Sorry - I've let you all down again!

Watching Twilight this morning, monitoring this afternoon, and food shopping and a walk this evening!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! GET THIS BABY OUT OF MEEEEEEEE!!!

I was in pieces yesterday, just a total shitter of a day, so sorry for missing anything on here, I struggled to focus on much! Anyway, less self centered and feeling sorry for myself after a more positive day! CTG was much better - DP has had the blame for yesterdays crap one - I blamed being stressed! Although it might of had something to do with lack of food before too... made sure I had lunch Burger King today! Had yet another sweep Grin. Surely I've had the most by now! Anyway, I insisted on a proper make me cry sweep, and am now crampy and have pinky red loss yay! The last 2 sweeps were shit Grin. If it don't feel like it's coming out your throat, it ain't gonna work...!!!!

I still don't think it will amount to anything though, but I've been for a walk since, and am bouncing on the ball as I type badly. Oh, and on the plus side there was nothing on my cervix, so god knows what she felt yesterday... Confused.

Congratulations Stunt was thinking of you last night, glad to hear you are well, despite the stressful nature of the birth.

Congratulations Blue I want a birth like that!

CharleeWarlee · 16/11/2012 18:35

Ill have a baby by Monday Detective ... still up for that race? Wink On the other hand im glad your having a better day today.

I too have had enough of my limited wardrobe. Leggings/jeggings with a vest top and maternity hoody for the last 8/9 weeks!

TheDetective · 16/11/2012 18:39

I'd like to say yes, but it seems I'm not very good at actually getting these things out of me Grin.

Must try harder...!!

I'm on a limited wardrobe too! You ladies are not alone! Oh, and as for matching knickers and bras. Well, they do match. I have black knickers, and black bras. Ergo, they match. Job's a goodun!

Chunkychicken · 16/11/2012 19:08

Congrats blue. I had a similar home birth experience and felt wonderful really.

Fingers crossed you get that too detective.

MissMummy1 · 16/11/2012 19:58

I only know I have that many pairs as he made me count them Blush. Chances are most of them will end up on eBay post baby as I doubt my hips will ever shrink to an 8/10 again. A 12 would make me happy right now!

Had a lovely day with my sister but now knackered. My feet are in agony!!

TheDetective · 16/11/2012 21:20

DP is out watching Twilight. On his own Grin.

Me and DS are watching Eclipse on dvd. More tightenings and cramp. That will amount to feck all probably. I'm not going to bed though. I'm staying up and damn well making this labour happen!!!! RAAAAAH!

georgee · 16/11/2012 21:44

That's right detective, you show that baby who's boss!! I'll be waving a pom pom for you from Edinburgh! Good luck!!

TheDetective · 16/11/2012 21:46

I've got a headache from the clary sage.... and I've managed to use the whole bottle, and now ran out. D'oh!!!

Brockle · 16/11/2012 22:49

YW I have a good few feeding vests that I wore under shirts and jumpers for feeding. I have a few feeding aprons too so I could just wear normal tops and pull them up in public places and not feel too exposed.

detective get on that birthing ball and give him a good talking to in your sternest mummy voice. That works right? Smile

MissMummy1 · 16/11/2012 22:49

FC something happens soon detective.

I've spent all evening wrapping christmas presents. Still a fair few to get, and hampers for 3 sets of parents to fill, but feeling uber organised!

I have massive blisters on my feet from all the walking I did today. Unfortunately that's all it seemed to achieve, hoped the pain would maybe be worth it if it encouraged junior get wriggle on - mission (so far) unsuccessful. Sad

MissMummy1 · 16/11/2012 22:50

*to get a

Iheartpasties · 17/11/2012 01:23

ahh, I'm having 5 mins peace and quiet, my mum and dh have taken dd1 out for her swimming lesson and dd2 is asleep! yey. I've just stuffed some choc down my throat and now I'm gunna watch some west wing :)

Thinking of you all and sending good labour vibes.

lane81 I'm right there with you! I am hoping to go shoping next week and find some sort of breastfeeding friendly tops. I'm holding off on buying a ny new bras just yet though as my boobs are massive and I'm hoping they might settle down a bit in a couple of weeks

jenbird · 17/11/2012 05:33

Pregnancy insomnia. Love it....(not).
Just been catching up. Congratulations blue and stunt.
On the clothes and returning to normality front I can't wait. Having been pregnant or breast feeding for the last 8 years virtually continuously I am really looking forward to getting my body back and feeling like me again. I have bought a body wrap for after the birth and as soon as I can I will get to the gym/start running. I know that sounds shallow but it has been such a big part of my identity I really miss it.
At 39+4 I organised a charity fireworks event last night. Didn't sit down all day and think I am paying for the stress of it now. It went really well except a small group of boys totally trashed some straws bales that were lent to us and I have spent all night worrying about letting the farmer know. I feel really irrationally emotional.
Am hoping it may be the start of something. This baby already feels like a whopper (midwife est 8lb at moment). The last one born at term was 9lb so I don't fancy going over.
Right going to try for sleep.

pikz · 17/11/2012 05:49

Er where has morning nausea/sickness suddenly re appeared from at 39+5?

jenbird · 17/11/2012 06:00

Clear out pikz? Could be start of something..

pikz · 17/11/2012 06:03

jenbird would love that but I doubt it!

You ok? All going to be alright with the straw bales?

pikz · 17/11/2012 07:01

Well today is going just ace...entire bottle of red wine smashed on kitchen floor before 7am and getting increasingly frustrated at not being able to clear it up properly as cant bend for very long... :(

katkit1 · 17/11/2012 07:20

Pikz - argh! bad start. Hope it improves.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/11/2012 07:22

Great news stunt love the name.

Well, there may be those of you who pop back into normal clothes within weeks, but depressingly that is not me. Sad I am still in maternity clothes and probably will be for another couple of weeks then I will be in my size 14s for a while and fully anticipate 18 months till I am back to my 10/12 normal size.

It just takes my body that long to recover in more ways than one. So for those of you who are like me don't get consent. Like I do.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 17/11/2012 07:24

*despondent not consent!

katkit1 · 17/11/2012 07:25

MissMummy1 - I've been wrapping presents too. I doubted I would have the energy to deal with it once baby arrives.

Clarella · 17/11/2012 07:27

Congratulations stunt and blue! :)

COME ON DETECTIVELET!

oh thats pants pikz

Im guessing that mild period pain (i never really had it tbh but the few times i did its pretty similar) and a hot ache in lower back could be a niggle that i'll potentially live with on and of for a good couple of weeks? 38+5. I can totally blame it on an energetic swim on thurs and aquanatal on fri after not stepping foot in the pool for 2 weeks.
