Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
applepieinthesky · 11/11/2012 10:58

I have doubts about my due date as well comrade. The calculations they do are based on having an average cycle of 28 days but my cycle is always 34-35 days which I don't think anyone has asked me. But they say the scan is the most accurate way of predicting the due date so we'll see.

Chunkychicken · 11/11/2012 11:35

I'm most certainly NOT posting that I'm getting cx BUT I seem to have quite frequent tightenings & back pain that seem to be coming quite regularly (although not timing as such) & need breathing/rocking hips through. Will continue as normal in the meantime, so I don't scare anything off...Hmm

Lilliana · 11/11/2012 12:09

Thought we might have some more babies this morning! How is Cacacaz getting on? Hope things are moving / have moved for you.

Pass I'm the same and have felt better for the past 8 months than I have for years. Maybe I was meant to have a baby (even though I've never been completely sure about it!)

Does anyone know if it's ok to go back on the pill when BF? I've always used the pill as the implant freaks me out and the coil seems to cause as many problems as it solves!

Chunky hope you are having a nice, normal day and cx are getting on well

shanelle5 · 11/11/2012 12:18

Morning all. detective did you get that shag? Ark at me getting all nosy about anyone else's business Blush
Well, not sure if im moving at last or not. Am having really quite painfull tightenings, feel different to before's obvious BX and take my breath away. Feel all pressure in my bottom as well as the pain in tummy. They are not particularly regular or close together though, having about 5-6 an hour after being woken by 3 wicked ones early morning. Got up to more bloody show. All sounds good but not really progressing and if it is then its very slow hence my being unsure as to whether its just the same latent stage I seem to have been in since Wednesday! Confused Oh well, guess im not gonna miss it if it does turn into actual labour am I so may just continue on pottering as each time I get fat arse of sofa it kicks off soo.....

applepieinthesky · 11/11/2012 12:31

Was supposed to be going out with my mum today. Rushed round the house getting ready because I wasn't even dressed and took the dog for a walk only to get a call saying there has been a change of plan. So now not going anywhere Angry She said she feels bad now and I hope she does. Was then moaning that I haven't been round hers for dinner go ages. Err... yeh because you were ill and told me to stay away Hmm Fucked off and upset now. I was feeling good earlier as well.

StuntNun · 11/11/2012 12:34

Pasties that was me but MIL is now back in the picture so it'll be easier for the two of them to manage. She was talking about staying here when I go into labour so she can get them to school. I really hope that doesn't happen as they are a pain to get ready for school.

I have been back in bed MNing and snoozing for three hours this morning. That's an early sign of labour right? Right? Maybe I will have to have that induction after all. I know all the new mummies on the PN thread are crying out for more sleep so I'm banking as much as I can now.

The one time I need my mum the most and she hasn't been there Sad I love my parents but there is only 1 person in the world who has never let me down and that's DP.

CharleeWarlee · 11/11/2012 12:43

I feel the same apple He holds my hand through everything. If I have a serious problem the rest of the family just shrug it off.

With my last pregnancy I felt terrible all the way through and yes there was always something wrong with me everyday. One day my mum told me I was over reacting and to stop being such a hypochondriac. Needless to say she was very sympathetic when things turned out the way they did.

She hasnt learnt her lesson though Hmm

WaitingForMe · 11/11/2012 12:52

We did something new last night. DTD has been pretty much off the cards as I've felt so swollen and uncomfortable down there but I had the idea that DH could hypnotise me in order to do my perennial massage. It worked really well with has really increased my confidence for hypnobirthing.

He tends to get a bit excited when he does it but fired up with the success I suggested he put me back in a hypnotic state and we have sex. Which has to be just about the least sexy come on ever. Again, very effective Blush

I can't believe life has come to this Confused

I weighed myself this morning. 1st 12lb put on. DH remarked that it seemed like a lot more. Cocky bastard now he's had some action Hmm

CharleeWarlee · 11/11/2012 12:58

LMAO waiting i'd love to have just put 1st 12lb on...try my 3st Sad

StuntNun · 11/11/2012 13:26

I just got up from a nap (on my right hand side) and baby's bum has moved to my right hand side, so far over he's practically in my back! The doctor said he was 1/5 engaged on Friday but his head must have come out for his bum to be so far over. Does that mean he's oblique or transverse now? A few days ago I was having period pains, BHs all the time and the odd contraction. Now there's no sign of labour at all. Could that be down to his position and if so, how do I get him back into position? I'm 40+3 and not worried about going over but I would prefer to go into labour naturally than have another induction. I'm willing to try the whole curry/ DTD/pineapple routine but I strongly suspect it's pointless if the baby isn't anywhere near my cervix to get things going. Does anyone have any tips? My last two were delivered at 40+1 so I wasn't expecting to go too far past my due date.

