Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Hi All! Nice to see you here Waves and glad you're feeling ok.

How are you feeling MrsBri?

And hope you're doing well Child Smile.

MrsAVB - please to hear of your milestone, hope u feel better soon as well.

Good to see you too Frog!

I am doing ok over here. Been SO hormonal. It seems 6pm when I get home from work is when I am most susceptible to being a total grump or teary mess! Poor DH is getting used to it Confused, poor thing. It only lasts a little while and then I feel ok. Sigh... I hope it's just a hormonal thing like others have said!

Other than that have started getting very mild cramps, bit like start of period pain. I googled it and apparently common in late pregnancy and not always sign of labour. Gosh Blush! I am not getting other symptoms other than the sharp cervical pain few times a day.

Hope everyone is well! Heard the weather was lovely over bank holiday weekend, how nice!

Wishing everyone well x

Kittenkatzen · 28/05/2013 12:58

Hey all, hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend (sorry you didn't get one pineapple!)

waves gladd you're feeling better, even if only marginally! Good work on the NCT bargains, there's a nearly new sale near me in a couple of weeks I think, must remember to pop along there.

Not much to report from me....we did some bits and pieces in the nursery this weekend - the cot is now up eek!! And we have a giant tree wall sticker up behind it which looks amazing (if I do say so myself!). Still a bit of a destruction/dumping zone, but it's starting to come together which is nice!

Very excited to see/hear who will win the "next JSer to pop" race! :o

GaryBuseysTeeth · 28/05/2013 13:12

Moby wrap for £10 is amazing waves!

Congrats on getting past mc date milestones MrsAVB. Hope the MS improves for you soon. x

Glad you got seen & everything was ok child.

Pineapple, I've been having ratty rants here too when I'm overtired. So you're not alone!

Hooya, most things will have wee or poo on at some point, at least with changing table desk you can embarrass/disgust by saying 'I changed your nappy on that'! Grin

Had to buy some more breast pads today, leaky is not a good look Blush

out for all those nearing the finish line!

thethreeblondies · 28/05/2013 17:46

Hey ladies I'm still lurking! 19+ weeks now got my 20 wk scan on monday, have had a few twisty turny movements this week from bubba but now I'm over the ms I can almost forgot I'm pg (apart from people pointing out my "hugeness" lol) I looked back at the old thread the other day and it's strange that u ladies now nearly ready to pop were all reaching/passing the 20wk mark when I got my bfp! Shows just how time flies! Grin

MrsBri · 28/05/2013 17:59

Hi Pineapple :-)

I'm feeling large and cumbersome right now! And really tired.

I don't know how you're still working! I couldn't have done it.

On the TMI front, increase in creamy CM going on today. Still no real BH though, although I do get period pain type cramps, just without the tightening of bump.

Baby B is intent on doing his best Alien impression every day now too. It hurts!

Oh, and I feel sick almost all the time.

Apart from all those things I feel great :-)

Hi to everyone else too! I hope you're all well.

wavesandsmiles · 28/05/2013 18:12

I've been getting loads of BH recently which is nice.

Saw my consultant today and had another scan. Babywaves is still very little - down to the 7th centile now, but has grown, unlike me! Next scan in 3 weeks to check growth of baby. I may have to go back to daily hospital trips for IV anti emetics which are more effective than the oral meds if I fail to put weight on in the next few weeks. My consultant said that these remaining weeks are the kind of critical time in terms of weight gain, so we need to get more calories into me (that actually stay down)

I'm so excited that there are imminent JSing arrivals. Can't wait for my turn Smile

ChildOfThe1980s · 28/05/2013 18:35

Waves hope that you and your baby put in some weight soon. You can have some of mine if you like?

All the best for your scan Blondies

Hope you feel better soon MrsBri

I am due today. Nothing is happening except my grumpiness is increasing. :/

notsoold · 28/05/2013 21:29

Frogchops...:)

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 06:41

Poor Child...your midwife couldn't have been more wrong then :-/ How frustrating.

I think I'll feel better once I've had baby. The midwives have said that the nausea is just a pregnancy thing, so not to worry!

Rather large practice contraction yesterday has made me realise I've still got a bit to do before I'm ready for baby, so I've decided to be productive today!

My body is definitely sending signals that it's getting prepared, so I feel I should join in :-)

I'm term by their dates tomorrow and mine on Monday. So glad to be getting to that milestone now too.

I'll also donate some weight to you, waves, if you like! I'm looking forward to losing the post-baby weight now, it has to be said!

Hope you all have a good day.

ChildOfThe1980s · 29/05/2013 11:27

All the best MrsBri - how are you being productive today?

I had one BH this morning, and that's it. Having a stretch and sweep later - here's hoping!

I am doing some baking to cheer myself up.

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 11:30

Hi Child!

Fingers crossed for the sweep.

