gone into over drive!!

Waves I love Elijah and Tallys-Faith is very very pretty Smile

All the names me and dh like get a funny face from people we tell Confused

AndieDisestablishment · 26/07/2013 14:58

Cookie You can always go to your GP and ask for a blood test to check your immunity. I had to have immunity tests before I started my job so they knew what jabs to give me (and worryingly one was an MMR two months before conception).

Waves People have proclaimed the names of my existing DCs and DSSs as "awful" but then, this is MN so they probably all agree with Katie Hopkins.lol. Hope things progress well for you. Exciting! Those are nice names but I am very non-conformist so you'd probably get the same level of bitchiness that's been directed at me.lol

Humpty Good luck for Monday. :) Have you tried New Look, Peacocks and Next for maternity wear? They'll be coming to the end of the spring/summer stuff so may still have some colourful stuff in.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 26/07/2013 15:29

waves oooh, pom poms for mini wave popping out to say hello over the weekend (cos that is what birth is like, right? Hmm)

andie did you use the MN 'did you mean to be so rude?' on them?
Re mat wear, I didn't fancy much of Next or New Look's stuff, but excellent tip on Peacocks, thank you. I love their stuff normally, it really lasts too. I will have a browse while I am meant to be working.

cookie fx you are immune. How worrying, you poor thing. I know the worry overdrive all too well!

AndieDisestablishment · 26/07/2013 15:44

No Humpty I missed a trick there.lol. I got some nice plain essential tops when pg with DS from Peacocks, they do two packs, mine were fuchsia and bright blue and lasted me two pregnancies along with a pair of linen trousers but I have since sent them to charity. D'oh!

MrsAVB · 26/07/2013 17:46

It's the weekend!
humpty they also have mat jeans in bright colours in the sale in mothercare at the moment. Although its not really jeans weather at the mo.
cookie I wouldn't worry tooooo much about chicken pox if you've had it already normally but since you work with kids, like andi said I'd probably get my immunity checked.
waves good luck!
I'm waiting for my train home and someone is SMOKING on the platform. Don't they know its banned? And rude to do right next to a preggo. Then when I moved someone next to me decided to spray their hair with about a whole can of hairspray. COCKWOMBLES....

Kittenkatzen · 26/07/2013 18:11

humpty H&M is your friend for colourful clothes, I have a fab and comfy pair of bright pink skinny jeans from there :) also new look is pretty good too especially online. I found next a bit rubbish though - the sizes were all off and everything just seems to come up baggy.

waves isn't Elijah a biblical name? What was church lady's problem with it?! Confused And I think Tallys is beautiful and would totally be stealing it if we isn't already have an Alice in the family!

cookie DH and I stopped telling people names we liked for that exact reason! I had my dad screw up his nose at one, my best friend laugh in my face at another and my mum follow up every suggestion with "but what about keiran?". Helpful, not!

Oh and GrinGrin at "cockwombles" - will be adding that to my insult repertoire!

cookielove · 26/07/2013 19:01

I phoned the doc and they said if I have definitely had it as a child I will be immune! ! I'm pretty sure I did.

Hooya · 27/07/2013 09:35

Hello! Can't even remember if I've said congrats to cookie!

Andie I saw your thread and it convinced me not to even bother sharing our likely name - we will be accused of all sorts! I love your DC names - can I go on there and tell them to fuck off or is that just not helpful?! I love Luna personally. And DP wants Logan too though I think we've settled on a name Grin

GBT laughing about your lady cavern experience! It is different isn't it! Though (look away if you don't want TMI) have you tried the other entrance during pg? We have found it rather enjoyable! Though at nearly 33 weeks with a very active baby in there, all JSing is getting pretty odd!

MrsAVB I would have told the smokers to stop trying to reduce my baby's birthweight but then I am a very rude person

Here, my baby is lying really far forward so I can properly feel his back (I think) leaning against me at the front! It's quite freaky but kind of lovely too!

Working today, so bored, hope everyone else has more fun weekend plans!

frogchops · 27/07/2013 15:35

Haven't been on this thread in a while....
I lost it to be honest but then remembered that I can find it in the jsing thread. Yes I still go on tht one, mainly because I'm nosey at the new bfps!
Who's next to pop in here now?

wavesandsmiles · 28/07/2013 06:50

Hello :-) Caspian Nicholas John was born yesterday at 1707 weighing 7lb 3. I'm so happy! Will update with our birth story when I can tear myself away from him....

Rockchick1984 · 28/07/2013 07:33

Congratulations Waves!!!! Absolutely made up he's here, can't wait to see a pic and hear your birth story!!! Thanks

cookielove · 28/07/2013 08:26

Congratulations waves Grin

frogchops · 28/07/2013 09:01

Oh I guess that answers my question!! Congrats waves! Can't wait for pictures!

MrsAVB · 28/07/2013 09:11

Ooh... Congrats waves! Xxx

thethreeblondies · 28/07/2013 11:40

StuckOnARollercoaster · 28/07/2013 12:07

Been keeping a loose eye on the thread to see when waves finally has her little one!
Congratulations waves and Caspian (beautiful name), and what a good weight to say you've been throwing upfor most of your pg. All the best for the future and I hope it settles down now and you can be a happy family xxx
