Oh cadmum, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you and your OH at this time :( big hugs to you xox

bext · 26/11/2012 22:01

Just to echo everyone else's sentiments cadmum. Your and mama's situations are rather sobering and our thoughts are with you.
Rachel is a beautiful name. I hope you and your DH are managing to find strength in each other. xx

NotShortImFunSized · 26/11/2012 22:03

Cadmum I am so, so sorry to hear your utterly sad news Sad Especially hard as it's happened before, seems so damn unfair. Just know we are here for you but will understand if it's hard for you to be here reading all our news. Thinking of you and your little angel, Rachel and sending you much love and hugs. I hope you're being well looked after xx

Mama I have everything crossed for you and little boy bump. You have come so far and stayed so strong, both of you! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

aufaniae · 26/11/2012 22:52

steph2412 thanks for remembering, that's really nice of you :)
We had an extra scan int he end, not long after the 12 week scan, the consultant checked the baby really thoroughly, looking at the soft markers and her conclusion was that all looked fine so we decided against going for invasive tests. Same good news at this scan, all looks fine - very reassuring :)

MumofWombat · 27/11/2012 02:38

Oh cadmum, Rachel is a beautiful name and I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you don't mind that I said a little prayer for her and for you. Thinking of you xx

Cadmum · 27/11/2012 02:51

Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. It means the world to dh and I.

This is not true for everyone who has a miscarriage but I do not find it difficult to read about your continuing pregnancies. I wish you all the best and have a special place in my heart for those with previous losses or tricky pregnancies. I don't believe that there are a finite number of babies available or that our loss would be any easier to bear if others were in a similar situation.

Dh and I feel very, very blessed to have four healthy dcs and to have the experience of being part of our lost babies short lives. We both knew the odds were not in our favour with this pregnancy...

I wish you all healthy pregnancies, easy labours and content babies! I will check in periodically to see how you are doing.

Trishstar · 27/11/2012 04:29

cadmum what an amazing attitude you have! You sound like a strong and brave lady and your children sound like they have an inspirational Mum xxx

Much love xxxx

boldandbeautiful · 27/11/2012 07:23

Hi all newbie here. Could I join in please? I do not talk to anyone in rl about the baby as am crippled with shyness. It is also my first.

I am 18 weeks and 5 days today and have my 20 weeks scan scheduled for next week. Could I pop in here and ask questions that I can't in real life
It will be much appreciated
P.s. Am not in the U.K and have never been. I saw the site when I was googling for stuff.

Missmuffet28 · 27/11/2012 07:40

Welcome boldandbeautiful hope you find this thread as useful as I do! No need to be shy here we are all in the same boat :) and getting some reassurance from the people in your 'boat' I think can be the difference between sanity and insanity sometimes Grin !

cadmum you are a brave lady and very kind to think of others when your in such a difficult place right now I wish you all the best and your family sounds wonderful xx

Missmuffet28 · 27/11/2012 07:43

Oh and congratulations bold ! What's your due date? :)

20+2 (crap just realised I'm theoretically closer to the end than the beginning!)

bunnygirl80 · 27/11/2012 08:20

flamin congrats on your little boy

boldandbeautiful welcome to the thread. Whereabouts are you? I'm in Australia, although I'm from the UK originally.

Smile

Trishstar · 27/11/2012 08:31

Scan at 9.10 today. I know steph has hers today too along with a couple others (sorry I've forgotten) xxx

Will report back later xxx

Mama1980 · 27/11/2012 08:36

Morning. Thank you so much everyone. We're still hanging on. I'm being monitored every 3/4 hours for signs of labour or foetal distress. So far babes heartbeat is strong and stable but I am bleeding more, doesn't seem possible i have so much blood in me. 22+1 today. To those who asked about my children, to be honest I've seen them a bit but its getting scary now and I don't look good so I'm mostly talking to them on the phone. I miss them so much but I know my family are looking after them. Dd is so excited about the baby I'm terrified for her. On a lighter note she and ds have finally agreed on a name and i have started calling bump that, sounds strange but if it does all go wrong I want him to know the name his sister chose and how loved he was. It feels like a way I can 'tell' him.
boldandbeautiful welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy were all friendly and the support is amazing.
cadmum my thoughts are with you. you sound a amazing strong mum xxx
flaminpanda congratulations on your scan
empress I asked the midwife apparently one accidental eating of goats cheese is very unlikely be a problem but if you are unsure call your midwife for reassurance. Happens all the time apparently.
To everyone else -sorry I can't scroll through on here - thank you so much as always for the thoughts and support. It means so much.

