Thanks NBG...i hope it clicks with my dd soon, it a bit of a pain to use the toilet in my house as no downstairs loo, and the stairs are horrific at the best of times (terrace house)let alone with a toddler needing a wee!!

See all you 1st time mums you have it all to come > only kidding! lol.

PinkTulips · 12/05/2006 13:46

lol kitegirl, your not the only one parading around in low tops 'in our condition', don't have any decent ones that fit and all my bras strangle me so i've beeen looking pretty trailer trash in the heat for the last few days, low cut sting tops that barely, or don't, cover the bump! never sure whether the looks i'm getting are because i'm pregnant or because i look ridiculous, seriously need to invest in some more clothes!

read your scan results on your other thread arabica, i know theres still worry for you but at least those results sound a little more positive than before, and like someone said, 50% of developmental delay translates to 50% chance of no problems. hope you're keeping positive Smile

jayjaybaby · 12/05/2006 19:17

well im glad to hear things look more positive arabica

must say loving the sun have spent all day out the house today been into town and to where i used to work to have lunch with a couple of the girls have also been wearing low cut top and been perved on then had a pedi with my friend laura made friend that is due four weeks b4 me works there and i really feel sorry for her you can see she is struggling bless her

must say i can still get in quite a few of my normal clothes just fastening zips half way and my kaftans just cover my belly so not aas fat as i thought

went to see mw yesterday and think shes a bit paranoid i itched my boob twice whilst i was there and she made me give blood to check for that liver thing but i also heard babs heart beat which is lovely go back in 3 wks for anti d ahh

must say as i had to have a mothercare urban detour am very jealous of the bugaboo have seen a pink one and i want it

purpleturtle · 12/05/2006 22:01

Pucca - my 3 and a bit year old ds has pooed his pants every afternoon this week, and wet several pairs of trousers besides. Angry I wonder whether it's the bump that's upset him, or starting nursery 5 mornings a week, or something else... Our sticker chart is all black crosses Sad

Have purchased a lovely pair of white linen trousers this afternoon, having been too hot in my jeans the past couple of days. Think I'll try to talk my mum into taking them up for me tomorrow, as they're not going to look very special once I've dragged the hems along the ground.

Nbg · 12/05/2006 22:04

Where did you get them from PT?

jayjaybaby · 13/05/2006 08:52

i love my white linen trousers from la redoute 19 quid and i got i them 20 % off with free p and p

im all alone today my dh is off test driving astin martins im so jealous as i love posh cars then off to watch cup final at the pub and mum is away so im all alone Sad crying into my keyboard

AGJ · 13/05/2006 11:02

jayjay - i can commiserate with that, my dh has been away for a week in Spain on a boys holiday with his friends! He is back tonight but feels like he's been gone ages - I know he is feeling guilty about going for such a long time though!

Found out you can hire Tens machine from Tesco pharmacys which I think I might do as seems a handy place to get one from.

PinkTulips · 13/05/2006 12:33

was hoping today would be lovely and sunny again, killed myself doing all the cleaning yesterday so we could go to the beach again and it's miserable and cloudy, boo hoo Sad

on tha plus side my dd just ate a hole bowl of cheerios by herself without feeling the need to upturn them over her head or throw them at me which is a bit of a landmark!

olivo · 13/05/2006 14:28

hi everyone! have had a baby-tastic morning this mornig - went to a baby sale with a friend and bought loads of excellent stuff really cheap! then went and collected my huggies and avent packs from boots so have got lots to look at and sift through. feeling a bit more organised now! and my mum is coming to stay next week and bringing over some 'white' clothes from my sister who had a dd last year. now i just have to find somewhere to put it all until we can clear out the baby's room!

on the downside, i'm having a really unhealthy food day - i just dont fancy anything nutritious.

at least the weather here is nice - off to sit in the garden for a bit - are you jealous pinktulips?Grin

Nbg · 13/05/2006 15:18

It's an awful day here. It has rained most of the day and now it's really cold and grey.

AGJ, Would recommend the TENS machine. I used one with dd and it was very good. I got to 5cm at home, just using the TENS. I'll be getting one again this time as I plan not to have any pain relief.

Dh is at work all day today and won't be back till tomorrow tea time so we've agreed that tonight I will go through the baby name book again and write another list of names and then dh will do the same. We still like Beau but it's not like us to agree on something so quickly Grin

Nbg · 13/05/2006 15:19

Envy Olivo of all your baby shopping.
I so desperatly want to start buying!

PinkTulips · 13/05/2006 15:45

Envy olivo.

dp has just taken dd to the swings to 'give mommy the chance to mop the floors', cheers! yesterday he went of with her to 'give me the chance to make dinner', think i may go on strike, have just munched half a pack of choc digestives and am considering sitting right here on my ass doing absolutely nothing an seeing how he likes that. he only crawled out of bed an hour ago! grrrAngry

as for baby names, definitely decided on Caleb for a boy but haven't even drawn up a shortlist of girls names yet, i can't seem to find any i like enough in the baby name book so i'm hoping either inspriation hits at some point or its a boy!

Nbg · 13/05/2006 15:48

PinkT, What did they say to you about the Braxton Hicks?
I've had around 8 today and am just getting one now which is quite uncomfortable so I'm going to mention it when I see the MW on Thursday.

Just so I can prepare myself incase she says get your bag and go in to be monitored!

PinkTulips · 13/05/2006 15:59

well as you know my hospital is fairly useless so i wouldn't take it as gospel! had a young woman doctor and she didn't seem overly concerned even though the gp and midwives the week before had been very worried, she just poked my tummy, seemed a bit surprised he was head down and quite big but didn't do an internal exam of my cervix which according to everything i've read she should have. she seemed happy enough that as i was only 5 mins from the hospital so if they got any worse i should come back in and they'd look at me again. she also increased the amount of checkups i'll have. like i said, not much help!

i didn't get any bad ones since so i wasn't too pushed but they've come back with a vengence today, deliberating whether i have the guts to do an internal exam myself and find out if my cervix is soft as from what i've read on the net that could be a sign of early labour.

olivo · 13/05/2006 16:00

just saw TENS machines to buy in the sale on either jojomamanbaby or blooming marvellous websites - 24.99 if i rememebr correctly ( but baby brain has kicked in big time recently! Grin)
might be worth a look - dont know how much they cost to hire though?

Nbg · 13/05/2006 16:03

Well good luck with the self checking!
I wouldn't have a clue what to do!!!

I've had some monster ones today.

Knowing my luck if I mention it she'll admit me into hospital and I'm supposed to be seeing Take That!

Nbg · 13/05/2006 16:04

I think they're about £20 to hire Olivo but I could be wrong.

PinkTulips · 13/05/2006 16:11

the other thing i read is that dehydration is a key factor so drink loads of water and see does that ease them, it was working for me but i either haven't drunk enough in the last few days or they're really getting much worse. hard to keep track of what i'm drinking when dd steals my water bottle all the time!

Nbg · 13/05/2006 16:13

I'll try that then. I probably don't drink enough.
I certainly haven't been doing too much though so that can't be causing it Grin

PinkTulips · 13/05/2006 16:15

what day you seeing take that on? lucky you having a proper night out Envy

Nbg · 13/05/2006 16:20

Nbg · 13/05/2006 16:39

I doubt nesting will ever kick in for me, lol!

trix1 · 13/05/2006 16:58

Hello all, what a miserable afternoon. I fell asleep on the sofa for an hour and now my ribs on the left side are in agony.