Was expecting a few more babies by now!

Good luck to cacacaz sounds like things could be happening with you, I had some period type pains last night but nothing major and no more today.

Good luck for today pass hope the induction works quickly

Have we heard from detective this morning? Perhaps DTD did the job for her?!?

Welcome toomanydicks ! Love the name Smile.

Your post about hypnotising for DTD made me laugh waiting

Sorry your mum has let you down today apple Sad

Went out for a nice breakfast this morning, it's always nicer when someone else does the cooking! It's a beautiful day daan sarf too, perfect for remembrance day Smile

applepieinthesky · 11/11/2012 14:08

I'll get over it. She does things without thinking sometimes and I don't think she means to be hurtful. It just makes me appreciate DP even more.

Yes it is a lovely day today kissyfur. Makes a change from the non-stop rain and grey skies. Not that cold either.

I suspect there will be more baby announcements by this evening judging by the quietness of the thread. I love looking at all the baby photos on fb.

Chunkychicken · 11/11/2012 14:09

StuntNun · 11/11/2012 14:11

Brockle · 11/11/2012 14:22

Yay chunky I was hoping you would pop before the consultant appointment tomorrow! detective is very quiet today...I am on the ball watching a cheesy christmas movie on the christmas movie channel. Also rearranged the baby clothes drawer just to taunt myself

georgee · 11/11/2012 14:30

Hurrah chunky and cacacaz! Thinking of you both! (Belated) congratulations Debussy

Very impressed by the hypnotism waiting! I bet he's cocky this morning, having hypnotised you into it - eat your heart out Paul McKenna! Seriouisly though, really does bode well for how you'll cope when it kicks off. I'm very impressed and I'm going to go and listen to my hypnotherapy CD right now!

All better here by the way, it was truly a 24 hour tummy bug, pretty much to the hour, and I'm full of beans today. Obviously nowhere near having a baby but very much into nesting!

MissMummy1 · 11/11/2012 14:36

Go go go chunky !

Good luck for today pass!!

Stupid question, what do contractions feel like? Blush I woke up in the middle of the night with a sharp sort of tight feeling right around my bump. Happened twice. Nothing since. Braxton hicks? I have another week of keeping legs crossed while mning from my home office work before junior can arrive and keep my accountant happy!!

Having a totally lazy day. Justified I was essentially up all night as well so went back to bed with dh when he got home from work this morning Blush. But now his snoring is annoying me so I've decamped downstairs for a duvet day in front of the tv. I hate him working nights, it's soooo lonely!

On another note he's now getting pissed off with everyone asking if we've had a baby yet! We're not even due for another 2.5 weeks but our lack of baby is apparently hot conversation on the boat radios Hmm

ShellyBobbs · 11/11/2012 14:37

Sorry to do this to you girls, but I've joined the new mummy club Grin

Pootractions started about 3am, had a few rabbit droppings and got back into bed. Had some more rabbit droppings about 4am, then just decided to get up, was thinking, 'is this it?', then thinking not because although coming quite regular, they weren't that strong and more like pootractions.

Had a CRACKING one at 5.55am, called midwife, she arrived about 6.40, I was 6-7cm, next midwife arrived around 7am, I was beginning to bear down. All this time hubby was frantically trying to fill the pool with pans of hot water because we'd used all the hot water. Finally managed to get in!

Tommy Dylan Angus born at 8.05 weighing 7lb 3oz, very easy birth and all drug free. Have already had the black pooey nappies and have been wee'd on Grin

No more pregnancy, hurray!

Good luck all who are overdue / due and Detective fingers crossed for you x

MissMummy1 · 11/11/2012 14:42

WOW! Congrats shelly !!! Love the name, Tom Angus is a very old family name for us and goes back generations - still undecided on first name but if we're team blue Angus will definitely be a middle name! (not because junior was conceived the week before we moved away from Angus in Scotland...)

Your labour sounds wonderful too! No drugs?! What a pro!! Enjoy newborn snuggles!

I'm now debating hypnotism in prep for dtd - we've done it twice since 20 weeks. First time I cried, second time he threw up immediately afterwards (he was ill at the time). Safe to say all romance in our relationship is well and truly dead! Sharing a bed is concidered a novelty right now!!

kissyfur · 11/11/2012 14:47

Congrats shelly that sounds like a lovely birth Smile Thanks

And congrats debussy think I missed your birth announcement Blush

ShellyBobbs · 11/11/2012 14:49

Thanks MM, my dad's Scottish so it's a nod to that side Grin
