Woo, one little happy heartbeat, was hiding at first but then decided to come to the front and play. Grin

kittenskittenskittens · 11/12/2012 10:30

Yours or mine? Lol we could be hospital bed buddies!
Dd is abit early really, my mum is a pusher as I was trained at 18 months and dsis got ds to use it from around 9 months, he's always done his poos on them and usually a wee, he was totally done at 2 and a half, dd is 15 months and although always did something poo's and weed from 9 months ( I only put her on first thing in the morning and in the afternoon ) the times she usually did a poo she's gone backwards, she thinks it's a seat to watch tele and only sits on it for 10 seconds thinks she's great then goes and hides to do a poo lol very anoying but I may just leave it till she's older now as its more frustrating, she's just too much of a live wire and likes running around where as my nephew liked sitting with books etc, I definatly think if she did it shed love the praise as she does love to clap herself etc but she hasn't done anything on it in months now even when Ive got her to sit on it for 20mins with books etc and promptly does it as soon as I put her nappy on again Angry

kittenskittenskittens · 11/12/2012 10:31

Yeay for heart beats Grin

MrsBri · 11/12/2012 10:48

Hello!

My scan went well :-) Measuring 12+5, which isn't possible, so must just be tall!

Scanning lady said all looks good. Proper little baby!

So relieved.

kittenskittenskittens · 11/12/2012 10:54

Yeay Nic that's great news, does that make you further then you thought then? If yes keep the date just think if you need to get induced!!

MrsBri · 11/12/2012 10:58

3 days ahead...I'll keep that as I get a sweep at 40+5 or possible induction at 40+12. I'm happy to go forward!

Wriggly little bugger! :-)

kittenskittenskittens · 11/12/2012 11:26

Don't forget to put your pic up! Grin

Lorelei353 · 11/12/2012 12:41

Great news nic. Love the little wriggly stories.

bringonthetrumpets · 11/12/2012 16:22

Great news Bri!

Totally feel your pain, Kitty on the potty training front! DS2 is 2.5 and is interested on some days (when he knows there are m&ms waiting for every wee done on the potty) and can't be bothered when we're either a) out of m&ms or b)is at montessori school and he doesn't get big, huge praises and sweets. Now when we ask him if he needs to use the potty he just replies with "no thank you". Hoping that he will pick it up again if we switch over to skittles Grin Nothing like bribing children!

Blending · 11/12/2012 16:43

It's amazing to hear that little heartbeat Frus and think that it will keep on doing that for the next 80 years! (When some said that to me I was in floods of tears!)

Hurrah for wriggly little buggers! Definitely keep the date, but don't tell anyone so you can avoid all the "haven't you had it yet?" Type comments. If I thought for one minute I would last until my edd I would have added a week on it just to avoid all the well meaning comments about curry, long walks, pineapple and sex!

Sorry for those with ms still, nature has a sense if humour which makes us forget the less than savoury parts of pregnancy. I guess there would be a lot of only children otherwise!

Thanks for the concern, I'm doing fine, t really helps to off load here, in fact I felt so much better when I said I was struggling...like there I've said it now, It's off my chest! You ladies are really fantastic to put up with a whinge bag like me, especially as in real life I just smile and get on with it.

Librarina · 11/12/2012 21:54

A happy day of news all round - wriggly babies and heartbeats and feeling a little bit better and I got a pair of hot pink skinny cords in the Gap sale. I would never have bought anything skinny, or for that matter hot pink to go on my bottom half pre-pregnancy but my new shape is giving me a new confidence. I may wear maternity trousers for ever though, they're just so comfy!

kittenskittenskittens · 11/12/2012 22:38

Check you out miss thing ( clicks fingers at on side to lib)
I must say you are braver then me lol

Jojobells1986 · 11/12/2012 23:11

Eek! It's been so quiet around here that it'd disappeared off my recent threads! I've got a horrible cold which has made my throat sore & is making the ms worse! I've gone from feeling v nauseated to gagging without warning several times a day! Sad

Glad to hear other people are having exciting scans & appointments! No idea when my next appt is supposed to be - I was told at my booking appt that they'd call to arrange but I've not heard anything. I'll have to check my flow-chart!

bringonthetrumpets · 12/12/2012 00:15

Oh la la Librarina! I second the wearing-maternity-trousers-forever notion! Although from prior experience, I'll be dying to wear normal jeans again at 2 weeks postpartum after being sick to death of wearing the same clothes over and over again.