I'm doing batch cooking and completing some admin tasks I have been ignoring :-) So quite productive, for me.

Need to do some cleaning though too. Boo!

OP posts:
Pineapple80 · 30/05/2013 01:39

Good luck with the sweep Child. Sorry to hear its been a bit frustrating for you. Fingers are crossed for you!! Smile

MrsBri - glad to hear you're well. I'm not sure how I get thru my tired days at work either!! I have to get up an walk around, visit the ladies room or eat to stay awake Grin. Only a week and a bit to go though and I and get some rest. TBH I am doing it for the money really, we really need that right now.

Waves - glad you're both well and hope you both have some healthy gains over next few weeks.

I have my hospital appointment this afternoon, and may be booking in my induction for 39wks. It's going to feel very real once that is locked in I think!

Had a better nights sleep so feeling ok at work today!

Hi to everyone and hope you're all doing well Smile

MrsBri · 30/05/2013 06:52

Ah, induction, pineapple...I'd love to have a vague idea when Baby B is coming. :-) No sign yet, but full term today. Hurrah!

Money is a great motivator, isn't it? :-/

Any news Child?

OP posts:
Pineapple80 · 30/05/2013 09:39

Well my induction is booked for 2 wks tomorrow! Excited & nervous! Dr did an internal exam and said cervix is soft, meaning the BH and cramps are doing their job. Not necessarily indicating early labour but seems progress is being made.

It's weird because I always imagined to be waiting for a natural labour like most of you ladies here, but I would rather follow Drs advice and do what is best for baby... I guess there is still time from labour to start on its own still!

Have a good day all Smile

Pineapple80 · 30/05/2013 09:40

MrsBri - congrats on being full term!!

MrsBri · 30/05/2013 09:45

Ooh, that's exciting, pineapple :-)

Race you then (though you have an unfair advantage!).

My 'real' term day is Monday next week, my scan put it at today though. So I've said BabyB can come then!

DH thinks this Sunday, apparently. Not sure about that as there's no sign of anything happening. At all!

Hi all, just thought I'd pop back from lurking to see how everyone is getting. It looks like there will be a few new babies soon. Fern is 20 weeks old! It is going SO fast. She is still an absolute angel I'm feeling very lucky so far. Really excited about the impending arrivals x

Kittenkatzen · 30/05/2013 10:42

Hope the sweep was, erm...productive child Grin

Congrats on full term mrsb, exciting! Have the annoying "have you had it yet?" texts started yet?!

pineapple sending energetic vibes your way to get you through the last week or so at work!

Smile
MrsBri · 30/05/2013 11:34

Hi tired! Can't believe Fern is 20 weeks old already! Time really does fly.

Kitten, no, not yet. My sister asks me how I am every morning which could be code! But she's the one person I'll tell when I go into labour, so she'll know when it's happening :-)

Everyone else can wait til baby is safely here before we say anything. We aren't going to be updating during the process!

OP posts:
ChildOfThe1980s · 30/05/2013 22:22

Congrats on reaching term MrsBri :) Hope your baby comes soon.

20 weeks Tired . That's flown!

I'm getting a few of those texts now Kitten - which I do understand because everyone gets excited.

The sweep went well yesterday. MW said that she found it harder going than I did- DH said she looked really uncomfortable but I was fine as was practicing my breathing, and stayed completely chilled. MW seemed impressed.

I've had a few mild BHs through the day, but recently started getting sharp shooting pains in my bits. Not sure what's going on there.

MrsBri · 30/05/2013 22:38

Lightning crotch, Child?! I had that earlier on. Bloody hurts, doesn't it? :-/

I hope you go into labour very soon. What's the next step if you don't?

OP posts:
Pineapple80 · 31/05/2013 09:10

Sending you positive labour vibes Child...

I'm totally shattered. Just got home from work. DH is grumpy for whatever reason and I'm trying my best not to get upset (cause I'm so tired anything sets me off!). On the upside, it is Friday night...

Have a Good Friday ladies x

MrsAVB · 31/05/2013 09:20

Ooh exciting imminent babies! Good luck everyone! X

Pineapple80 · 31/05/2013 09:42

Thanks! Smile How are you feeling MrsAVB?

MrsAVB · 31/05/2013 09:52

Not toooo bad. Went to the GP yesterday as fed up of vomming around 6 times a day every day for 4 weeks. Felt a bit of a fraud as don't hit any of the warning signs that you're supposed to go in for (am not dehydrated, weight loss is not too much etc), but he has prescribed me cyclizine. I'm not sure whether I'm going to take it as apparently it makes you really drowsy and I'm shattered already. But maybe I'll try a small dose over the weekend when it doesn't matter so much if I'm tired. He also (bizarrely IMO) offered to sign me off work for 2 weeks, but I said no, as I don't feel any better when I'm resting at the weekends.
Will be 9 weeks on Monday, so keeping FX the worst is over (probably being naive).
