Morning all, congratulations to all the new mummies! Nothing to report here, although my dog is acting weird around me, keeps following me around, this happened the day before I went in to labour last time so you never know. I'm seeing the midwife this morning, I felt quite sick yesterday and had BH all day. Good luck for today everyone Smile

daisychain76 · 13/11/2012 09:17

Aw, congratulations on all the new arrivals and good luck to everyone who has things happening. Sorry, too tired to namecheck

StuntNun · 13/11/2012 09:18

Ripe sounds good Chunky! The BHs have started up again. Maybe the 13th will be an auspicious day for me! I just wish I could get baby into the right position. I had Rogan Josh for lunch yesterday, Dhansak (too hot!) for dinner, DTD, slept all night on my left even though it's not comfy and makes me snore. Today I have walked the boys to school, Sainsburys are bringing a delivery of pineapple, I'll go on the cross trainer for a bit and I have leftover curry for lunch.

Have I missed anything? It's probably a bit late to get an exercise ball now. I was 1-2cm dilated at my sweep on Friday so I think I just need to get baby's head somewhere near my cervix to get things going as I'm at 40+5. I confessed to DH that I was only interested in him for his prostaglandins but he didn't seem to mind!

stunt that proper made me laugh.

I am also trying wear lovely new underwear I bought for Xmas because it will end up ruined so maybe that will bring it on...

FatimaLovesBread · 13/11/2012 09:59

Congratulations to all the new mums and welcome to shiny!

Nothing's happened to me yet but I have been getting more painful BHs.

I've just been updating the stats, yesterday was the busiest day with 6 babies!!
The girls seem to be catching up as well. So far there's been 48 babies - 25 boys and 23 girls.

FatimaLovesBread · 13/11/2012 10:03

Sorry that should be 49 babies and 24 girls. Not to forget baby Daisy who was born sleeping in June

Brockle · 13/11/2012 10:23

Feeling really low today. Probably not helped by DS2 who is four having a night terror last night which after four years I have got pretty good at soothing but still tear my insides out. Then ofcourse I was awake for the next two hours wondering how on earth I am going to manage a baby and my DS's. I seesaw between excitement and outright fear at the impending birth. Need some positivity which is in short supply at the moment. My sister called and I just let it go to answer machine cos I couldn't face talking to anyone. I'm fed up of putting my happy face on. Sad

Thinking of apples and hope that belgrano puts some pics on FB as I love seeing those cute newborn faces.

I am going to sleep for hopefully the next twenty four hours

kissyfur · 13/11/2012 10:24

Congrats to belgrano!
Nothing happening here as usual but I'm happy to wait til Thursday now. Good luck to anyone things are happening for! stunt loving your list of things you'll be doing today to encourage baby out Smile

kissyfur · 13/11/2012 10:27

Hugs brockle I'm feeling a bit like that too at the mo. DD is being abit of a monkey this past week and I keep feeling guilty that the last few days we have with just me and her are a bit fraught Sad couldn't answer the phone to anyone yesterday either. Perhaps it means things are going to happen soon?

FatimaLovesBread · 13/11/2012 10:36

Sorry you're feeling crappy brockle

Sorry for the TMI but I'm having awful pootractions but finding it difficult to find a comfortable position to poo as my tummy goes rock hard with the pootraction Sad

Cannot get comfy at all today, think I may go back to bed for a bit see if that helps

StuntNun · 13/11/2012 10:49

Fatima at this stage of pregnancy going to bed always helps! You won't get the sleep afterwards so bank it now.

Wow, baby explosion! Congratulations Pass, Peaky, Shanelle, Cacacaz and Belgrano and anyone else I have missed (sorry), take care of yourselves and enjoy your new babies.

I've only just got up Blush although did spend half the night awake so hopefully caught up a bit.

Hope things are going well Apple

WaitingForMe · 13/11/2012 11:07

It's so lovely seeing so many new babies when I log into Facebook each day. I can't believe we had six yesterday! Congratulations all round.