So sorry to hear about your MS Jo! That doesn't sound fun at all Sad. Hope you have a speedy cold recovery!

Lorelei353 · 12/12/2012 10:00

Ooh, I saw those cords Librarina but not really a colour that worked for me. I am in the Gap below-the-bump skinny jeans though. Very comfy.

Librarina · 12/12/2012 21:38

I'm not 100% sure they work for me Lorelei but I loved them and they were half price so I thought I'd take a chance!

I am being punished for my hubris in feeling so well so far by being afflicted with a stinking horrid cold. In bed with a large hot Ribena and a packet of Rennie. I'm so Rock and Roll.

Blending · 13/12/2012 10:36

Sorry you've got a cold Libraina, its horrible not being able to take anything for it.

As for clothes, I am properly into maternity things now, and my last pregnancy was mostly a summer/autumn one so lots of stuff not warm enough. I've just bought a few Isabella Oliver dresses, from ebay. One the "Emily" was BNWT and at £42 less than half price. They look amazing as they really flatter your shape. I figured I will still wear them a while after birth, so I'll get 6-8 months out of them so its worth getting some things I really like. The others are classic wrap dresses, which I found last time grew nicely with the bump.

Frosty day here, just going to snuggle on the couch all day...Little Blending is a demonic child who was awake all night and wouldn't settle, but is now full of beans and bouncing everywhere! Spots are clearing, so I think if it was Chichen Pox it was a mild case. At least shes not ill over Christmas.

Hope everyones MS is behaving today x

Jojobells1986 · 13/12/2012 12:46

Lib I'm feeling rubbish too! We're out of squash & honey & lemon makes me feel nauseated so I'm really sulking! Sad Oh well, this too shall pass... Hopefully before Christmas & we can all have a happy, healthy, alcohol-free holiday! Smile

kittenskittenskittens · 13/12/2012 14:27

There's nothing fun about an alcohol free Xmas! As luck would have it my aversion to the thought of alcohol seems to have completely lifted as though to taunt me Sad

Jojobells1986 · 13/12/2012 17:12

I know the feeling - I'm having cravings for ouzo or a long island iced tea! Yum! Sad

kittenskittenskittens · 13/12/2012 19:56

A nice cold bottle of corona Jojo Sad
How bad would it be for me to have one Xmas morning??

Blending · 13/12/2012 22:09

It's your own personal judgement call, but I think one on Christmas day wouldn't cause me any concern, and as I discovered today I'm having to cook Christmas dinner for 8 (due to Dsis marital problems I fully intend to have either a G&T or a glass of champers on Christmas day as I will be working bloody hard!

The recent study on intellect which said that children lost several IQ points if the mother was a moderate drinker, and this was classed as 1 to 6 units per week. There is a huge difference in 6 units (ie a drink nearly every day) and the infrequent 5 times I drank a glass of wine in my last pregnancy (yes I can remembered every single one!)

I think its all balance and perspective

Blending · 13/12/2012 22:09

Gawd I suddenly want a drink!

bringonthetrumpets · 14/12/2012 02:11

Yes, Blending I totally agree with you. There is a massive difference between continuously drinking throughout the pregnancy and having a very occasional, small drink. I also had 3-4 (total) small glasses of red wine with my second because my damn uterus wouldn't settle down and the constant contractions at the end of pregnancy were annoying and hard to fall asleep with. My midwife actually suggested a glass of red wine with a warm bath to help them go away! I think I'll probably join the family with some bubbly on NYE....it would be way too depressing to travel all the way back to England after being away for a year and a half and not have anything to drink whilst there. Everyone will be so drunk by midnight anyways so it's not like they'd notice Grin.

Librarina · 14/12/2012 19:36

I was planning on having a glass of Prosecco on Christmas Day but tbh I'm not entirely convinced i would enjoy it and I'd just get annoyed with DH for finishing the rest of the bottle. I've got some lovely winter punch and mulled apple juice for me and other non drinkers to enjoy at the party we'll be hosting.

I still have my cold, feeling very sorry for my grumpy, snotty little self.
