Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Ooh Child best of luck!!

DD is 9.5 weeks and life is slowly getting easier... Low the weather and getting out for walks etc is great :)

GaryBuseysTeeth · 03/06/2013 12:04

Congrats Frustrated! Flowers
Hope being induced wasn't too scary & you're recovered well. x

for Child! Exciting times!!

Hooya, hope DH manages to work something out with work soon, and you find the right balance for you as a family.

waves, hope you manage a nice day out & school knackers your little Tigger out!

Whooping cough jab; I had it on friday & my arm is still very itchy & red...I take it that's normal? waves, I think it was you that suggested getting it done on the arm you don't lie on to sleep, thanks for the advice as I doubt I would've slept with it in the other arm!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/06/2013 12:57

mrsbri if it is cholestasis then piriton won't do anything. Keep bugging them.

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 13:08

I will, Frus, if she won't take blood today I will just have to go back to Ormskirk again. Hopefully she will though.

They've been good so far with anything which may be an issue, so fingers crossed.

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 15:41

Frus, they've re-done my bloods and will have them looked at later tonight for me. They will call me tomorrow with the results.

I wasn't going to let them not take them as the itching is bonkers!

Good news is that baby is now ceph, long and fixed, not free. She thinks about 3/5. Finally going in the right direction.

I'm so glad that my lightning crotch hasn't been all for nothing!

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/06/2013 16:02

Lightening crotch? Grin

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 16:05

Stabbing fanjo pain! :-/

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/06/2013 16:28

Grin I know it by a different name. I hope baby stays put and doesn't bounce back out (which is what babyfrus was doing)

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 16:32

Me too. I'm on my ball as we speak! :-)

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/06/2013 16:36

How many weeks are you now mrsbri?

ChildOfThe1980s · 03/06/2013 16:45

Good news about baby being engaged MrsBri :)

Nice that you can enjoy the weather Wing - it's been so nice to have sunshine for the last few days.

Thanks for the labour vibes and pom poms everyone. I have been in labour for over 24 hours, but the cx are still not regular enough to go to the hospital. They have been between 2 and 20 minutes all this time (mostly between 5 and 10 minutes) but that's not good enough. :( Miserable. I haven't got much sleep in that time, and wondering how I'm going to cope when I'm so tired.

MrsBri · 03/06/2013 16:53

I'm 37+4, Frus. Getting there.

Child, is baby back to back, as that can lead to a long latent labour? I hope something gets going soon. I'll keep waving my pom poms!

OP posts:
ChildOfThe1980s · 03/06/2013 17:18

No, it's not back to back MrsBri

By this time with my DS, I had had my waters broken and been put on a drip, and had him, so I don't actually know how long my natural labours would be. A bit worrying. Hopefully I am dilating. :/

tiredteddy · 03/06/2013 18:27

Hang on in there child. My fingers are crossed that it will ramp up a gear overnight and baby will be on its way very soon x

Kittenkatzen · 03/06/2013 19:00

Waving my pompoms here for you too child, hope it's not too much longer. I can offer you some wisdom from my daisy birthing class this week if you like - stay as upright as possible and circle your hips in a clockwise direction....obv I haven't tested the theory myself yet! "I rotate to dilate" apparently. Pretty sure the chanting is optional Grin

WingDefence · 03/06/2013 19:19

Child did you not actually go to the hospital then? If they have a triage system perhaps you could see if they'll examine you anyway to see what is happening? Or (ignore me if you don't want to do this obv) ring up, tell them you think your waters have broken and they'll probably tell you to go in and will examine you then?

Poor you - at least you know t hints are happening x

WingDefence · 03/06/2013 19:20

*things

thethreeblondies · 03/06/2013 20:07

Waving pom poms here for you too Child and I must say Kitten love "I rotate to dilate!" I did this kind of naturally on my birthing ball and now tell all my friends to grind away on the ball to bring that baby down!

Had my 20wk scan today, can't believe how well it's all going after the hardships last year! Baby was in great position and all looking lovely, we still couldn't agree on finding out versus having a surprise and lovely sonographer suggested writing it down for us and putting it in a sealed envelope! So know the knowledge is sitting in the cupboard Smile I may give it to DH as a father's day pressie as think he wants to know really!

notsoold · 03/06/2013 22:24

Good luck child!!!
Threeblondies...loved the idea about an envelope!!!

Hooya · 03/06/2013 23:14

Ooh good luck Child, you must be so tired! Hope all is well!

MrsBri hope they sort your itching! And welcome to night weeing - I have about 3x per night now, so annoying when you're knackered! I've been awake since 4am today, and Tuesdays are long days at work so I'm a bit Angry with preg insomnia!

three it is brilliant getting to the 20 week milestone isn't it, esp if you've had a previous mc - strange to look back now isn't it! Lovely idea about the envelope too Smile

Pineapple congrats on finishing work! It must be stressful but things will surely turn around soon re your DPs work.

GBT how's the arm?!

Thanks for all the good wishes re my DPs work plans - the idea would be we both take 3 months off together (which will be lovely) - I'm just worried about how stressful and unsettling it will be for both of us to then go back to work at the same time...

Separate q, anyone gone on a long trip with a young baby? We're trying to decide on Christmas plans and whether long-distance with a 3-month old is madness...

Kittenkatzen · 04/06/2013 06:32

Shock blondies I can't believe you're 20 wks already, time is flying! Lovely idea about the envelope and Father's Day.

Any other first timers planing on doing anything for Father's Day? DH got me a really sweet card for Mother's Day which he wrote "from the baby" so I want to do something for him to...

hooya boo to the preg insomnia, hope you manage not to murder anyone today!!

I'm also interested in hearing people's views on long distance travelling with babies as we were told yesterday that one of DHs best friends is getting married in Mexico in January.....

Kittenkatzen · 04/06/2013 06:36

....and we're keen to go if we can.

Don't know what happened to me last sentence there! Confused

Kittenkatzen · 04/06/2013 06:36

my last sentence

OMG

StuckOnARollercoaster · 04/06/2013 09:26

More pom pom waving for child!

I'll probably travel fairly quick with little one. We need to do some long day and overnight trips at end of June and July in the UK to sort out our rental property on other side of country.
Then in laws have got a camping trip (still UK) in September which we haven't committed to but hoping we can go to.
Lastly I want to go to my mum's in Europe, but exact dates are not fixed and will depend on baby and weather. We have decided though to go by car (24 hours normal but will probably have to double or triple that with the baby) rather than a flight for the first time. I suspect we won't wait too long to do a flight trip after that so we can get familiar with doing it with a little one.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 04/06/2013 11:52

blondies, hurrah for you good scan...and a lovely idea for DH!

DS has 'drawn' DH a picture for Fathers Day and he's got a few little presents, my MC EDD is coming up soon so I was hoping that a new child would've been the best Fathers Day present, stupid body.

Tbh, I think travelling with an under 6 month old would be easier than a 16 month old..aside from the ears popping & needing to bring four hundred changes of clothes for everyone, but I wouldn't commit to planning something that expensive/overwhelming just yet, incase you're not in a position to be able/or want to go.

hooya, hope you manage some sleep!

Arm is still red, angry & itchy but I'll phone MW's on Friday if it's still this bad.

mad waving for Child!
