Are you eating like a horsey horsey ? That will be the added space and less pressure on your innards. Go get some cookies!

ValiumQueen · 17/10/2012 21:25

Not so much the thirs, although I have just had a wee beer.

Off to bed, sweet dreams all x

ValiumQueen · 17/10/2012 21:25

thirst even Blush

horseylady · 17/10/2012 21:27

Not really as I don't want to shock my body into taking on lots of food!! But I feel really hungrey/thirsty? It's really odd. I think it's because I can now eat!!! I did just eat a twirl. With a glass of milk. Now I want more to drink??!! And eat!?

TheDetective · 17/10/2012 21:28

Definitely sounds like baby has moved in to the pelvis Horsey

Enjoy it, you won't get it next time around... this little sod does the can can in and out of mine Hmm

Benefits you say VQ.... hmmmmm.... there are one or two Grin

At least DP is generally more mature than his mates... I guess most men never grow out of computer games! My mums husband is 55, and still plays his playstation!

I will hope that he grows out of it when I am here anyway!

TheDetective · 17/10/2012 21:30

I am more hungry in the mornings than the evenings lately! Can take or leave a night time snack, but am raiding the fridge at 4am! I could eat an evening meal for breakfast, and breakfast for an evening meal!

Also went through a very thirsty patch, where it seemed nothing quenched my thirst!

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2012 21:31

horsey me! I realised recently that I was eating when I was actually thirsty. I knew I needed something so would eat fruit but what I really needed was water. Trying to drink water frequently now

shanelle5 · 17/10/2012 21:33

Horsey I was going to ask the same thing. I am almost always hungry and eating little and VERY often! Babies are growing maybe? Ive even been going to bed peckish...

kissyfur · 17/10/2012 21:35

I find I'm hungry when I wake up in the night, it's v annoying! Having to eat just before bed now

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2012 21:36

I cannot believe what a hard time you have been having shannelle. I am so sorry about the terrible timing as well - it must have felt impossible to say what was going on when we are all sharing smushy stories.

I have no advice at all. I have never been in your shoes. What I hope we can all offer you though is some virtual hand holding.

applepieinthesky · 17/10/2012 21:36

detective My dad is 58 and still occasionally plays on the Xbox. Men never really grow up.

MissMummy1 · 17/10/2012 21:37

For all of dh's flaws, he does not play computer games and hates watching sport!

Talk went well. He accepted it is unreasonable to go sailing as well as everything else. I didn't even need to cry/shout/slam any doors! He's also agreed to organise stuff for his parents to do during the day and I heard him on the phone telling them I need to rest as much as possible so if they aren't going to be helpful then they will need to be prepared to amuse themselves when he's at work.

All in all I think I've drummed it into him he's being a twat! and got my own way. When I said earlier I'm lucky to have him, what I meant is I'm lucky he puts up with all of my strops and dramas without complaint!

Bluetinkerbell · 17/10/2012 21:40

Anyone else having vibrating kind of sensations down below?
Had whooping cough jab yesterday and achy arm...

Hand holding here as we'll for everyone going through a tough time

TheDetective · 17/10/2012 21:42

YW Was it you who was looking for a cable knit thingy?! I saw this and thought of you! Though I seem to remember you found what you were after in the end... but just in case!

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 17/10/2012 21:56

Popping in so I can keep up.

Sorry to hear of your separation shanelle that must be incredibly difficult for you. We are all here anytime you need to moan.

YellowWellies · 17/10/2012 21:58

Detective - yip that was me. I got that one after someone else on here recommended it! It arrived last week and I loves it :)

Glad the heart to heart went well MM and I bet you feel empowered that it didn't take a hissy fit to make him see your very sensible point. Tell your DH he's on the scary MN ladies naughty list! Sorry if I'm a bit forthright it's because I know you in real life and know that you're a lovely lass who doesn't deserve to be treated badly.

Shanelle jeez the last five weeks must have been horrific. Didn't you just lose a grandparent too a few months ago? You've had a hell of a time of it this pregnancy. If there is anything you need in real life please shout. Please also feel free to share here - we're all here to support you.

I wonder if catbag is having twin cuddles!? ENVY!

I had a lovely tapestry class this pm and my tutor has given me two projects to be getting on with.... Now will this mean I'll end up with an early baby - or will it give me something to do whilst I wait until December? Ahhh either option would be ok I guess.

TheDetective · 17/10/2012 22:04

Glad to hear it YW I've got a little large shopping basket on Gap... But we don't need any more clothes! Really... we don't. But I want them!!

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2012 22:10

Project sounds good yw. I love your general attitude and honesty. I think people on here know that if you say something then you really mean it.

Did go to Aldi. Saves me a job tomorrow. Snapped the handle of my shopping bag though so had to stand repacking in the rain.

A slightly tipsy DH is trying to persuade the cat to yawn so he can take her picture. This involves him yawning and telling her she looks tired.

TheDetective · 17/10/2012 22:11

Pass You are making me want to find the nearest cat rescue, and get a shit load of the buggers! I miss my cat! I want a cat! My mum would kill me if I got a cat right now Grin

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2012 22:18

Aw! detective you can have a virtual share of my cat. She is from a rescue centre. I am a very bad influence as I would go with you to get a million kitties RIGHT NOW!

YellowWellies · 17/10/2012 22:18

I wanted to take a barncat kitten or two off of a neighbouring farmers' hands a couple of months ago but DH was uber sensible mentioning the baby and the move, and being careful with money. I still think my logic of 'well our sleep is going to go to shit' anyway was pretty faultless? Pah...

horsey sounds like you is engaged innit!!!?

Aww pass bless you. I know I can be too lairy but I just don't put up with crap now I'm over the hill - I perhaps should remove my feet from my mouth occasionally.

kissyfur · 17/10/2012 22:19

Just heard that my sis in law who is due 3 weeks after me has gone into hospital because her waters have broken! She's 32 and a half weeks, please reassure me that baby stands a very good chance!? She has polyhydraminos so was due to be admitted to hospital at 36 weeks, this is all a bit of a shock!

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2012 22:21

In other news. Aldi do delicious tiny icecreams like little magnums. 12 in a box for £1.99! Bargainous and totally delicious. Really useful for my new sweet tooth

Passmethecrisps · 17/10/2012 22:23

kissy what a worry! I am not sure about percentages or the condition your SIL has but I am fairly certain that at 32 weeks the baby has a very good chance. I hope others can be more specific

TheDetective · 17/10/2012 22:25

Yes Kissy the baby is very developed, although small.

It isn't a definite she will deliver yet, the next 48 hours will give you a better idea of what is happening. A lot of the time the babies hang on for quite a bit longer yet, and she may be able to come home returning for regular checks (usually twice weekly).

But if she delivers, baby will go to SCBU, may possibly need assistance with ventilation (often CPAP at that gestation which is just positive pressure on the lungs and oxygen) a feeding tube as may not have the suckling reflex yet. The majority of issues with that gestation and above are breathing/feeding/jaundice.
