hello and welcome 2labs! Smile

Nbg · 03/05/2006 10:25

Hi 2labs, congratulations Smile (will stick you on the list Grin)

Good luck with the scan Arabica Smile

Lol at your eating Olivo Grin I'm just the same if it makes you feel any better. I think I ate 8 Blue Ribbons yesterday, along with a great big milka bar that dh brought back from Austria. This was all washed down with 3 large glasses of Pepsi Blush Not great but baby obviously wants it Grin
I also made the mistake of putting treacle on my porridge this morning and as a result I could pour the full contents into a bowl and stick my head in it.

I'll see how the day goes Grin

Arabica · 03/05/2006 20:25

Unfortunately I didn't get quite the result I was hoping for from my scan--I have started a thread in pregnancy, cos I want more information.

Nbg · 04/05/2006 10:13

Lots of hugs to you Arabica.

Thinking of you.

xxx

Arabica · 04/05/2006 10:16

That's so kind NBG. I didn't want to put too much detail on this thread as I don't want to depress everyone, but all the good vibes and kind thoughts really help.

olivo · 04/05/2006 10:59

Hope you are ok Arabica.

also thinking of you, take care.xx

jayjaybaby · 04/05/2006 17:52

trix1 · 05/05/2006 09:29

Good Morning, Hope you are all well, how gorgeous is it out there? Ive got the day off work to catch up on housework but its far too nice for that.

Im feeling bigger and better now. 25 Weeks now, im starting to think it may not have been a good ideat to book a fortnights holiday in spain travelling when im 30 weeks.

Arabica, thinking of you right now xx

lunavix · 05/05/2006 09:33

25 weeks saturday.. time's flying.

Dh ds and I camped in the garden last night. Dh has decided he hates our airbed so it was a rather uncomfortable night. I'm putting my foot down for our three night camping trip next weekend!

Brownie pack holiday tonight for two nights too... it all seems go at the minute!

Is anyone else counting down to due date? I have a little list of 'events' up until:
brownie pack holiday
our camping trip
my birthday
half term
our holiday (plus our wedding anniversairy)
fathers day
dh birthday
4 weeks of school summer hols

Then baby! Or am I just insane Grin

olivo · 05/05/2006 11:22

lunavix - i'm counting down too - only 49 days left of work after today - i can't wait! days like today, i can't help feeling that even a newborn might be a little less demanding than some of my students!!Grin

and all i want is to be outside - its beautiful here too and i can smell the sea!Envyof all those with days off - stuff the housework Trix!!

i know what you mean about counting off the events till 'the big event' - i have my mum then my dad and his partner coming to stay, half term (anti-d injections Sad) and several others before my big count down starts at the beginning of the summer holidays!

eenywifemum · 05/05/2006 11:32

Hi Everyone I have been a long time reader of mumsnet but haven't posted before. I am officially due the 1st of Sept but it's looking more like mid-August instead, which is great for me as I am impatient! Just wanted to connect to other mums-to-be who are expecting babies around the same time.

Olivo, I notice you said you have your anti-D injections to look forward to - Are you Rh negative then? I am, so am thinking about that as well. Just wondered what your thoughts were on the subject. I know its not a really big deal but I am a bit skittish as I have had a pretty difficult pregnancy so far.

Well everyone, happy baby preparations!

trix1 · 05/05/2006 11:40

Me too - Im Rhesus Negative and have to go in three weeks the local hospital to have the anti D injection.

Olivio - so jealous of you being near the sea!

hoppybird · 05/05/2006 12:09

Hello everyone!

Can I join in too? :)

My due date is 21st August, so I'm around 24 weeks and some days gestation. Pregnancy and scans completely fine so far!

For some reason, all my official documentation implies that I'm in my late 30s, but I'm sure that's wrong! I already have 1 ds who will be 6 in September - he was born at 35 weeks by emergency CS - no idea about how this one will be delivered, stopped worrying about it as soon as I had my first scan at 13 weeks, as I thought, "well, it's going to happen one way or another." Which is particularly laid back for me, as I worried about it for years prior to even ttc. Am seeing GP next week to discuss my delivery options.

