Congrats kirrin fabulous news.

Nothing happening here. 39 weeks tomorrow.

Thinking if i plan loads of stuff that needs cancelling he will turn up!

dectective I concur on the strong and competent. From my experience of friends going back to work they expressed no bottle fed from early on so baby would take both.

I am lucky I can take a year all things being well and money being ok. It is so hard to juggle though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 12/11/2012 10:24

Congrats kirrin!! Great news :) which hospital did you go to?

pikz · 12/11/2012 10:25

Oh and QQ is 39 weeks a good time to get a couple of feeding bras?

WaitingForMe · 12/11/2012 10:29

That was a sudden influx of babies! Congratulations all.

Right now I absolutely do NOT want this baby to come. I had a cold start at the beginning of the weekend and last night called triage because I was coughing so much I'd thrown up and was giving myself really painful BHs each time. I'm now taking codeine (very trippy after 9 months of nothing but the odd paracetamol) which is preventing me from coughing as triage don't want me starting labour this way. I need to get better fast or I'll have a horrible time of things Sad

Lilliana · 12/11/2012 10:44

Great news Kirrin, congratulations x

kirrinIsland · 12/11/2012 11:07

Thanks all!

DH I'm at WHH . Not bad but your room sounded nicer !

detective you will be fine. Breastfeed for as long as works for you, and agree with everyone else - if anyone can do this, you can.

Iheartpasties · 12/11/2012 11:14

Congratulations pasties! Hope you get some sleep x

applepieinthesky · 12/11/2012 11:41

I wrote a long post then mn decided to go offline.

A bit fed up as everything has tailed off now but hopefully it's a good sign and means it will be days rather than weeks. It's my due date Friday so fingers crossed. Got told off by my parents for not calling them at 4.30 to let them know but I'm glad I didn't now because it would have been for nothing.

Congrats kirrin and pasties Thanks some little girls to even things up.

MissMummy1 · 12/11/2012 12:06

Woo pasties congrats! Lovely lovely name. Thanks

Hope you feel better soon waiting and fc things ramp up again quickly apple!

I stupidly pulled the short straw and agreed to sit in with my gran today to stop her being talked into buying a new boiler. I love her dearly but she's become so negative and is driving me mad. She has nothing nice to say about anyone (including complete strangers) and has spent the whole 20 mins I've been here running me down. I know I'm being oversensitive and hormonal, she's old and probably not got long left so it's understandable she's probably a bit depressed. Fact is she shouldn't be living on her own any more but she's too stubborn to accept she needs help. Sorry for offloading, it's just a tricky situation and I'm fed up of the rest of my family pretending it's not happening.

Chunkychicken · 12/11/2012 12:24

Congrats kirrin & pasties on the speedy arrival of your girls!! :)

Congratulation Kirrin and Pasties Thanks
Massively jealous, I want mine to come now Envy

I woke up feeling a bit less glum than last night. Was short lived though.
Spoke to my friend, i'd mentioned a couple of weeks ago that a friends Dad was in ICU seriously ill. Well he lost his fight yesterday at 58 years old, leaving behind two gorgeous grandchildren that he doted on Sad Feel awful and had a bit of a cry. My friend wants my baby to get a wriggle on so we can have a bit of happiness and so she can have newborn snuggles to cheer her up

ShellyBobbs · 12/11/2012 12:53

Congrats kirrin and pasties!

Detective Making decisions like that when you are knackered and hormonal is not the right time, you will work round it if you have to ((hugs))

StuntNun · 12/11/2012 13:06

Congratulations Kirrin and Pasties!

Don't be too downhearted Apple, all those tightenings will have been working to get your cervix into a more favourable state.

Prepare to be dead jealous but I've just found a four pack of fullsize Crunchies in the cupboard. DH bought them but they're mine now. Wink

Oooh Stuntnun, I think I may have to go raid our snack cupboard for a double decker.

Having some cramps but I think they may just be pootractions

applepieinthesky · 12/11/2012 13:41

How do I know if this is the real thing? I'm getting strong pains again and it's like a band going across my stomach under my bump. I have to stop what I'm doing and concentrate on my breathing techniques to get through them. They seem to be getting a bit closer together now but this has been going on since about 4.30 this morning so I'm confused. I don't want to go into hospital and get sent home again.

I downloaded an app on the iPad and they are averaging about 7 minutes in between now. Have been timing them for an hour.

Clarella · 12/11/2012 14:01

Congratulations kirrin and pasties! :)

Apples - i am a novice but could you call someone? Is the hospital far - if so is there any way your local mw could gave a look?

Being a little ambassador from the dec thread (my edd is 26th nov but wound up there after date confusion) - the xmas ladies are loving the description of pootractions and some are getting them, but we did have an early baby at about 32 weeks and his mum had those feelings and then was 4cm dilated. She had a lot of bh though and i think some were painful. How long have some of you been getting pootractions and how do you tell the difference (or is that a how long is a piece of string thing?!) Sorry to be annoying naive first timer!

Clarella · 12/11/2012 14:02

a look

FatimaLovesBread · 12/11/2012 14:04

apple Could you ahem have a feel?

FatimaLovesBread · 12/11/2012 14:53
