I had Braxton Hicks and twinges three nights in a row earlier in the week. Nothing the last two days but they've started again tonight. Not particularly painful though so doubt it's anything.

Mw appointment was fine and baby is now measuring spot on after being a week behind at the last two appointments.

tits fingers crossed for tomorrow, I would love for you to have the first November baby.

Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 22:12

Tomorrow is another day tits! Get that door barricaded!

I am sitting with the cat and DH's legs on my knee. Pinned down - can't move anywhere. Have an Erdinger alcohol free Weissbier but would rather have the slice f chocolate cheesecake which is in the kitchen.

DH is lying snoring - he is completely knackered and even slept though Breaking Bad. He said to me yesterday that he didn't think he could cope if I started having contractions then. I really need to encourage him to get to bed earlier.

Am watching Lethal Weapon at the moment. Bored

Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 22:26

It woul appear baby has changed position. Having been lying with his/her spine on my left and legs on my right there seems to have been a change of heart and the spine is now on my right. I can feel legs or something on my left and that is where I am feeling most movement.

Is this likely to be a problem?

Also, thought I would have a wee go at the breast pump today. Just a shot to see how I worked and if there was a knack. Seemed to work pretty well actually. I only did it for about a minute but I did get some colostrum. It was amazing to see it drip out. It did strike me that there was a fair amount of waste - the breasty cup bit was quite covered and there was no way of getting it in the bottle. Hmm - I imagine I will find out if this is an issue at some point.

Really want my cheesecake. How rotten would it be to 'accidentally' wake up DH?

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 22:37

Passme

With the pump, so much colostrum gets wasted in the way you describe. The pump comes in to its own once your milk is in.

Hand expression is the way to go in the first couple of days.

For what it's worth I get 5mls if I hand express, I tried the pump a couple of times (for nipple stimulation!) this week, and got less than 1ml, and most of it didn't go in the bloody bottle, but dribbled back down the shield!

BAH!

Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 22:45

That makes sense. On a very rough guess I reckon there was about 1ml maybe 2ml in the bottle. My boob was soaking and I ended up dripping some on my top. It's amazingly yellow.

In cheesecake news, DH started to sleep talk so I talked back. He sort of woke up when I was laughing at what he was saying (I think he is dreaming about the growth scan next week - he says he is going to research how to tell if it is a boy or a girl). I mentioned cheesecake, off he went and then came and sat back down sans cheesecake. Apparently it was out coming to room temperature. I thought he had done that about 2 hours ago! Don't want it now. Sulked for him to put it back in the fridge. If I can't have it immediately then I don't want it. He did this, say back down and has immediately fallen asleep. I think he might be a bit pissed actually. He tried to have us dance to the song we had as a first dance at our wedding - we were pretty damned clumsy then but trying to dance with a giant bump was less than chic.

Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 22:46

What are your doing with what you get detective? I just rinsed the bottle. Are you aiming to gather some?

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 22:51

DP has no idea how to handle me with a bump! He squishes it ALL the sodding time! We had a dance last week, and all I got was bump bashed!

Can't you stick the cheesecake on the radiator?! Or in a warm room! Or get the hairdryer on it?!

Oh, that just reminded me, whoever asked earlier about shagging I forgets who! Grin the only way I found was from behind, but not spooning. Our top halves were no where near each other. Only our bottom halves....!

Not the sexiest of positions. But neither was the aim of the game!

It was a needs must, grit your teeth job! Thank fuck he was quick

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 22:55

I haven't bothered in the end. I did want to have a small supply, but I decided I couldn't be bothered as the first lot I did DP squirted down the effing sink thinking it was waste. Twunt! Then I just couldn't be arsed doing it as I think I'll be able to get it off quickly enough should I want/need it anyway. I'm hoping I won't need it though!

I've just been seeing what I could get, maybe once or twice a week for the last few!

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 22:56

Curiosity now more than anything...!

georgee · 02/11/2012 22:57

It was me Detective asking about shagging, thanks for the info! I think we might give it a go when we get near the dates. Hope you have a lovely birthday weekend BTW!

