Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Good luck child! And congrats frustrated!
Today, for the first time, I think I look fat preggo! Normally my fat is concentrated on my hips but it seems to have migrated to my tummy. I know it's too early to be showing but still feels a bit nice, and a bit not nice fat
Anti- sickness meds seem to be partly working, vom count has halved, but making me really tired and fuzzy headed. Ho hum...
Hope everyone else is well...
X

Kittenkatzen · 04/06/2013 18:46

No news from child yet? Hope it's because she's far too busy having lovely newborn snuggles by now Grin

frogchops · 05/06/2013 07:39

Suspiciously quiet in the child corner. There has to be news surely?

Kittenkatzen · 06/06/2013 13:38

So there was I just now, sat on a bench outside the cathedral in the sunshine deciding what to have for lunch....a passing pigeon catches my eye, I look down and.....OMFG WHERE HAVE MY ANKLES GONE?!?!?!?!!! I've never had cankles in my life

How is everyone else? Still no news from child?

tiredteddy · 06/06/2013 13:46

Kitten have a peek on FB page for news Wink

StuckOnARollercoaster · 06/06/2013 14:02

Kitten - I feel your shame, even my 'pretty' flip flops look ridiculous... Midwife appointment to day and I had to apologise that my only question (at 39+5!) was vanity related and how the hell do I reduce the puffiness... Apparently raised higher than the heart as much as possible and weirdly to keep drinking water even more.

Fantastic news on FB! Another snuggly arrival Grin

Off for some acupuncture now to chivvy along babyStuck. Baby is fully engaged and my bump has fallen back to 37 week size. Mum has arrived from Poland now and house is in a semblance of order so I am ready... Not that it means baby will be cooperative but my fingers are crossed...

Hooya · 06/06/2013 22:44

Hooray for new arrival!

MrsAVB I remember that phase - when I started to look different but not sure if it was clear I was upduffed or just too many pies turns out it's both Grin glad the meds are working a bit and here's hoping that sicky phase is over soon!

Kitten ooh Mexico! Slightly more exciting than our trip to freezing Canada... GBT I know what you mean about committing, I think if we book it we'll go for flex flights, and then cancel if we get a really grumpy baby Smile but I have heard a 3-month old will be easier than a toddler.

Stuck you next then? Good luck!

Baby has started kicking in a really serious way now. I'm worried he wants to get out!!

Kittenkatzen · 06/06/2013 23:29

Yeah I've definitely not been drinking enough water stuck, will try harder tomorrow! Thankfully not at the uncomfortable stage yet!

hooya your talk of baby trying to get out just reminded me of a super cute conversation with my 3yo niece at the weekend - she kept coming over to me asking "auntie kitten please can you take take the baby out of your tummy, I want to see it....just for a minute?!" Bless Grin

notsoold · 07/06/2013 10:30

Kitten...that is so cute!!!!

I just came back from 20 week scan... All is well and I only got a blurry photo as baby was wriggling away....we are going to have a boy!!!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 07/06/2013 11:07

notso!! Congratulations on the blurry boy! Grin

Kitten, that's so cute! My cankles come & go atm, today I have lovely looking legs (can't use them atm because of bastard SPD!).

Glad pills seem to be working MrsAVB, hope you're feeling much better soon.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, Stuck I'll start pompom waving for you now!

Pineapple80 · 07/06/2013 12:21

Congrats Child Smile!!

Notso - a boy, what wonderful news! Glad your scan went well!

Kitten - he he that is sooo cute Smile

Stuck - looks like you're next!! How are you feeling?

MrsAVB - good to hear meds are working a bit!

MrsBri - how are you?

How is everyone else doing? Hope you're all well.

