Sophiathesnowfairy - I will also not be one of the lucky ones that just spring back, not sure my body is made that way. I will just be thrilled to wear my early maternity clothes for some time and will be looking forward to getting out and about which should help with getting back into "normal clothes".

ComradeJing · 17/11/2012 07:35

Just a quick wave. Edd today.

Congratulations Stunt and Blue!

katkit1 · 17/11/2012 07:40

ComradeJing - good luck. Mines is on Monday!!

misslaughalot · 17/11/2012 08:13

Happy due date comrade, mine is Monday too!

Catbag · 17/11/2012 08:44

Lol @ detectivelet!

I'm still in jogging bottoms, four weeks after my cs. I can't fit into my normal clothes (size10) at all, and my maternity jeans all seem to rub on my incision area. I tried to wear them anyway for a couple of days just so that I felt a bit more together and human, but had to give up because it hurt too much. I wouldn't mind so much, but I've never worn tracky bottoms in my life before and in my head I might as well still be wearing my hospital gown, iykwim.

I haven't dared weigh myself yet, just cos I'll start fixating on it. I'm definitely another one for running and whatnot to try and get fit, but at the mo that's completely unfeasible so I shall have to make do with pushing the twins around my market town in my tracky bottoms!

Can't wait until we're all on one thread again- it's knackering trying to keep up with two!

katkit1 · 17/11/2012 09:08

Catbag - I didn't think about scars perhaps making maternity jeans sore and pointless to try and wear afterwards. Ouch! Ouch!

katkit1 · 17/11/2012 09:10

I have a slight tight, sore tummy but I think it's from balancing a hot lap top on baby bump. I'm probably cooking him a bit.

StuntNun · 17/11/2012 09:32

Big respect to Pikz for hitting the red wine before 7 in the morning, and while pregnant too lol! Seriously though it is awful trying to clear things like that up at the best of times, usually you end up with a splatter pattern worthy of Dexter.

No babies last night?

It's my EDD today - no sign yet but after the worst nights sleep I'm not sure I have the energy today!

ValiumQueen · 17/11/2012 10:10

Ooh Dexter! I loves Dexter and his splatters.

YellowWellies · 17/11/2012 11:25

I treated myself to a BFing dress from Frugi - I loves it. Totally worth the money.

FatimaLovesBread · 17/11/2012 12:20

Afternoon everyone!
I didn't post again yesterday, ended up crying for a good 30mins-1hour because of my crappy Auntie. My Mum's not happy, my sister is livid and is tempted to write a nice passive aggressive card back. My Auntie is one of those who will manage to turn it round so you're in the wrong and took it the wrong way and she was just trying to be helpful.
My DH was v angry as well, he's said there not coming anywhere near this baby when it's born after upsetting me like that and if he sees my Auntie he'll say something. I haven't seen him so angry for a long time.

Anyway, I feel strange today. Quite knackered, it's a struggle to walk and the bump is so low it's uncomfortable. I'm getting period pains that are edging towards making me breathless and I feel quite sick. Don't want to tempt fate and think something is happening though. And today's the wrong day... I'm a Godmother tomorrow and we've got a funeral on Monday morning. It needs to hold off until Monday afternoon at least.

Clarella · 17/11/2012 12:26

So sorry to read what your auntie said fatima. Totally uncalled for. But glad ur family on your side!

I too am feeling strange - keep getting mild funny ache in back that comes and goes and mildly crampy at front. Thought pootractions but ive been and theyre still happening. I can still put it down to swimming last two days and over stretching lazy muscles but its unerving.

FatimaLovesBread · 17/11/2012 12:34

Thanks Clarella. Yes no doubt mine will be pootractions and i'll get all excited for nothing. Fingers crossed for both of us Smile

Hello lovely ladies.while I have a spare min I thought I would post my BS. Elanna is 9 days old now and my god it has gone so fast. Sending lots and lots of labour vibes to everyone still left.

