I totally understand Lane but honestly I found a sweep just jigged things on a bit. The pains were no worse or intense, it just started everything off. Not a bad thing to leave things to nature though.

I apologise for previous freaky post. I am putting it down to lack of sleep.

Crossing fingers for peeps tonight, esp detective! I know of a gp on her third who had 5 or even 6 sweeps every other day utterly determined not to be induced!

I was surprised to get my sweep booked in for tues 27th nov, 40+1 at mw today. Baby still very very low wedged in same position head down, back slightly to left) . Feels a bit like getting a badge of honour!

Midwife today. Baby's head still floating free - although pointed down, which is something (I was wondering!).

Oh I haven't got a sweep booked. I've a consultant appointment to discuss induction at 39+5 and then midwife appointment at 41 weeks. Wonder if they'll do a sweep at the consultant appointment. Although I really want this baby out before then, really reluctant to go down the induction at 40 weeks route

Mw gleefully and proudly informed me shes supposed to have magic hands and a notoriously good track record with sweeps - i interpreted that as 'vigourous' .... and glancing at her hands theyre not dainty

Asked about perineal massage, she said not really proven to work, i thought, gonna get me prepared for those hands at the least, honey - need to get shagging.

Bored of this now! Feeling like a timebomb!

I'd just like a little 'told you so' for my SIL. I ranted here a good few weeks ago, when she booked her DS's christening for 18th November, and asked DP to be a godparent. I pointed out that it would be unlikely for us to be able to be there and therefore he couldn't commit to being a godparent - as I was quite sure I would go a long way overdue (she knew about me declining IOL) and anything could happen, and I anticipated probably delivering around that time or with in a few days of it. And obviously for DP being here would be a priority.

Well, here we are, 5 days away from the christening. And all she texts is 'you're not gonna be able to come to the christening are you'. No, probably not dear SIL... I did warn you! If you really wanted your brother there, you might have considered booking it just a week later... hmm?!

I'm always right.

OH FOR CHRISTSAKE.... I've been weaing my leggings inside out... since my sweep.

DP was moaning because I said if I haven't had the baby i'll go friday lunch time while DS is in school. DP is in work friday and can't come with me, so he will have to go alone! He doesn't want to go on his own. He muttered something about none of his mates will go and see it! I told him to go with his mum . We've been to see them all together - he loves it, has read all the books! In fact he read them before me!

It's ok, crisis averted! If I can't go Friday - they have it on the Mother and baby Club on Monday... (I assume fathers can attend too )so if I do have baby... we can go together!!

Blimey that's good, they don't have that at the one near us! But that's a cineworld

I love my cinema! It's cheap too! Tuesdays are £2.95 a ticket! They are much cheaper than Cineworld/Odeon.

Plus if I go on one of the 'expensive' days we get student tickets from the booking machine at cheaper prices and no one ever checks them bahahaha.
