Shagged Out Viroids 7th Thread! From conception to birth...living proof that JSing really does work!

MrsBri · 04/03/2013 21:03

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw a few births, including one set of twins, and this one promises to be fruitful also with a number of us nearing the end of the 9 month wait!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 14th thread.

Kitten, yes, I did :-( I had to send it to a friend so know all about it!

The only one I've never seen is Blackout because it was too windy at Marley Park for the balloonists, so they pulled it completely. And I've only seen Sunburn once, at my first gig. Those two are the main reasons I'm upset. Still a cracking set list though.

They did Feeling Good and Guidling Light to balance them out though!!

So jealous.

And yes, time has rattled past, hasn't it? I can't believe we get to meet our wriggly little baby soon. I hope he's as funny out as he is in! :-)

Kittenkatzen · 24/05/2013 08:03

Ha yeah but that's a trade off I'm willing to make! (I actually don't think guiding light is terrible live - and I'll need a wee break or two Grin). Now if only they would bring back dark shines......!

MrsBri · 24/05/2013 08:06

If Muscle Museum came back I'd be inconsolable!!

StuckOnARollercoaster · 24/05/2013 08:52

Good luck for Wednesday and after child
I'd lost track of who was up next but it looks like you with a few of us closely chasing after Wink!

MrsBri · 24/05/2013 08:56

Stuck, I never know who's next! I'm sure when I'm in labour I'll work out it's my turn! :-)

Pineapple, I've been getting the sharp shooting pain..couldn't breathe through it last night.

MrsAVB, Grin I think a Sweep MW puppet would make a sweep far more enjoyable, although not for him..poor Sweep.

I used to be such a big Muse fan, but I can't stand the new stuff at all (that's anything past Blackholes for me!)...have a good night tomorrow Kitten.
What's everyone else up to this weekend?

Cannot believe we're so close to meeting more thread babies Shock

MrsBri · 24/05/2013 09:10

Those pains sound intense, Gary. I hope they ease off soon.

My midwife friend is visiting this weekend so I'll be writing my birth plan with her.

I'll also be sulking that I can't go to Muse!

What are you up to, Gary?

notsoold · 24/05/2013 09:51

Good luck to the ladies so close to see their babies!!!
Have a lovely weekend!!!

Pineapple80 · 24/05/2013 11:45

holds crotch to try and contain sharp cervical stinging pain!

Baby is bouncing low tonight over here and really feeling it!!! Argh! Gary & MrsBri - it's a weird and painful sensation isn't it? Hmm

Kitten - I will be on leave in 2 wks I think. My contract at work is a bit up in the air right now (no one has advised end date!!) so looks like im def in next week though.

Had my weekly hospital appt last night and next week we are discussing booking in my induction for 39 wks ShockShockShock! I really hope labour starts on its own accord but we will see.

Child - thanks, to hear that my haywire moods are somewhat normal is reassuring! I find myself most vulnerable when I am tired... Glad to hear you're feeling a lot better this week!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 24/05/2013 13:50

I didn't have it with DS, so I'm a bit worried atm. My mum/family have a history of pre-term labour, and I've got no idea what natural labour feels like so Confused

Two weeks to go Pineapple! How fab, if you do have an early induction eat as much as you can on the night before/first day

MrsBri, enjoy birthplan writing..and sulking over Muse. I'm sure they'll be rubbish, it'll rain & Kitten will have the most unsatisfying £8 burger ever.

I'm taking DS out tomorrow with a friend, DH & I are going to try our local church for the first time on Sunday, really nervous I'm going to say something wrong, or fart, or go into labour.

MrsBri · 24/05/2013 13:56

Ha ha, Gary...I'm sure you won't do any of them. If you must though, you may as well do the full house :-) But you won't!

Baby B's new trick is to stretch up and stick his feet in my ribs whilst causing shooting fanjo pain at the same time. This baby haz skillz. :-/

I normally only have feet in my ribs at night, so something is going on in there!

ChildOfThe1980s · 24/05/2013 17:12

I love Muse too :)

Baby is getting very quiet these days- I've only felt 3 movements today. :/ It's never been a crazy baby, but I'm feeling a little concerned.

My cousin had a baby yesterday and I got quite emotional about it.

