Oh waiting you poor thing, get well soon!

We haven't heard from pass for a while have we? I wonder if something's happening?

SwissArmyWife · 02/11/2012 09:31

waiting I hope you get better soon :(

tits thank the lord you are finally getting an induction! All the best!

Good luck to those of you having sections!

Oh and congrats to izzy on baby James!
DP is also a James!

I have not been in the mood for sex at all, what with the pgp, piles, and the pressure from the baby, I just can't stand the though of it! Poor DP. Anyway apparently it doesn't have any effect for bringing on labour at all, would be more effective swallowing semen than actually DTD!
I stupidly mentioned this to DP and now he keeps mentioning blow jobs whenever I say I want to have the baby!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 02/11/2012 09:36

Wow there are a lot of DHS and DOs called James!!

I've had my transfusion so waiting on blood being taken to see if we can escape! Reason for transfusion was retained placenta then post partum haemmhorage. Will give details later :(

Chunkychicken · 02/11/2012 09:44

Can't remember the last time we DTD here. DH is a bit of a morning fella and with a 2.6yo coming in for cuddles first thing, it doesn't happen. Which, lately, is a bit annoying for me (until the last day or 2, where baby is so low I can't close my legs when sat down - it hurts - so I can't imagine putting something up there Blush). Willing to try though if I thought it would shift baby!!!

I like the idea of the 10th, but as my birthday is 1st, DD is 21st & DH is 31st, the 11th would have a nice symmetry to it... Also, like 21st (despite 2 days late) as this would mean exactly 2.7yrs between DC. Otherwise I'll just be happy at baby arriving at some point this month!!!!

Titsalinabumsquash · 02/11/2012 09:56

It's really busy and inductions are being done on the basis of clinical need, mine is likely to be tonight or early hours of the morning, there are 2 with broken waters so they're obviously priority and 1 very overdue. I'm not sure what else is going on upstairs but I am still on the list at least.

Lilliana · 02/11/2012 09:57

oh waiting you poor thing. Your DH sounds fab. Have a quiet day together and take care.

Tits so hope nothing gets in the way of yoour induction. Keep us updated!

We haven't DTD for ages, poor DH but I just feel like a whale :( Now feeling bad when I hear some people are still going once a week!!

Izzy hope all is well and you get to escape soon.

Waiting in for a tumble drier today. Have woken up feeling sick so don't think much will be happening today.

CharleeWarlee · 02/11/2012 10:00

Once a week? Blush Im still managing about 3 times a week, sometimes 4. Depending on how tired I am.

Good luck to those babies hopefully arriving today!

I have a growth scan today and should hopefully get an induction date if my consultant is actually in clinic today rather than his registrars who like to fob me off dearly!

MissMummy1 · 02/11/2012 10:21

Waiting my total sympathies. I woke up about 2am and threw up all over my bathroom too. Sad My dh was an absolute star as well (apparently I told him I was dying Blush) and stayed awake with me all night. After watching me spew through my nose the romance in our relationship has definitely gone!

Still feeling crap but got an important meeting this afternoon and a couple of tutoring clients this evening that I've already fobbed off once this week.

All the best to those with inductions and sections today. Can't wait for more baby news later xxx

kirrinIsland · 02/11/2012 10:32

waiting and MM hope you are both feeling better soon :(

Despite being desperate for this baby to get here, I could not even entertain the idea of dtd!

applepieinthesky · 02/11/2012 10:53

3 times a week? We are managing maybe twice a month at the moment.

Good luck for today tits. I hope they don't find another excuse not to do it today.

Our new sofas arrived this morning and they're so comfy so just lounging about at the moment. Not much planned for today but I've got a mw appointment this afternoon. After lots of BH earlier in the week they have all tailed off now Sad 38 weeks today and I don't feel like he's coming any time soon.

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/11/2012 10:54

Oh no, lots of us feeling poorly :( rubbish time of the year, starts to get properly cold and we just want our babies here!

Might do some online xmas shopping, ds is happy playing with some magnetic letters and a pot on the floor, sweet :)

FatimaLovesBread · 02/11/2012 11:03

Unmumsnetty hugs to all the poorly people Sad

3-4 times a week Shock I seriously cannot remember the last time we DTD, could be years ago for all I remember Blush
I have had periods of being ridiculously horny throughout the pregnancy but the first 12 weeks I was too sicky and knackered, then PGP kicked in, that eased around 20 weeks but returned at about 25 weeks when i started getting fat and anaemic. The gap between 20-25weeks when I felt ok coincided with DH having a cold and then a tummy bug and being generally knackered. Ah well, he doesn't seem bothered

I have been mega productive today, so far I have:

  • cleaned the kitchen - Showered - Cleaned the bathroom - Put a load of washing on - Cleaned the mould from the bedroom windows - cleaned the windows - stripped the old silicon from round the shower - hoovered the whole of upstairs, including skirting boards and under beds
and it's only 11am! Still got a few jobs to do but I may save some of those for DH
MissMummy1 · 02/11/2012 11:19

We haven't dtd since 20 weeks. After which I cried because it was so crap Blush. I think I've put him off for life!

