Think mines asleep most of the time too think I'm feeling her a bit in the evenings which is nice at least to guess that she is Grin

Baby was sleeping at 12 and 20 week too cheeky monkey x

peardrop2 · 26/01/2013 09:46

Mine is also a happy sleeper. Nearly 24weeks now and there seems to be a routine starting. Early kicks in the morning, the odd kick during the day (especially If I lean forward at my desk), sometimes a few more kicks at lunch, a couple of kicks between 9-10 pm and then nothing until morning!

Littlemissexpecting · 26/01/2013 09:52

I've not felt any definite movements yet (anterior placenta and dc1 so not concerned too much yet) but DH is getting impatient as he wants to feel them! He tries every day bless him but I've told him he's prob got a few weeks wait yet.
At 12 wk scan we had a wriggler which was a pain for measuring NT as he wouldn't stay still. At 20wk scan the opposite, very sleepy and shy. Which is also a problem when they won't move their hand to check the face, or legs scrunched up to check the feet and measure thigh! It required lots of persuasion to get him to move!!

forgetmenots · 26/01/2013 10:50

Oh mrsbri I think we best get prepared - couple of live wires!

littlemiss mine (wriggler) kept moving hands in front of parts when sonographer went to them, it was actually quite comical (has obviously inherited my silly sense of humour) and luckily the sonographer was in good spirits! Was like scan peek-a-boo!

MrsBri · 26/01/2013 10:54

I know, forget...think I may spend my maternity leave padding the house out for when baby B gets moving around! Bound to be climbing up and jumping off things sooner rather than later!

Can't wait for my 20 week scan...almost less nervous now, kind of. :-)

LexiLexi · 26/01/2013 14:14

Had a lovely scan yesterday, think baby would like to join the acrobatics team, showing off by waving feet above his/her head!

It was amazing to see so much detail, including the heart aww. Congratulations to Looney and forgetmenots on good scan news too. Like you, forgetmenots our little one wasn't very co-operative when it came to the measurements but we got there in the end eventually.

Got to test drive some prams at John Lewis afterwards- think we are leaning towards the iCandy Peach Jogger as we would like something rugged, parent facing and off-roady. Was hoping to be able to buy some cute little items of clothing while at JL but other than some very plain, white baby grows in packs of 5 and one green baby grow with some rather scary looking farm animals on which neither of us liked, everything on display was pink or blue, so went home empty handed (sob)

dreamydays · 26/01/2013 19:23

Congrats on all the great scan news :)

I agree with others about pink/blue stereotyping and also follow the pinkstinks campaign. With DD I dressed her in gender neutral clothes a lot, but must admit I got fed up with people saying "oh what a lovely little boy" or otherwise assuming she was a he. Anyway despite our gender-neutral efforts, as soon as she understood what colours are DD decided her favourites are purple and pink; and now, at nearly 4, she is determined to conform to the princess/fairy stereotype! At least I can say she makes up her own mind about things!

Someone, was it forget, suggested that maybe scans show personality - I've been wondering about that! DD was a real live wire at all scans (and generally in whirling about inside me) and has carried on at the same speed & intensity ever since. This one seems more placid at scans, and in her movements (so far) - does this mean I might get my wish for a calm baby?!

forgetmenots · 27/01/2013 11:41

So pleased to hear it lexi :)

This is my first dc dreamydays so i'll have to wait til June to see if the theory pans out :)

Little9 · 27/01/2013 11:42

Hello, ladies. I do hope you and bumps are all doing well. I know I haven't been on for ages but alas, I am bowing out gracefully. Waters broke again at 20 weeks and little angel Lily was born sleeping last night. Think I'm still in shock it's all happened practically the same as last time again. Think we'll try again one more time. Good luck, everyone, xxx
