I'm not :( I'm bouncing on my ball...

FatimaLovesBread · 12/11/2012 14:56

Me too
Contemplating doing some housework, see if that will get things moving

StuntNun · 12/11/2012 14:59

No sign here at 40+4 but I'm having curry for dinner!

pikz · 12/11/2012 15:02

Curry and DTD I think tonight...might try some housework too Fatima. Stunt were all your other DC late?

applepieinthesky · 12/11/2012 15:03

I bet this is the start of a ridiculously long labour. We haven't had many of those have we? So law of averages says we are due one and knowing my luck it will be me. I haven't got the energy for it.

Don't really know what I'm feeling for Blush

I will just muddle through unless the intervals get really short or they get more painful. I want to stay home as long as possible anyway.

ShellyBobbs · 12/11/2012 15:24

Apple, even I didn't know yesterday if they were or not until things really revved up. When that happens, there is NO mistaking labour.

Fingers crossed for you x

georgee · 12/11/2012 15:41

Fingers crossed for a lovely smooth and swiftish labour for you apple. Personally I have no idea how it feels when it gets going naturally - hoping to find out this time - so you're doing better than me already!

Hurrah for your lovely births pasties and kirrin! Hurrah for a couple of girls too! There have been so many boys!

It really feels as if it's getting quite echoey in this antenatal thread, everyone's off to post-natal! I will definitely be here for ages. But this is good as far as I'm concerned - like Waiting I'd prefer to get any germs fairly far behind me before the baby is here. And I need to write all my Christmas cards. Three weeks (which is what I'm estimating for when mine arrives) still seems quite close!

MM here's a question I've been meaning to ask you - if you had a Valentine's conception, surely you'd be due earlier? When was your LMP? Mine was 23 Feb (ie after Valentine's) and I think we conceived around the beginning of March. My EDD is 25 November but I think 29 November. Or maybe you had a late Valentine's celebration cos of DH being away at sea ... that would make sense (I'm really not trying to pry into your sex life, I'm just wondering if you're due earlier than you've been told!).

MissMummy1 · 12/11/2012 16:00

Yes georgee I should have mentioned we celebrated it a week or so late as we were both working opposite ends of the country! I do think they've dated me a bit late too given that was the ONLY time we did it until the end of March when I moved down here permanently. My periods were all over the place at the time as well and I was taking the pill so they've gone solely on scan dates. Pry away, it's been very unexciting this past 8/9 months Blush !

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/11/2012 16:06

More babies arriving soon hopefully then!

I've just been to asda and got the last 4 pack of crunchies for £1! I'm not even preg anymore but still want them Grin

katkit1 · 12/11/2012 16:16

I'm wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me please, I had my 39 week midwife appointment today and I'm now measuring 42 weeks, I am being sent for another scan to check if I have too much fluid (she thinks the baby is "normal sized" and I have perhaps too much fluid - I made the mistake of looking up possible reasons on the internet which hasn't really helped.

georgee · 12/11/2012 16:20

MM - Aha that makes sense. Just that they dated me (I think) 9 days out with DD, it is possible I think (they say it's not possible to be out by more than 5 days but like you I was pretty sure of dates the first time round because it was the week before we got married, I was commuting to London from Edinburgh, and there wasn't much chance to DTD. I felt sure of my ovulation date so I jumped him just before getting on the train South!). Not wanting to give false hope or anything but it is possible for the scan dates to be a bit out.

Don't migrate to the new thread just yet though eh! Although there might come a point at which the rest of us will have to jump ship to the post-natal anyway maybe once there are just two or three of us - we'll just have to promise to be nice and sedate for the sleep-deprived mums ...

Anytime after next monday is fine for me! However I really do think I'm in for the long haul and have resigned myself to a December baby. Yes, lets wait till there's only 3 of us and then jump ship! (although my 24/7 sickness is making me very sleep deprived so I can only sympathise with them - maybe this is my body's way of preparing me for sleepless nights?!)

Brockle · 12/11/2012 16:30

Just gone in to be monitored as baby been v quiet for last two days. All good so just need him to move south now!

FatimaLovesBread · 12/11/2012 16:33

MM ahh late valentines celebrations. After reading georgees post I got confused too. I'm due 6 days before you but definately conceived on 2nd march. That explains it though.
Love how we're wondering about each others sex lives Smile

kat Could the baby have moved in to a position that's pushe the bump out more? So then it measures bigger? Not sure if that's possible just pondering. When's the scan?

I now have the crappy task of trying to find a dress for a funeral that's suitable for being either 39 weeks pregnant or with a newborn. Any suggestions? Should I purchase one of each and send whichever I don't wear back? Might have to pluck up the courage to start a thread in S&B

glendathegoodwitch · 12/11/2012 16:36

Afternoon ladies

Congrats Kirrin & Pasties

Big brother (13) & sister (7) are in love and are already arguing over who holds her for how long!!!! Just waiting for Dottie to have a final good blood sugar then we can go home yay!!!!!!

Good luck to those who are still waiting to pop xxx

Congrats glenda! Thanks

pikz · 12/11/2012 17:10

Congrats glenda

katkit I measured 40 at 38 midwife said could be a million things and not to worry.

kalidasa · 12/11/2012 17:47

I'm still here and doubt I'll be going anytime soon. Have spent really grim day entirely in bed due to horrendous sickness - yesterday evening I threw up with so little warning I only just missed a pile of washing up (nice!).

My TMI question for the day - can the rest of you who are still waiting feel the hard roundness of the baby's head through the wall of your vagina? I've noticed in the last few days that I can if I put a finger inside and just wondering if that means the baby has engaged as he must be quite low.

MissMummy1 · 12/11/2012 18:36

Congrats glenda ! Beautiful name. Your older two sound besotted, bless them!

Sympathies on the sickness front kali. Mine is constant. It's so debilitating some days Sad.

Well the muppet DH has gone to work without his lifejacket. God knows what he expects me to do about it considering he's taken my car tonight. Yet somehow he's insinuating it's my fault. Useless twunt. Angry

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2012 18:47

Congratulations pasties and glenda Grin
