It's raining babies! Smile congrats cacacaz pass and shanelle. I love that name shanelle hope you are well. Take care of yourself Thanks

My contractions have turned up a notch in frequency and pain. Starting to believe this could be it. Excited and scared as hell. DP doesn't think it's imminent and that baby won't be here this week Shock Hmm I said if I'm still in this amount of pain a week from now then this is the first and last baby.

kissyfur · 13/11/2012 00:03

Congrats to cacacaz and shanelle!! Lots of babies today! Smile x

ComradeJing · 13/11/2012 00:04

Oh xpost Shanelle!

Congratulations to you too and :( it wasn't a happy birth.

Be kind to yourself and rest as much as you can.

applepieinthesky · 13/11/2012 00:05

Forgot to say welcome shiny

ComradeJing · 13/11/2012 00:06

kissyfur · 13/11/2012 00:08

Ooo good luck apple!

ShellyBobbs · 13/11/2012 00:32

Congratulations caracaz, pass and shanelle

blonderthanred · 13/11/2012 01:28

Wow, great to hear of all the new arrivals. The PN thread is going to start getting very busy.

Shanelle sorry you had a hard time but happy to hear you have your beautiful baby now. What a lovely name.

applepieinthesky · 13/11/2012 01:38

Now going to hospital. Contractions less than 5 mins and quite painful.

Peaky1 · 13/11/2012 02:18

So sorry to have not posted. I had a job letting all the well wishers know and Facebook was the easiest way for me (plus guilt at not having time to catch up on thread Blush ). I hope you're all as well as can be.

Wowsers! I can't even keep up with the current birthplosion happening here! I hope to keep up better on post natal and fb when I get round to it.

Aaaaanyway...I was induced for a 2nd time on Saturday lunchtime and gave birth to James Joseph George at 21:40 on 10/11/12 (am quite chuffed with the cool DOB...oh yeah and with the baby!) He weighed 8lb 14. I've been a bit tough on myself trying to adjust to motherhood (put it this way, a midwife had to help me change first nappy jn the night while i had a melt down of guilt and brain-farts apparently not remembering what to do) and its challenges but I've got good support and hope to ask lots of questions on the thread. I already have so many! Should be nice to learn some shared tips too.

Wonder if this will make anyone smile - I chugged on gas and air and was talking utter bollocks throughout but the most memorable was when I started trying to joke with DP singing (!) Eminem's song chorus 'I need a doctor, call me a doctor, I need a doctor, doctor, to bring me druuuugs' Grin when I was at about 9cm. I keep cracking myself up remembering it whilst I was gnashing the entinox mouthpiece, ha!

Peaky1 · 13/11/2012 02:18

All the best apple!!! X Smile Smile

pikz · 13/11/2012 04:20

Wow! Good luck apple and congrats caracaz, pass and shanelle

Well I'm still in the 4am club...feel very sick :(

misslaughalot · 13/11/2012 04:28

Congratulations cacacaz, shanelle and pass, gorgeous names too!

And good luck apple!

I have such a stinking cold that I've relocated to the sofa to try and let poor DP get some quality sleep. I know my body has more important things to do than fight this cold, but a little bit of effort would be appreciated, I can't breathe!

On a more positive note our nursery furniture is finally assembled, and the room is almost ready! I know baby wont be sleeping in there for a while but it's going to be a play room too so really want it all finished before baby appears!

Ok, how else to occupy myself at this time of night?!

pikz · 13/11/2012 04:31

Misslaughalot I'm considering the ironing....

misslaughalot · 13/11/2012 04:51

Blimey pikz, ironing?! I've settles for eating chocs on the sofa and catching up on the Radio 5 film podcasts from the last few weeks...not as productive as you!

Goodness gracious me, all these babies! Congratulations shanelle, cacacaz and pass!! And best of luck apple. Crossing fingers for a successful sweep detective.

Sorry to those who didn't have a great night.

Nothing to report here! Seeing the midwife later and hoping to get an idea of how the baby's positioned. Getting kicks all over so could be anywhere!

StuntNun · 13/11/2012 08:23

Woo more new arrivals and another new member! Congratulations to the new mummies and welcome to Grape. Hope things are going well for Apple.

Quick question, maybe TMI but bloody mucous when going to the loo is a 'good thing' right? I didn't have a show with either of my previous pregnancies so I'm not sure whether this is it or not. Some of the blood looks fresh but DH and I DTD last night and baby is wriggling about (still oblique) so I'm not too worried.

That sounds like a show to me Stunt ...

Forgot to say welcome Grape!

Belgrano · 13/11/2012 08:32

Gosh so many babies! Huge congrats to all of you. sorry I've not kept up with the details.

Baby Belgrano arrived on 7/11/12-yes it's taken me she's to get my act together and post anywhere! She's a whopping 9lb 2oz (I am pretty small) which just goes to show the bump measuring thing is a load of cobblers. (I had 3xgrowth scans - only measured 37cm for the last 6 weeks of preg. She was 10 days late and was big, with plenty of fluid!)

All well here. Got induced in the end as waters broke but no spontaneous labour. I had her in 1 1/2 hrs, while swearing and shouting at the poor, poor anaesthetist. I feel so guilty about that-she never got the epidural in as the first one didn't work and then I was about to push DD out when the second one was ready to do! Poor lovely lady. I was like a crazed roaring bear!!

We then stayed in hosp for several days as I had a raised temp in labour so they wanted to do IV antibiotics and careful obs on both of us.

Huge luck to those still to pop and congrats to those with gorgeous bundles. It's a busy time of year to have a baby!

Belgrano · 13/11/2012 08:33

'Taken me ages' not 'taken me she's'! Darn autocorrect.

ComradeJing · 13/11/2012 08:38

Congratulations Belgrano!

Gosh it is busy now! MIL arrived today so between her and SIL dd will be well looked after.

Wondering if things are ramping up. Feeling lots of squeezing on my bump but have been standing up for a few hours cooking. Will have a warm bath and see :)

Clarella · 13/11/2012 08:42

Congratulations pass, shanelle Belgrano and cacacaz!!!!

Wow they're coming thick and fast!

All the best apple :) and good luck detective :)

Belgrano · 13/11/2012 08:47

Ps when I said its a bush time to have a baby I didn't mean at the hospitals or delivery suites (mine was empty except for me!). Just the thread is busy!

Chunkychicken · 13/11/2012 09:02

Congrats to pass peaky Shanelle cacacaz and belgrano.

Best of luck to Apple.

stunt I am led to believe that DTD can encourage the cervix to bleed a little if it is getting 'ripe' for birth. Unless its loads, its prob a good sign, fingers crossed!!
