Thanks ladies think I'm having a bit of an over sensitive day...I'm blaming the hormones. Had a little cry over a work nonissue a minute ago too. Off for nice early afternoon now of shopping for blankets and a film...will probably best if i see Django Unchained rather than The Impossible I think!

xx

Hi Looney I already have 2 boys too and getting the 'hoping for a girl?' comments. Will find out next week! I'm also Rh- but fortunately haven't had any bleeds, what a nightmare for you. Hope it improves from here Smile

looneytune · 25/01/2013 15:12

Thanks. Just back and I was right, I'm obviously meant to be the only female in the house LOL (even the cat is male!). Good luck with your scan next week :)

Sunbeam18 · 25/01/2013 15:22

Wow, SO many boys on this thread! Congrats!

learnermummy · 25/01/2013 16:15

Congrats Looney 3 boys will be great fun. Brace yourself for the 'are you going to try again for a girl?' comments though lol!

looneytune · 25/01/2013 16:18

LOL, well considering this was a 'surprise' baby and we weren't supposed to have any more, I should hopefully avoid those questions (especially as dh will be 52 by the time this one arrives!)

AlohaMama · 25/01/2013 17:05

Congrats on more scans. Wow so many boys. does this mean I'm going to have a boy too, or will I have a girl to even out the stats...

Got the knitting needles and wool out last night to knit an owl. Haven't got much further as I can't quite work out the first instructions! Not so crafty, after all.

Sunbeam18 · 25/01/2013 17:18

Looney, my DP is 53 so nice to hear there is another older dad on the thread!

forgetmenots · 25/01/2013 17:39

Had a lovely scan today with a wriggly baby :) everything well but I have to go back in a few weeks due to baby being 'playful' I'm missing a couple of measurements! Feel elated.

Although... I have an anterior placenta it turns out. I've been feeling flutters since maybe 14 weeks. It's my first baby. Baffling. Sonographer reckons baby is literally punching above its weight! Lots of funny moments though where baby seemed to be playing with the bump moving. So relieved :)

MrsBri · 25/01/2013 17:59

Awww...cute, forget!

If anyone is interested in a nursing chair, Kiddicare has a limited stock of a good priced chair here:

www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_16199_10001?cm_mmc=EMAIL--RESPONSYS---_-FY12_13wk52%20Big%20Sale%20Product%20email

Hopefully I'm not breaking MN rules here!

So want my scan now. Only 10 days to wait!

BumbleBee2011 · 25/01/2013 18:07

Wow, congrats on the latest scans Grin

MrsBri - I have that chair already for DD, it's lovely and comfy, it's in the nursery and I'm wondering whether it'll have to move out when DC2 moves in...

Got to catch up on the rest of the thread now...

RueDeWakening · 25/01/2013 18:58

MrsBri we've got that chair too - bought it from Kiddicare when DD was a baby (she'll be 6 by the time this one arrives!). It's lovely, but do check it every so often to make sure all the bolt bits are still tight, I had an arm come loose part way through feeding DS Shock

MrsBri · 25/01/2013 19:00

Good tip, Rue...a job for DH! :-)

forgetmenots · 25/01/2013 19:01

Just saw your message Looney - congrats on your boy, that will be so much fun!

pinkapples · 25/01/2013 20:20

3D gender scan booked for 30 weeks Grin very excited to see baby apples again

forgetmenots · 25/01/2013 20:26

Aww lovely pinkapples. How exciting! :)

learnermummy · 25/01/2013 20:36

We have a lot in common Looney - this is a surprise third for us too. Am sure it will be a boy too x

Littlemissexpecting · 25/01/2013 22:43

Pink apples I'm trying to persuade my DH to get a scan at 30 weeks but he's not convinced!
I love being pregnant tonight, even though I'm in quite a bit of pain with my hip and back, DH has just brought me up a bowl of chocolate!!!
Glad scans went well today. I still can't get over how much detail we could see!!

Withalittlesparkle · 25/01/2013 23:33

Hi ladies for those of you in the midlands area, groupon has an offer on at the moment for 3D scans (£99) rather tempted Smile but really should get my 20 week scan out the way first!!

curlyclaz13 · 26/01/2013 08:15

we are both off until Friday so hopefully will get a chance to start looking at prams. Mum has offered to buy us a cotbed which I am really pleased about as that will be a lot for her to pay out.
I still don't have much of a bump and don't think I have felt any movement 21 weeks now and getting impatient to feel him and look pregnant !

MrsBri · 26/01/2013 08:34

It'll come, curly :-) Though apparently my mum stayed almost bumpless even at 9 months with us. Whereas I look almost 9 months' gone with mine. Just shows how we are all different.

I asked my midwife friend how to entice baby into moving and she recommended a Mars Bar and proper Coke! Not sure if you fancy trying a sugar rush to try to feel baby?! I've not tried it yet, but mine is clumsy like me and keeps hitting me!

curlyclaz13 · 26/01/2013 08:37

I think he is lazy, asleep at 12 and 20 week scans. just like his dad

MrsBri · 26/01/2013 08:41

Awww...mine is also like dad but mischievous! No doubt who seems to have given personality to baby. :-)

Once he gets bigger you'll be ok, and not long to go!

forgetmenots · 26/01/2013 08:43

Aww curly just think, he might be a wonderful sleeper :)
I'm already slightly nervous at the thought of mine arriving - does not stop moving - think he/she is going to be a handful! Even the midwife at my 12week scan said 'maybe cut out caffeine?' I had. Completely!

Maybe your little one is jut so relaxed and contented in the lovely space you've made him. I think the personality is showing already :)

MrsBri · 26/01/2013 08:57

Mine is like yours, forget! Though we still have the 20 week scan to come to see if he's still whizzing round and round. Feels like he is though!

We struggled to get a clear picture at the first scan as he wouldn't sit still. At the moment he's busy kicking me where DH's arm is resting across me. Not quite strong enough for poor DH to feel sadly. :-(