So I was 39+2 on Tuesday and about 10 o clock on the evening I had about 3 cracking contractions they ended up being nothing but lost what I believe was my 3rd show. (Lost my show early at 33 weeks then again at 36) anyway....... Wednesday Morning I woke up feeling fine and forgot about the night before.DD was poorly so I sat with her most of time on the sofa at about 12ish I started to notice niggly pains Everytime I got up and walked around the house I didn't want to get my hopes up but at the back of my mind I was hoping it was the start. Que the text from my mum at about 2ish and I explained to her what was happening.i carried on as normal and at about 4ish I walked round my mums just to have a chat and take my mind off things a little bit(DH worried immensely about this lol) well mother made me walk round the living room for about 4 hours lol which I can tell you was hard work. It got to about 9 o clock and they were coming about every 4-5 mins and were quite incomfortable so all systems go.....picked up DH and went to LW when I got there I was examined at I was 3 cm and 75% effaced with waters bulging so I walked around the hospital till 4 in the morning had another examination and still no progress I can tell you I was pissed rite off.(my DH my mum my dad all stayed with me till 4 so we were all hanging) anyway everything seemed to be slowing down and came to a total ground halt. I was gutted and felt like a total failure. So we went home and I got about 3 hours sleep. Woke up at half 10 had a shower did my make up and hair and didn't have one single bloody contraction. My mum came round at half 11 and told me to walk around the block (I was thinkin you can shove it mother lol I'm tired and it ain't gonna do jack shit) well to my utter disapproval I did it anyway....... Well after a couple of laps my giddy aunt it worked I started to get more painful niggly pains and they felt different than the night before.my mum was jumping up and down and my DH shit himself as they could see it was a lot more painful for me. Well in my state of panic and contractions coming thick and fast at 2-3 mins apart I rang my midwife instead of LW.(luckily my midwife is my mums friend lol) so MW came to my house and obviously seen I was in a lot of pain and I asked for a VE I was now 4cm and fully effaced.....RESULT! We arrived at hospital I had 3 contractions on the car and when I was checked in hospital I was 5cm I arrived at hospital at 2.55pm and elanna Rae was born at 5.14pm after 4 pushes and a labour just on G&A.

So that's my BS sorry its so long lol

Congratulations to everyone who has given birth and good luck to all those still waiting

TheDetective · 17/11/2012 13:54

Still here... 42 weeks. Sanity is quickly buggering off.

I was contracting 1:5, from 8pm last night, all stopped by midnight. I could have cried.

Why is my body just teasing me? WHY??!!

Fatima You're Aunt sounds like a total bitch. I'm afraid in my current frame of mind, my reply would have made sure she never spoke to me again! Nasty woman! Hope you feel better today. Have you been to watch Twilight yet? Go and see it! It cheered me up yesterday!

TheDetective · 17/11/2012 13:55

Oh, and I forgot to add that I got a terrible headache at the same time as the contractions, thanks to the Clary Sage!!

And I've got a shitty sore throat, dry cough and snuffly nose. It's been building the last 4 days. I don't feel up to pushing a baby out today!

Just had a phone call from the community midwives, checking I wasn't going in to labour as one of their first time mums who is having a homebirth has rang up ?labour. So obviously, if she is labouring, and I do... we're buggered.

Well, it will have to stay inside for another day...!!

Clarella · 17/11/2012 15:28

Oh gawd detective its like some awful black comedy except its not that funny for you any more....

Bet, because of that, it wont! just to be awkward! Grin

Clarella · 17/11/2012 15:29

Would back contractions be constant or come in waves? Or is it just a late pregnancy thing?

TheDetective · 17/11/2012 15:39

Am sat here crying my eyes out, given myself a headache. I just got everything out - in case. I can't even bring myself to say it. I've put it all in the cot. I don't have a bag. Will have to lend one I suppose.

I've typed up a list for DP of other things he will need to add depending...

Feel like a failure. And this headache can sod off :(

TheDetective · 17/11/2012 15:40

Usually come in waves Clarella but can start off like a constant ache. It really varies from person to person though.

MissMummy1 · 17/11/2012 15:42

I am craving sweets. Of the pick n mix variety. We have no junk food in the house at all! Selfish bastard my darling man doesn't see this as a pregnancy emergency and is refusing to leave the village for supplies. AIBU to want to castrate him?! (he also spilt espresso over my freshly steamed kitchen floor this morning, it's all been downhill from there). No signs of anything happening here, I'm totally knackered though. Hence the gnarlyness.... Blush

MissMummy1 · 17/11/2012 15:43

((hugs)) to you detective. You sound like you need them xxx