I'm an occasional poster, but mostly I try and avoid getting too sucked into MN because I work from home on the PC and the temptation to read MN is always too great! However, I think I may be needing a bit of support and advice here (and perhaps offer some myself) over the next few months, so I hope you don't mind if I join in at this late stage?

aprilgirl1 · 05/05/2006 12:41

hi every one every one sounds well, thinking of you Arabica hope things turn out ok for you , i would have posted on the other post but didnt feel i could add anything of any use except lots of hugs n kisses maybe??? hope your doing ok!!

im good, getting bigger by the day n loving every minute of being pregnant, so far so good, got the 3d scan next thursday so cant wait and dp is home for it so makes it even more special!

i am suffering really bad with my asthma..... anyone else? been to the docs but they cant really do much with me being preg, except up my dose on my inhaler which makes me feel ill and shakey!! but the breathless ness is killing me... got help it when summer really arrives!!

and what a lovely few days weather we are having roll on maternity leave,
when is every one starting your maternity ive put in at work for 10th july n due 13 aug, is that too soon? work arent being to helpful so dont really know when the right time tio start actaully is....
take care xx

BigHotMama · 05/05/2006 13:34

Afternoon ladies, hope your all enjoying this gorgeous weather, just been to pub in my lunch hour for 1/2 pint of shandy...bliss!

Arabica, hope your ok hun, sending big hugs to you, and you shouldnt feel bad about writing on this thread about what your going through, we're all here to help and support one another. Let us know how you get on with your appointment. x x

Welcome & Congrats to 2Labs, Eenywifemum and Hopperbird. Wow this thread is almost as big as me lol.

Sorry to hear you had a bit of a scare other day Pucca and hope your ok now chick!

JayJay I'm LMAO at you knitting in the sun and getting burnt, sorry shouldnt laugh just find it hard to imagine. (Bridget Jones sprang to mind!)

I think your very brave Trix going away at 30 weeks, I just know I'd have big swollen ankles and sweaty baps, I adore the sun but get really sweaty and know I wouldnt cope being this big. (Am jealous too tho) Where you off to in Spain?

Lunavix, my events b4 babytime are - 4d scan next week, 2 day spa holiday, BF's 30th Bday party, decorating n sorting nursery, maternity leave then arrival of baba. Not got as much as you going on but I work most weekends so plays havoc with my social life.

Aprilgirl I break up from work on July 14th and am due on august 7th so got around 3 weeks off. I think 3-4 weeks before date is ideal as its gonna be hot & belly will be big and get in the way. If it was a winter baby I'd have probably stayed on for little longer I think.

Well sorry if I've bored you all as its a bit of an essay due to me not having the time to write much this week, hope your all well and have great weekend! Smile Smile Smile

Sheona · 05/05/2006 15:03

Just a messege 2 wish everyone the best of luck for the future. I will be signing off from this thread as our son Ryan was born on the 26th April, at only 24 weeks. Tragically he had died will still inside me, we discovered 2 days b4 his birth that this had happened, and we don't yet know the cause.

Thanks a lot really enjoyed taking part.

Sheona

aprilgirl1 · 05/05/2006 15:16

Sheona i cant begin to even imagine how you must be feeling right now, i just wanted to say how sorry i am to hear about your sad loss, things in this world just sometimes are not fair, im so sorry take care of your self sending you lots of hugs and kisses xxx

BigHotMama · 05/05/2006 15:45

Sheona thats just awful news, you just cant believe something like that can happen at 24 weeks? Seems so unfair. Take care of yourself and god bless little Ryan x x x

sarahlou1uk · 05/05/2006 15:59

Sheona, no amount of words are ever going to express the amount of sadness everybody will be feeling for you. Large amounts of hugs and kisses are being sent your way in this difficult time.

olivo · 05/05/2006 17:17

sheona, so sorry to hear this. take care of yourself.x