Passme talking about sleep talking and that sort of thing reminds me that DH gets a bit prone to that with a new baby - with DD he kept getting up and peering into her moses basket to make sure she was still there. One memorable night he actually got up and made me a cup of tea in his sleep. I wonder if that sort of thing will start happening again with this one!

Right, off to bed now! Sleep well all!

Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 23:06

Now sleep tea making sounds useful! DH was muttering something about 'little little willies'. The thing is that if you talk to him he answers back but it is total garbage.

I have given up on cheesecake. Didn't need it anyway. I have left DH sleeping on the sofa with the cat. I am now in bed with my kindle.

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 23:10

Thanks Georgee!! I wouldn't recommend it though...

MissMummy1 · 02/11/2012 23:13

I sleep talk apparently Blush.

Feel sick again. Yuck. Don't think I have anything else to throw up (tmi). Thought ms was bad in first 3/4 months but this is on a par with the time I threw up a bottle of tequila and red wine! Blehhhh Sad.

StuntNun · 02/11/2012 23:16

Detective, Twilight is fine but do not under any circumstances watch Breaking Dawn Part 1 when labour is imminent. I had read the book three times but when I watched the film a couple of weeks ago the birth scene was horrific to watch!

Chunkychicken · 02/11/2012 23:17

Fed up.

Can't find any curtains for the nursery as the window is too big for standard curtains. Can't find any material I like either, as DH's Grandma said she'd make them.

BHs are continuing well although baby has been quite quiet today (still moving regularly). Plus nice sharp 'shocks' when baby heads even further down... Would def rather not have this for 4 more weeks!!!

DH has also been considerably sarcastic/"joking" tonight and generally unhelpful. He also failed to answer the question on how old/young baby has to be before he will "sacrifice" his hockey game on the Saturday. I mean, is it too much to expect that I won't get left alone with a newborn, toddler and my post-partum sore body for the first week or 2??!!!

Despite all this, tempted to shag him to see if it gets things moving. All in the name of science of course...

Keeping fc for you Tits!!

Peaky1 · 02/11/2012 23:22

Lmao@'little little willies'! Last time I sleep talked I was telling DP about the Gremlins trying to sell me nappies Confused

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 23:32

Stunt That was exactly what we watched last week haha!! DS watched, and I told him birth is NOTHING like that. He seemed rather disappointed...

Hmm
TheDetective · 02/11/2012 23:34

DP sleep talks. It is verrrrry funny! I wish I had recorded some of his more hilarious outpourings... mwhahaha!

Chunkychicken · 02/11/2012 23:39

DH is watching Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay. Not funny. Will go to bed I think.

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 23:53

I'm going to bed too. Now I've just snaffled in the last 3 hours... mash, veggie sausage and gravy, a scone with clotted cream, chilli infused onion rings, and a baked potato.

Carbs, what carbs!!!

I'm also slightly happy that I might now be going to the comedy store in Manchester on Sunday! It is free for me (NHS concession - wayhey!) and £3.50 for DP! Can do a nice meal before hand too. So feeling less like a spoiled brat now! Just need to see if anyone fancies babysitting my mum always will but hate asking her!.

I might even have enough for a trip to the cinema with DS in the afternoon. Ace!

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 23:54

By the way, you can see why we don't have much money left... my food consumption is seriously racking up the pennies!

BarmeeMarmee · 03/11/2012 00:11

Off to bed for me too. Exhausted but sort of hoping I get woken up by labour starting in the night. Does it show I'm getting desperate?! Fingers crossed for some more babies starting to put in an appearance soon.

Chunkychicken · 03/11/2012 00:12

Is it likely that my waters went when I was on the loo? I was busy minding my own business and suddenly it felt like there was a LOT of liquid coming out.Blush It was probably just wee right? It felt like it wasn't quite in the usual 'wee' place but that's to be expected at 37+wks pg right??!!! Confused It was prob all in my head, because DH & I had just discussed what we'd do re; home birth if waters went first....Hmm

TheDetective · 03/11/2012 00:15

Pop a pad on - only way to know!

I always think my waters have gone. I'm just a one woman pee leaking machine though :(

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 03/11/2012 02:37

Trying to keep up but its hard!

Up feeding but I'm sore, nipples feel like they are being grated :(