Thechick · 02/11/2012 11:27

Fatima that sounds amazing. Today I have bathed and fed the baby, put him to sleep. Washed the pump stuff, soothed the baby as he woke up wanting mummy hugs and now I'm pumping. Everything takes such a long time with a new born.

DonnaDoon · 02/11/2012 11:33

MM1 I could have wrote your post lol

DonnaDoon · 02/11/2012 11:34

Congratulations Izzy I have a ds James and he is such a lovely boy and liked by everyone especially his teachers (boast over)

Chunkychicken · 02/11/2012 11:37

Bored. Nesting on hold as DH does the plumbing work needed (for dishwasher - the new must-have for post-baby surely??!!- and to move the radiator in baby's room last-minute.com much) so I'm at a loose end :(

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 12:06

Once a week? We've managed 4 times the entire pregnancy. And I cried 50% of the time after because I hated it, and it hurt including last night which btw, I'm still fecking here, so clearly did sod all. Not bothering again.

Thank god for understanding DP...

I need a slap to pull me together. I'm sat here in tears after waking up this morning to an email from the matron at work requesting a statement from me in the next 3 weeks. Basically an incident at work - it means I have to go in and access the notes and then sit and type a statement. I know what the incident is - after ringing to ask she didn't think that info was important to let me know clearly and it is around a delivery, so really feel I have no choice but to do it.

But seriously? I'm due TOMORROW and they chose today to tell me? And want it in the next 3 weeks. I'm so angry, and of course wondering what the outcome will be, as usual the midwife at delivery ends up the scapegoat, so what will all this mean for me. Oh god, I don't need this right now.

Angry
Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 12:08

Good aftermorning ladies,

Nae chance of any baby shiftage here sadly! We have been at a wedding - left for DH's parents on Wednesday and got back very late last night. It was nice to be out and about but I was very glad to be home last night. No sleep either Tuesday and Wednesday night so had a massive long lie this morning. Between weeing literally every 10 minutes and dreadful indigestion I ended up peeing standing up and sleeping sitting down. Boo.

Anyhoo! I go away for a couple of days and we get another baby! Congrats Izzy. Lovely name. I am sorry to hear about the need for a transfusion - I really hope that you are fighting fit very soon.

I was really delighted to read that tits is finally on for an induction today. Get that door barricaded Missus!

Sorry I am confused with posts - was it waiting who was poorly? Sounds awful - your DH is performing husbandly duties with aplomb!

I am very impressed at the 3x deed doing glenda! I honestly can't remember the last time we did it. I actually wouldn't mind but DH seems non-plussed. I should really encourage it as who knows when we might next after baby comes?

In other news I ironed my bump this morning. That's what you get for ironing in bra and pants

Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 12:11

detective that is incredibly poor show. How long have they known there was an issue? They can hardly say you left work early - you have only just started mat leave! I can understand if an issue needs managing but why the complete and utter lack of compassion? Arseholes

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 12:12

I think it was from about 5-6 weeks ago IIRC. :(

Passmethecrisps · 02/11/2012 12:32

When you were still at work. There have to be procedures in place for this sort of event. Same could happen to any of us in public service.

Chunkychicken · 02/11/2012 12:43

That sucks Detective.

I burnt my bump with hot liquid splashing the other day. Fed up with it being in the way!

Getting moody because I am SO bored Angry

TheDetective · 02/11/2012 12:44

I'll have to ring the union I guess and ask what is reasonable in this situation.

I have said provided I am well, I will go in on tuesday, to see the notes. But I can't say I can do it, and don't see why I should make any promises or commitments to do it in the next 3 weeks.

Besides, can the statement of a sleep deprived heavily pregnant woman/new mum be held accountable?!

I wouldn't mind, but I remember being off late that shift due to staying behind to do an incident form. That'll be where the statement has come from - I don't think it is a complaint.

So that will be more unpaid overtime then...!

CharleeWarlee · 02/11/2012 12:50

Have had my growth scan, babys line has dropped again! She is measuring around 5lb 5oz now. And head is 3/5ths engaged. Consultant has booked me in to see him again in 2 weeks but doesnt think I will be attending the appointment....exciting!
