GreenOlives · 25/02/2013 20:26

Just on way home from ante-natal assessment unit, they wanted me to come in so they could "check my waters had gone" but after making us wait around for 1.5 hours try just tested my wee and blood pressure and listened to baby with sonicaid then gave me the same advice that Id already been given over the phone! Hmm Angry
DH has just nipped into Tesco for emergency big pants (have soaked 3 pairs already despite Tena night time pads!!Shock ) Contractions have started so just want to get back home and get Tens on and bounce this baby down on my ball! Hope they'll be some good news by the morning! Smile

NewYearNewBoo · 25/02/2013 20:34

whimsicalname · 25/02/2013 22:35

Sorry for that rather abortive post, I was just checking in while #3 was on the potty, but #4 started crying as he announced he'd done a poo and the phone rang.

So, upshot, brooking for olives.

ScrambledSmegs · 25/02/2013 23:22

Ooh, good luck Olives!

whimsicalname · 26/02/2013 02:33

Any news olives? Knowing my children's tag team sleeping patterns, I'm likely to be up most of the night!

GreenOlives · 26/02/2013 06:35

I need more brooking! It would appear that my body is fairly shit at labour just as it was last time. Contractions every 5 mins or so, painful but not increasing, have been going all night so Im knackered and despondent Sad Got checked at hospital at midwife, wasn't dilating and no chance of using the birth pool at any point as its been condemned due to leaking!! Sad If no progress by 4pm today (24hrs since waters went) then they'll want to start induction drip - I really don't want that but if I have to I think I'll have to have an epidural Sad This is so not what I wanted.

GreenOlives · 26/02/2013 06:37

Meant to say got checked at midnight (although obviously it was by a midwife!)

NewYearNewBoo · 26/02/2013 07:04

Oh Olives brooking for you like bilio ThanksBrew you are doing brilliantly!!!!

clickingtock · 26/02/2013 08:35

Keep your chin up, olives. You are going to have your beautiful brooking baby in your arms soon so try to focus on that. If you can have showers and baths at home in between tens machine does that help? Hope you get dilating before 4pm today. X

BartletForTeamGB · 26/02/2013 08:45

olives, I will do lots of brooking for you, but if you do end up with the drip and the epidural, don't get too disappointed. I was really surprised about what a positive experience it all was. I'd definitely recommend the epidural before the drip. If I need to be induced again, that's what I'd do next time. It was kept nice and light and could have been turned up quite a bit more if I'd needed it.

What is the plan now? I'm hoping that all those contractions are doing something. Do you have to go in at 4pm to be examined again?

Not long before you have your lovely baby in your arms though! Keep your eyes on the prize! Flowers

GreenOlives · 26/02/2013 09:17

Yep, back in at 4 unless things become unbearable before then. Just had a bath which was nice and feel more relaxed now that DS has gone off to school and we have the house to ourselves (mum and step dad stayed in spare room so we could dash off if necessary)
Tired and tearful but trying to stay positive, thanks for the brooking and I know its not important how this baby arrives as long as its safely.

TheLittleFriend · 26/02/2013 09:40

Thinking of you Green, not long til you've got your baby in your arms xx