I haven't taken any codeine since last night so I'm hopeful I'm getting over this cough and it won't turn into a chest infection. Still got my knees metaphorically clamped together!

katkit1 · 13/11/2012 11:20

I have a scan booked for today to check fluid levels - if levels are high then they may very well induce this week. I'm not sure I care either way I just want to know everything is ok

FatimaLovesBread · 13/11/2012 11:21

Good luck with your scan kat

katkit1 · 13/11/2012 11:29

Thanks Fatima - I'm so glad it's today and not tomorrow (I just want to know what is going on).

misslaughalot · 13/11/2012 12:02

Good luck kat, let us know how it goes.

Well, I headed back to bed as DP got up for work at 7 and I've just got up! Managed 4 hours of sleep with one interruption from the postie and feel like a new woman!

My bump is now squishy at the sides and very hard at the front, does this mean its baby's back I can feel at the front and he or she is getting into position? 39+1 today and can't wait for them to arrive?

Hoping apples is doing well. Where is detective?

TheDetective · 13/11/2012 12:15

Detective was banking sleep... Just getting up!! Grin

Going for sweep, I'll be back with my congratulations later! More babies Shock. I need to know the secret Wink.

applepieinthesky · 13/11/2012 12:21

Examined at 2.50 am but only 1cm dilated so got sent home again. As soon as i got home contractions were coming every 2.5-3 mins so went back in but contractions eased again as soon as i got there. very annoying. Examined at 6.50 and 3cm dilated so progress is being made but very slow.

The midwives were absolutely lovely and said it was up to me if i wanted to stay in and try pethadine or go home. I decided to come home. I think its too early to start on pain relief and will only make it harder for me later on.

Completely knackered now as i've been awake since 4.30 monday so im concerned that when the contractions ramp up again and i need to push i'll be too tired. Waters still haven't gone.

Really thought I would have had my baby by now Sad

katkit1 · 13/11/2012 12:30

Thanks Miss, I will do.

SwissArmyWife · 13/11/2012 12:32

Oh wow, so many babies arriving!! Congrats to all the new mummies!

And good luck to those who are on their way :)

I am feeling so awful at the moment. Woke up today with horrendous spd pain, the worst I've had it throughout the entire pregnancy :( BH contractions are pretty much constant and the baby shuffling around is causing so much discomfort and a lot of sharp pains. Baby is insanely active today, is this a bad sign? I'm hoping he's not distressed, should I call somebody? I have a sweep tomorrow and really hoping my body is ready now as I could cry, I'm in so much pain :( sorry to whinge :(

40+4 today...

katkit1 · 13/11/2012 12:35

It's been so lovely seeing all the new teeny and not so teeny babies on the fb page - good luck to those who will be joining in soon

Titsalinabumsquash · 13/11/2012 12:39

Wow baby explosion! Grin congratulations to all the new parents.

I'm still very much lacking in Internet or phone, I feel like a bloody hermit. Sad

J is 8 days old now, I'm still having cracking after pains but the bleeding has pretty much stopped and my hips are a lot better.
I have an advent breast pump that I can't get suction on at all so still have a small person attached to my breast pretty much always. I'm considering a dummy but maybe still too soon and I worry I'll regret it on a few weeks time.

He's co sleeping with us at night and has for the last 2 nights, latched himself onto the breast whilst I've been asleep so I've awoken to the little milk vampire happily suckling away. Grin

He's got quite spotty and has lots if dry flaky skin on his chest and tummy, can I use any massage baby creams/oils to help him?

misslaughalot · 13/11/2012 13:03

Tits Grin at milk vampire!

CharleeWarlee · 13/11/2012 13:13

Congrats to everyone that has had their babies!!

And good luck to those that are in the process of having theirs Grin

tits I used the johnsons baby gel on my daughter as she flaked quite bad. Its really oily but worked a treat!

Unfortunately I am still here, have been having the most strangest BH now for the last week+ but nothing coming regular. Have had some wipage of a snot like texture, but not the show. More like slug trials so im hoping wondering if this is the start of things coming out???!!

Read both mine and DPs star signs last week, they both said something about bonding time and a new start to things on Tuesday, only remembered an hour ago so just jumped in the shower and shaved as you do just in case Grin
