bext I saw it briefly, I remember it being quite glitzy but nice. Not something you'd wear down the supermarket though.

Missmuffet28 I've had my recycling bins nicked countless times but a wheelie bin? That really takes the biscuit.

Congrats on your boy IfAtFirstUDontSucceed. I've got my scan on Tuesday and part of me really wants to know but ultimately I want a surprise. I wonder if the bits are so obvious sometimes that doesn't work out?

By the way is anyone here on anti-sickness medication at all? My sickness wasn't improving so I was prescribed Stemetil, which has a dizzying array of potential side effects and can affect the baby in the third trimester. They are doing wonders for the sickness but I am scared to take them beyond the 2nd trimester. Anyone else had experience of them?

usernamegoeshere · 17/11/2012 12:12

I told. Went okay, family is slowly absorbing the information, no major reactions just concern really.

Congrats on the good scans, mine still feels far far away.

Such lovely scan news! I want mine done now. I don't think I'll get much sleep tomorrow night! At least my scan is first thing on Monday so I don't have to wait all day.

itsaruddygame · 17/11/2012 18:45

Another boy here! All looks good and growing as it should be Smile

Glad all seems to be going well for us all!

bext · 17/11/2012 18:55

username congrats on getting it out in the open. Sounds like it might be awkward for a bit while they get used to it but hopefully they'll start getting excited soon!

Mama1980 · 17/11/2012 19:01

Well hair has been washed not sure it's a improvement but still is cleanish Smile I'm shattered.
missmuffet they say 30ish weeks would be best case at the moment. Realistically they think pre 28 weeks given the state of the placenta but it depends on different factors they'll judge day to day once I reach 24 weeks.

somewherebecomingrain · 17/11/2012 19:31

A girl here and all looking ok xx

Mama glad you have squeaky clean hair :)

I am feeling a lot of movement which is lovely, can't feel it through my tummy yet but I know placenta is anterior so probably due to that.

Great to hear all the great scan news :)

Bought some maternity clothes at long last today. I currently have no jeans which will both do up and not fall down while I walk! Hoping the jeans I just bought will stay on OK!

ratbagcatbag · 17/11/2012 22:22

Hi all,
Havent updates in aaaages, but I check in most days! So glad that everyone is getting on we'll

Our 20 wk was on Thursday- little baby was fine- fairly un-cooperative, but fine! And the hands! And feet!! Just so adorable- and the spine!! It. Amazing!

Small problemo- my placenta is covering my cervix, which apparently is fairly common. They'll re-scan me at 30 wks, and if its moved then great, and if it hasn't then ill need a c-section. It's not ideal, but at least the baby is fine, so we're trying not to worry about it.

The baby has been doing some amazing moving! Massive kicks and wiggles. DH felt it last week, but last night we could actually SEE my tummy moving! It was amazing!

ratbag- sorry to hear things are stressful- is everything ok?

Xxx

Morning all, have a very random problem, doubtful pregnancy related but you never know! Have had a bad back on and off the last few weeks, then yesterday morning I woke up, back twinging as it has been but now my knee and ankle KILLING! Not one to not deal with pain, my knee is throbbing and think that is the course with pains less bad going from my back and down to my ankle, only on one side, could only sleep with frozen peas on it all night, any advice?

Morning everyone so lovely to hear all the scan news December 6th feels so, so far away at the moment Grin However, we did buy advent calanders yesterday so I'm sure December will be here before we know it.

Essex I'm not entirely sure but it could be the pressure of your uterus on the bottom of your spine and some of the nerves that run right down your legs.

I have had sciatica previously that caused aching and throbbing in my lower back and then progressed onto my right hand knee causing a really uncomfortable achey pain that was constant and then shooting stabbing pains every now and again.

I would pop to the GP and just get it checked out but it is probably something like sciatica.

ratbagcatbag · 18/11/2012 08:55

Hi wishful

My dfil has had a hip replacement after a bad fall, were only a small family do taking dmil to hospital every night is really tiring and he's had complications which is making what will already be a long recovery more difficult. Then just stuff breaking and needing money spending which is a nightmare at this time of year.

I'm
Sure we will be all fine, it just feels a hard slog right now. :) on the bright side I bought my first baby item from ideal home show at Christmas yesterday, a gorgeous white bunny rabbit cuddly toy. :)

ratbagcatbag · 18/11/2012 08:58

Sorry Essex, managed to miss off responding. I keep getting similar pains in my back and down one of my legs. I heard it was difference in position and possible sciatica. paracetamol help me at the moment. Hope you feel better soon.
Oh also had a lower back massage Friday night, on a chair rather than bed, that helped loads.

EmpressMatilda · 18/11/2012 22:31

My scan is first thing tomorrow too sneezy Fingers crossed for us both. I am nervous and excited. Got to try and sleep now.