Mama1980 · 27/11/2012 08:37

Good luck to everyone having their scans today

jj247 · 27/11/2012 10:09

cadmum I'm blown away by what a thoughtful, loving, strong person you are, to think of others with all you must be going through is truly inspirational and my thoughts and love go your way.

mama my thoughts are with you too, so encouraged to hear that little bump's heartbeat is strong and stable, I've got everything crossed that he hangs on in there and comes out when he is strong enough, lovely that you are now all calling him by his name, i'm sure he can hear you and knows he is loved by you all

bold welcome! I'm due on the 22nd so we're almost due buddies :) my parents lived in kenya for 3 yrs, Africa is such an incredible continent, I do so hope to return one day

trishstar congratulations on the scan (so cute he was waving!) and congrats and good luck to everyone else with their scans, 6 days and counting... :)

19+0

Mama1980 · 27/11/2012 10:10

Congratulations trishstar am thrilled for you so exciting Smile

FlaminNoraImPregnantPanda · 27/11/2012 10:12

Ahhh, congratulations Trishstar.

JaquelineHyde · 27/11/2012 11:34

Morning Peeps Smile

Cadmum I am in awe of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mama every day that passes is a step in the right direction. Keep strong. Do you want to share bumps chosen name? We have several on the go but can't agree on anything Grin

Congratulations on all the fabulous scan news coming through. Still waiting for my scan next week. Still not really feeling any movement which is worrying me slightly but I'm sure it will happen soon.

I had a crash this morning on tha A27, some idiot in a white van going to fast not looking where he was going has just run right into the back of me, smashed up my lovely new car, buggered up the gear box (automatic so it's a nightmare) and the car had to be recovered.

I was a shaking, blubbering wreck, in complete shock like an utter idiot Blush and now I have a really achey neck and pains down my shoulder and left arm Sad

Bloody men drivers!! Grin

steph2412 · 27/11/2012 11:54

Hope your ok jhyde congrats trish really happy for you thinking of you cadmom and mama. got my scan at 4 so nervous x

Crazytictac · 27/11/2012 12:06

jacqueline that must a have been horrible shock. Hope your nerves are recovering and the whiplash doesn't last too long.

trishstar congrats on your little boy! Bet it was lovely seeing him. We must have been having our scans at the same time!

I have an anterior placenta which I think a few of us on this thread do, but I still got myself into a stew about not feeling hardly any movement esp as this is my second. Anyway, baby was fine. Was made to jump up and down and walk upstairs to get it in a better scanning position. Sonographer was quite forceful pushing poor little thing too! Seems this baby is just very relaxed, complete opposite to my DS! I could see it moving despite not feeling anything, so a lot more relaxed now.

20 + 4

itsaruddygame · 27/11/2012 12:54

Cadmum I am so sorry to hear that you lost your baby. I can't even imagine how grief stricken you must feel. Thoughts with you and your partner.

Mama everything crossed for you that you get through these next few weeks. Your baby is definately a little fighter and I will be praying that he hangs in there for you.

Jacqueline sorry to hear of your crash - what a nightmare. What a pillock of a driver in the white van. Have you been to get checked out?

I have not been on for a few days and there is so much to catch up on. All well with my bump - getting lots of movement now and feeling reasonably well apart from rather stressed at work which is not ideal! I have started antenatal pilates classes which I am really enjoying - is anyone else doing them?

Trishstar · 27/11/2012 13:24

My placenta is anterior too however I have felt movements but only small xxx
