sarahlou1uk · 08/05/2006 17:28

Sorry pucca, just checked and I am on 11 sheets at 25+5

Nbg · 08/05/2006 17:37

I think different brand loo rolls maybe causing some distress.
Think about it
Now if you buy Andrex, Double Velvet or Charmin, they are the more luxurious bog roll and more expensive hence the sheets may be larger.

Now maybe if you buy a cheaper brand, for example I purchase Asdas own (not smartprice I hasten to add) the prices are more competetive to those luxurious brands mentioned above so maybe just maybe they cut on sheet size to keep prices down.

Interesting, yes?

So Pucca my love, what brand are you using?

lol Grin

pucca · 08/05/2006 17:39

Andrex Blush

Nbg · 08/05/2006 17:46

I was joking Grin

It's got to be dependant on your size hasn't it.

Just thought I would say Hi and if anyone has any advise for a new mum please fill me in!! Smile

pucca · 08/05/2006 18:46

So what names have you all picked?

I am having a boy and is gonna be either George Henry or George Alexander Smile Can't make our minds up yet lol.

sarahlou1uk · 08/05/2006 18:56

I'm having a girl and she will be called Molly Anne May ......
Anne after my mil and May after my mum

Nbg · 08/05/2006 19:17

I think we're going with Beau as it's the only one we can agree on.
Dh has come out with some weird ones though. Clayton and Apollo were amoungst them! Wtf?

I'm still pushing for Lars though and Reuben is definatley off. Too girly apparently!

Lovely choices Pucca and Sarahlou.

olivo · 08/05/2006 19:34

we can't remotely agree so havent decided! suppose we better start thinking about it again. I'm reluctant to agree on anything as i'm hanging out for Noah for a boy but dh says he doesnt like it Grin i'm still hoping he comes round to it though!!

2labs · 08/05/2006 20:09

We can't agree either Blush. Are you all passionate about the names you've chosen or are they ones you just like and feel you can live with? We haven't found any so far that we really really love.

Nbg · 08/05/2006 20:16

I love Beau. Have liked it for ages but I never mentioned it to dh as I thought he would hate it or think it was silly.

Must have another look through the huge name book we bought just in case baby pops out and looks nothing like a Beau!

melsy · 08/05/2006 21:09

Thats a great name NBG , really cool. I have both girl & boy names , but dd doesnt like the boy name , but I really like it he says its too biblical. I love dd's name , really was special , unusual but not wierd. So hard to match , i think its harder 2nd time around.

sarahlou1uk · 08/05/2006 21:32

Any August mums in Sheffield area planning to go to Jessops? MW has told me that August is going to be busy and that I might be better having a home birth as I might be turned away if I am in labour! - yeah, like to see them try!!!

hoppybird · 08/05/2006 21:36

Hello again everyone - my word! Lots to catch up on here!

Re: nursery - I wish! We don't have one! We're still in our 2 bedroom shoebox-sized flat - really not enough room for 2 children. We had hoped to move before baby arrived, but didn't count on me getting pg on the first attempt! GP told me to take it easy and not get stressed in the last trimester (having previously had an early baby), so I reckon baby's health is more important than having an extra room, so we'll wait to sell up and move after baby arrives!

Sarahlou - re second baby kicking, well for me it's pretty much the same as first time, although I do experience baby waking up and being active when I go to bed, but I'm finding most of the kicks pleasant. The only time I don't is when baby puts his feet downwards so it feels like he/she is stomping on my bladder, but going on all fours and rocking seems to help turn baby round.

burstingbug · 08/05/2006 22:12

We called ds George, haven't decided on what this next baby will be, possible we'll go for Joseph or if it turns out to be a girl then Charlotte has been decided.

eenywifemum · 08/05/2006 23:39

Well Salamander came home from work and measured me properly with loo roll - 9 squares! I'm happy with that number.

Our boy is called Alexander Duane - Alex just because we both love the name and Duane is my Grandpa's name. The nursery is great, we painted torquoise, red & lime green dots all over it and have sort of put it together from that.

Hoppybird - I think you are doing exactly the right thing! My friend moved at 5 months and it was awful & stressful for her, the main thing is to minimise stress!!
