Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Congratulations MrsBri lovely news, enjoy those newborn cuddles xxx

Guess we all move up the queue a bit more Grin

At what point did u all start buying/washing getting organised? I feel like I'm neglecting bump a bit, have all furniture, mostly in loft but we are doing a loft conversion and will move kids rooms round and redecorate probably once babies here. Know where all the newborn clothes are, recently sorted so just need freshening, need to buy pram/car seat, need to buy nappies breast pads etc but can't think of anything else! Too laid back or expected as it's DC3? Smile

MrsAVB · 24/06/2013 17:27

mrsB congrats! I love the name Amy, reminds me of Little Women, my favourite book from childhood.
And rock, lovely to see you here and a very tentative congrats.
12 week scan on Friday was amazing, it was incredible how much they could see and measure. Everything is "normal" and EDD has been moved forward to 01/01! Gulp!
X

wavesandsmiles · 24/06/2013 17:59

Brilliant news on the scan Mrs AVB - it sounds like you really enjoyed it. Always nice when the EDD gets moved forwards a little.

I'm 35 week tomorrow, which means only 15 days until I reach full term....

I think I am pretty much organised now in terms of getting things ready for the arrival, although I have some baby clothes to wash, and want to sort out some music to have on during labour. Main priority is getting through the next few weeks without regressing weight-wise, and also managing the 7(!!!) gigs I managed to say "yes" to over recent weeks and months. Ok, and days. I agreed to 3 extra gigs in the past week alone. No idea why, other than my pregnant brain telling me it will be easier to play with baby inside me, than out.

Hope you get home soon with Amy, MrsBri

Pineapple80 · 24/06/2013 22:28

Congrats MrsBri!! Welcome baby Amy!! Well done you Smile.

And you ended up with EMCS like me too, hope you are recovering well. My recovery has gone well and hope yours too - my advice is to make sure you take the pain killers that they offer you! It def does help with recovery and also when bf (if u plan to).

Take care and can't wait to see photos!!!

Rockchick1984 · 25/06/2013 08:14

Congratulations MrsBri can't believe BabyBri is a girl!!! Made up for you, hope you're feeling ok Thanks

MrsAVB so glad your scan went well! Secon trimester is easiest, enjoy it.

Waves you're mad to be agreeing to do so much, but full credit to you, you're a very strong individual so I know you will be fine.

Thanks Kitten DS is a cheeky monkey but generally he's usually happy and smiley except when throwing a tantrum

BFP getting stronger, starting to maybe believe it...

Pineapple80 · 25/06/2013 08:49

Welcome back Rock, so pleased to see you Smile x

Pineapple80 · 25/06/2013 08:53

Waves - wow you're 35 wks already, almost there! And such a hard worker with gigs still booked till now! I worked till almost 38 wks myself & found it fine actually but can imagine with your sickness that it may be more challenging. Hope all goes well & so good to hear scan went well & ur DCs enjoyed it!

MrsBri - you will have to join us at Just Mumming thread when you are ready Smile. I'm going to float between here n there for now!

frogchops · 25/06/2013 10:31

More positive congrats rock!
There's been another lovely bfp on the shaggers thread this morning, so hopefully she'll make her way here soon. Seems like only yesterday I was making the tentative move over here!!
Mrs bri, Amy is just beautiful, Thanks

Hooya · 25/06/2013 12:52

Woohoo congrats MrsBri she is just adorable! Grin

Rock glad you're still around! And another joining us soon, brilliant!

MrsAVB fab re scan, it's very special isn't it?

I am getting tired and heavy feelings now, and will sleep for 14 hours per day if left to it. Not ideal!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 25/06/2013 14:28

Still lurking!
MrsBri congrats! Also to all the others who have recently popped - I've just read your news, and instantly forgotten who the news was attached to. Very cool though, so many JS babies! I am loving the names as well - so pretty!

rock so delighted (very tentatively) for you - massive luck for a sticky sticky bean.

My 12 week scan is a week today, I am alternately terrified, hysterically excited, and weepy about it. Have booked time off work, but have to teach that evening after it, which I'd much rather not do, but hum ho. Please may I have a few crossed fingers for everything being okay - I managed to resist private scans all the way to now and I'm on the point of caving every other minute - I am not what one might call patient.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 25/06/2013 15:48

Congrats again MrsBri! Hope you've been allowed home.

blondies, we've got a car seat & a few slings (all were on offer at the time of purchase) but not really doing anything else until the end of next month (due early August), partly I know we've got most things..partly I don't want to jinx things!

MrsAVB, glad scan went well....and being moved forward to NYD!

Sending positive can-do vibes to you waves, really hope your body stands up to the gigs without too much protesting.

Rock, can I wave little pompoms? Do you know if they'll be lovely at the Drs/EPU and let you have an early scan or are you waiting a few more weeks before contacting them?

Humpty, positive vibes & crossed fingers for you. Hope everything is perfect. x

33wks here!

frogchops · 25/06/2013 22:58

Just wondering.... Was there a point (all 28 week +ers) that u would go out and within 5 minutes have to sit due to horrible low back pain. It happens most times I go out now...and I'm trying to figure out what's normal!