I had my last day at work today. It was good & they took me out for lunch which was lovely Smile. Really relieved that I can definitely get some rest now and not have to fight falling asleep at my desk at 3pm anymore Grin. If baby doesn't come earlier I'm due to go in for my induction next Friday! It's all booked in and saw my Obstetrician yesterday & all is looking well. Have been having monitoring (CTG, uterine dopplers & water levels) weekly for the past 6 wks to keep an eye on baby due to being small for dates & very happy that all has been well so far. Can't believe we will probably meet our baby in a week!

wavesandsmiles · 07/06/2013 12:49

Congrats on the blue news notso

Pom Pom waving here for all the imminent arrivals. 3 due any day/week at the moment? So waving lots and lots especially for stuck and pineapple

32 + 3 here and hoping the next 7 ish weeks fly by so I can ditch my sick kit for a baby change bag, and actually enjoy eating for the first time since December

MrsBri · 07/06/2013 12:56

Hi Pineapple! I'm ready now...if Baby B could just take note! 38+1 today. Very jealous of your induction date, it has to be said. :-(

Kitten, that is so very cute!

Notso, great news re your little boy. Shame the scan picture is so blurry though :-(

Hi to everyone else.

StuckOnARollercoaster · 08/06/2013 13:38

A little boy sounds lovely notsoold - will you now be on the name threads trying to pick something or have you already got something in mind?

Thanks for pompoms Gary and Waves - will happily accept any positive vibes as I don't want to end up so late I have to be induced (today is due date!)

Kitten - very cute, am looking forward to the little kid part much more than the baby part. Although I did go to a sling meet yesterday and it's the first time I've ever seen much of any babies and it did make me feel more excited about meeting babyStuck.

Looks like it's me, Mrs bri and if we don't get a move on pineapple will be there first with her definite date. How are the rest of you ladies feeling? I feel completely normal, no twinges or feeling that anything is going to happen imminently. Going to take MIL out for birthday icecream this afternoon so its a prime opportunity for an embarrassing breaking of waters with all the family in a busy public place - maybe that will work!

MrsBri · 08/06/2013 13:56

Stuck, I've had two evenings with really quite painful BH, but otherwise no sign at all of an impending arrival from Baby B :-/

Only 15% of labours start with waters breaking, so I hope you're not one of those while you're out and about! And apparently you don't have to have a show, either, as this can happen during labour. So I'm just sitting here waiting for regular, painful contractions to start. Sigh!

I need to go and get a father's day card for my dad at some point, which all seems like so much effort, but the choice online for a normal card, which isn't personalised, is rubbish.

I also don't know what to do about DH. Do I get a card for him or not? If I don't, baby will come and if I do then clearly I'll be sitting here til July! :-/ Maybe I shouldn't in that case, ha ha!

How is everyone else today?

OP posts:
Pineapple80 · 09/06/2013 11:13

Hi ladies!

Stuck, hope you had a nice day out with family yesterday. And MrsBri, hoping you're feeling well. Sending you both lots of positive labour vibes!

It's a bank holiday weekend over here & I'm having a relaxing Sun night at home. Just did the weekly grocery shop and stocked up on things so it'll all last a few weeks after baby arrives. Our freezer is quite full, did some cooking last week and hope it helps in the coming weeks!

I'm feeling fine, bump is getting bigger and noticed some stretch marks today :-(, inevitable really, as I'm susceptible to them as I got them going thru puberty years ago!! Baby Pineapple is moving a lot tonight, sharp fanjo pains as a result, arghhh! Getting more and more BH too but never painful.... Friday is dawning on us so quickly, I am getting moments of anxiety, also excited to meet his little bub :-)

How is everyone this weekend? Hope you're all well x

Pineapple80 · 09/06/2013 11:22

MrsBri - I think it would be nice if you got DH a Father's Day card! Even if baby B doesn't come before then, it'd still be nice to do imo! Oz Father's Day isn't till Sept so will work out well for us. Grin

Kittenkatzen · 11/06/2013 07:38

Grin At encouraging the public breaking of waters stuck....maybe spending as much times as possible in supermarkets and shopping centres is the way forward!

mrsbri I have got a Father's Day card for DH which says dad-to-be or from the bump or something...he was so sweet getting me a Mother's Day card at only 15wks ish so I really wanted to do something. Have also seen a slightly twee cute photo frame that says daddy & me on it so might get him that too for the first photo of them both to go in Smile. And now I have a lump in my throat just thinking about it....good grief, hormones!!

pineapple is Friday your induction date?? ShockShock That came round sooo quick!!

MrsBri · 11/06/2013 07:49

If you're going for public water breaking, camp in Mothercare where you get free stuff out of it! :-)

We've not seen Stuck since, so maybe it worked?!