Pineapple might you have a baby before me if I'm late? I'm 39 + 3.

MrsBri · 24/05/2013 17:26

Child, call your triage midwives to see what they say. They may want to monitor baby. Better to be monitored and it be nothing than not and regret it.

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 24/05/2013 17:52

Seconded, give them a call child

GaryBuseysTeeth · 24/05/2013 20:20

Child, hope you've given them a call by now hope everything is ok x

ChildOfThe1980s · 24/05/2013 22:04

I called the midwives and they asked me to go into the hospital. Baby's heartbeat was good but took a while to move. It eventually woke up, so all is fine. Glad that I got it checked though.

They want me to go back tomorrow for a follow-up check, which is procedure apparently.

MrsBri · 24/05/2013 22:13

I'm glad you went too, Child. I hope it's all ok tomorrow too.

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 24/05/2013 22:29

Good to know everything's ok in there child, hope tomorrow goes well too Smile

Pineapple80 · 25/05/2013 15:35

Glad you and baby are ok Child. I doubt I will have my baby before you - I am 36 wks exactly tomorrow (Sunday) and my induction would be 3 weeks from now, or closer to 3.5 wks time making my 39 + a few days, I'd say.

Gary - closer to 3 wks! Eek I'd be panicking more if it were 2 Grin

MrsBri - ouch!! Got to love new baby tricks!

Hope you're all having a great long weekend Smile. We just had my cousin and hubby over for dinner. Probably last time we have the chance to entertain for a while! Hoping to finalise my hospital bag tomorrow. Been on my to-do list forever!

Hooya · 26/05/2013 11:57

Hello all! Hope you're having a lovely long weekend (which I am jealous of as we don't have Monday off here!) What's everyone up to?

Child glad you and baby are all ok!

Sorry to all those with shooting pains, sounds nasty!

Thanks for those who replied saying to go for it and buy stuff... we ordered the cot, changing table and buggy yesterday - all Stokke in the end as we loved the height of the buggy, and the cot is great as it grows from a mini-cot to a bed, and the changing table converts into a desk. Still wondering if it will be weird to use something as a desk one day that may have had poo on it, though... Confused

Otherwise, things are good if a bit confusing - some pressure and enticing offers from DP's work, so we're debating whether he can go back part-time from earlier than planned (3 months post baby birth, rather than the original 6) if we can find the right nanny... all a bit confusing, lots of debates going on - when did it all get so grown-up and complicated?

Best to everyone especially those due soon!

frogchops · 27/05/2013 17:50

Just stopping by to say I cannot believe notso is fast approaching 30 weeks! I'm stunned at how fast this is all going now, considering that wait for my 12 wk scan lasted a.lifetime.

frogchops · 27/05/2013 17:51

I meant 20, not 30!! Didnt mean to send u into ridiculously early labour!! Blush

wavesandsmiles · 28/05/2013 08:37

How is everyone today? I'm 31 weeks now, and seeing my consultant for a scan and check up due to the ongoing hyperemesis in less than 3 hours.

I feel like I am starting to get a bit more prepared - I managed to get to an NCT sale on Friday and picked up some bargains (including a Moby wrap in fantastic condition for £10!) and since then have also been given a couple of sacks of baby clothes and toys.

Whilst I am still being sick a lot, I am grateful that as yet I don't have any real pregnancy woes, other than getting nasty rib pain every few days as my little acrobat squirms into uncomfortably positions. I guess that one of the positive effects of persistent low-level dehydration is the fact that I don't wake up in the night needing a wee Grin

What's the current baby queue looking like? I am thinking that child must be next, with stuck, MrsBri and Pineapple following on - although I am not sure what order....

MrsBri · 28/05/2013 09:07

Hi waves!

Glad you're feeling OK :-)

As for the 3 of us, I think it could be in any order to be honest. Child is definitely next though!

Hi all! waves good to hear you're doing ok. Thanks for your advice re. MS before, I ended up not going to the GPs before (on NHS direct's advice), but sorely tempted now as have had a pretty awful few days with it. Not long til booking appointment and scan though, am hoping it'll go quickly. Am 8+1 now and past my two previous MC dates so it feels a bit more hopeful.
Lots of love to child and others due soon
Xxx