MrsBri · 26/06/2013 15:54

Hello...shite reception has meant radio silence from me :-/

Now I've been discharged I will have to catch up and respond to everyone. :-)

Can I just say how surreal it is to be taking a baby home?!

Kittenkatzen · 28/06/2013 08:47

Just marking place to catch up later as you'd all dropped off my threads list

Kittenkatzen · 28/06/2013 11:11

Back for a quick catch up....

hooya yy to the return of the tiredness - I'm not utterly exhausted like in the first tri, but I'm definitely tiring much quicker these days, and the 5.45am starts are starting to be hard work now!

humpty have got all my fingers and toes crossed for you for next week - not that you'll need it as I'm sure everything will be fine! :)

GBT I'm always surprised when you mention how many weeks you are - for some reason I'm convinced you're much further ahead of me than 4 weeks!

frog I am definitely getting the back pain issues....not limited to standing though - I seem to have to swap between standing and sitting every half hour in order to keep comfortable!

Had GTT yesterday, hopefully should get a call back with results at some point this afternoon....

frogchops · 28/06/2013 20:54

My back it is bits kitten....I can't seem to get comfortable standing, sitting, lying is making me miserable.
ION its payday so I've been buying expensive unecessary blankets againtreating the boy to some nice things!
Am off on my hols to Cornwall next week, although am dreading walking too much :-/

frogchops · 28/06/2013 22:20

Another bfp on the jsing thread....how exciting!

floatyflo · 28/06/2013 22:37

Hiiii

I joined the jsing thread Sunday just gone and have already graduated with a bfpGrin

EDD 6th March

All happened so quickly!

Kittenkatzen · 29/06/2013 07:15

Yay, newbies! Welcome floaty, congrats on the super quick bfp!! And Shock at your March EDD - where is this year going?!

frog you'll have to invest in one of those fold up camping stool things o carry with you walks so you can take little sitting breaks when you need to....either that or a zimmerframe GrinWink

Kittenkatzen · 29/06/2013 07:16

Er...sorry for the fat fingered typing frog, hope you managed to translate!!

wavesandsmiles · 29/06/2013 07:21

Welcome to the new grads Smile

Sorry to hear about back pain for those of you suffering. this far I've only had the hideous HG to deal with, although I reckon that is a bad enough curse in itself.

I actually got a decent nights sleep last night which was amazing. Loads of BH contractions these days - and it is only 1 week and 3 days til I reach full term, with just over 4 weeks to my due date. I do sort of wish I knew when he will be putting in an appearance as it would make childcare arrangements in particular so much easier.

Hoping you all have lovely weekend plans

frogchops · 29/06/2013 09:38

Thanks for the Zimmer suggestion kitten Blush
Cannot believe the march Edds...,it seems ages away! Was just saying to DP tho that altho weeks 5-13 went so slowly, its flying by now! I never believed in the early days that weeks could go so quickly an its true that the tww in comparison is a real drag! Also, back then I was planning all sorts for late August....who am I kidding!Blush

MrsAVB · 29/06/2013 11:43

Welcome and congrats flo! Can't believe there are are march EDDs already, I still feel like a newby!

Hooya · 30/06/2013 23:37

Hello Flo and welcome! Congrats Grin

Frog sorry about back pain, hope you take it easy as much as possible in Cornwall.

Wow kitten 5.45am is an early start! Though I seem to be waking at 4 or 5am most days and not able to sleep again... fine until the late afternoon when I start to crash!

And the glamour - I had to get up at 4.30 this morning with wind - burping so much it was beyond a joke and waking DP up Blush

All was good at my 28 week scan, though baby is still hiding behind a big bit of placenta so the 4D scan makes him look kind of deformed (doc assures us he is not, it's just a shadow from the placenta!). He's measuring big for dates too with a nice fat belly Smile

8 weeks left at work to try to do my handover - I keep opening my handover files then closing them again at a loss as to where to start...

GaryBuseysTeeth · 01/07/2013 10:35

Welcome & Congrats Flo!!

frog, I have the backpain thing! DH looks a bit panicked when I go 'Ooof' and have to sit down quickly. I do like the idea of those walking sticks with the little seat attached Kitten.

Kitten, what was your GTT result?
Taking out the 2 weeks inbetween where I wasn't pg (but felt just as shit so I'm counting it!), with the 6wk MC & then this pg straight after I've been mostly pregnant since Mid-Sept so it feels like an absolute age for me! I forgotten what normal feels like.

MrsBri, how are things now you're home?
With DS I kept on waking up at night thinking 'wtf is making that noise!?'...oh yeah that baby. Wait, OUR baby.

waves, glad you got a decent nights sleep. Have been lurking on your thread (can't remember if I've posted recently) and you're so bloody amazing! cannot believe how close you are to meeting acrobat!

Slept on the sofa again last night, fell asleep with the tv remote under my belly so I have a fantastic welty imprint. Blush

Hope everyone has a great week!