I may have to buy two cards for Sunday, one from bump and one from baby and then give whichever one is appropriate! Very difficult :-/ DH didn't get me a card for Mother's Day, but I'm sure he would have done if he'd realised bump cards existed. He did get me a big Dairy Milk with a message from bump though :-)

I'm going to have to take a very slow waddle into town, I think. At least it will kill a very long time as I'm soooooo slow these days. Very hard to get used to, it has to be said.

Pineapple, how are you doing now?

OP posts:
Pineapple80 · 11/06/2013 07:50

Kitten - aww how lovely is that card idea!! Very sweet!

OMG yes Friday is induction day. I'm a bit of an emotional mess today. It's my first day of "mat leave" as such and as silly as it sounds am feeling a bit lost. Mind you I did set up the new baby monitor & did some filing earlier. We had a lovely long weekend as it was a bank hol over here & got lots of rest and bits and pieces done. But come today...I have been just really teary, but have been tired as I didnt sleep too well and had a bit of a silly argument with DH earlier. Sigh!!! All is fine now but I think it is anxiety and nerves about Friday...mixed with wondering if I will cope as a new Mum etc. All apparently normal emotions but just want to relax and be happy. I guess I work on that tomorrow :-).

Stuck - hoping baby Stuck is making his/her way out into the world :)

Wondering how everyone is doing? Gone a bit quiet in this corner! Hopefully you're all well & taking care.

Kittenkatzen · 11/06/2013 08:06

Mmmmmm dairy milk.....would it be wrong to have dairy milk for breakfast do you think?!

Aww pineapple, here have some Thanks and Brew and put your feet up for half hour! Definitely all to be expected I think, it must be so nerve wracking having a definite date set like that! Do you feel prepared from a practical point of view? As long as you've got somewhere for baby to sleep, clothes for him/her to wear and milk of some kind then I'd say you've nothing to worry about - and I'm sure you'll cope more than fine once baby arrives Smile

mrsbri happy waddling - hope your waters break somewhere embarrassing (in the nicest possible way of course! Grin)

MrsBri · 11/06/2013 08:13

Awww, pineapple, I know how you feel. It's a bit of a roller coaster being this close to the end, isn't it? I'm still jealous you have a date though!

You will be fine, I'm sure :-) And silly arguments are par for the course when we are big and uncomfortable and a tad grumpy, plus hormonal! Nightmare combination when you think about it!

Kitten, it's always fine to eat Dairy Milk. I love the stuff.

I was wondering if I should wear some kind of absorbent protection if I'm going into town?! I haven't really considered the practicalities of waters breaking while I'm out. I do have stuff I need to do though. Hmmmm!

Maybe I'll stay here and DH can take me after dinner :-)

OP posts:
Pineapple80 · 11/06/2013 08:45

Thanks ladies, so glad to know you understand, feel like a monster sometimes but glad I can blame hormones and nerves! Smile

Speaking of absorbency MrsBri, I laughed too hard earlier (see I went from argument to laughter in 10mins!!) and peed myself a little. WTF?! Now that is funny and yuk all at the same time! GrinGrinGrin

Waving pom poms for you and Stuck!

MrsBri · 11/06/2013 09:03

Yeah, the stress incontinence thing is a touch grim. I've had a cold and hayfever which means sneezing has caused issues. If it wasn't for the fact we get a baby at the end of it, who would really do pregnancy?!

OP posts:
StuckOnARollercoaster · 11/06/2013 13:01

Pineapple - don't worry about the emotional outbursts I think it's normal. My boyfriend would probably be shocked if I didn't end up a blubbing mess every couple of days! And another yes to the odd dribble if I laugh too much or have an unexpected big sneeze.

Mrs Bri - I'm not wearing anything but I do have some spare towels with me in the car, and a change of clothes is in the hospital bag which also now lives in the boot of the car

Well I'm sat in the hospital waiting for a scan and sweep. Had reduced movements this morning so have gone to get it checked out. One consultant wanted me to be induced straightaway but following a chat with another one they are happy to hold off and monitor which keeps me under midwife care a little longer.
